This review is based on online orders only. I made an order on 12⁄22 as a Christmas gift for my Uncle who is from out of town. Just got a shipping confirmation today, 12⁄28 that they have been shipped for 2 day delivery. On their site it strictly states 2 day shipping not 7 – 10 days. With the busy holiday season, I wish they had just stated that on their site so I could have made this order sooner. I only waited till the 22nd because I didn’t want it to arrive too early. Update: When I placed my order, I didn’t see a section to put a shipping address so it automated my billing address as my shipping address. Immediately after I tried to contact them twice through their website and provided them with the correct shipping address. They gave me a call within an hour which was great and confirmed they have updated the shipping address to the one I provided. The order came in yesterday… to my doorstep so now my uncle is going to be out of town for a week and with no Christmas present and the Bruffins are sitting at my house where my fiancé and I are pescatarian so we can’t eat most of the Bruffins. We did end up trying the vegetarian one. They tasted amazing but again, this review is not about the quality of their product but more about the terrible experience in placing an order with them. I tried calling the number that called me last week which seemed like a personal line and could not find a contact phone number anywhere on their site. I also tried contacting them on their website through the contact form and still haven’t heard back. Very disappointed in my experience.

This review is addressing their gift orders and shipping. I ordered the Oprah’s Deluxe Bundle for our two offices in California. I read the shipping info on the website, said shipping took 2 days. So we placed an order on Monday expecting them to arrive mid-week. They ended up arriving on Friday late in the day! So half the offices had already gone home and did not get to enjoy. That was disappointing enough but then the gift note cards(which clearly are on the order confirmation) were forgotten. One office almost threw the package out because it had no sender information!!! I sent an email to Customer Service after the deliveries mentioning these problems and got ZERO response. Very disappointing, we would not order from them again not could we recommend to someone else.

The American Bruffin — brioche flaky muffin with Buffaloe white chicken hot sauce blue cheese built in and crime brûlée pastry top notch. Didn’t have the breakfast Bruffin available at 930 am.

I came here for a quick bite to eat before hitting the Whitney. I asked the girl behind the counter how long it takes to heat up. She said one to two minutes, depending on what bruffin you order. I ordered the British. But then she lagged on putting the Bruffin in the oven and lagged in ringing it up. Service wise, it’s just lagging here. And then when I got the bruffin, well, it was that kind of greasiness that comes when you heat up a croissant in the microwave. Depressing and soggy and greasy. You could tell it was probably delicious when it was fresh out of the oven the first time but heating it this way just doesn’t do it any favors.

When I order a $ 7.00 French Onion soup and you pour me broth out of a cardboard container and then microwave it and pour that into a cup … that is not something that is decent, delicious or that I am ever doing again(and by that I mean I am never buying anything from Bruffin ever again.) Change the name to Prepackaged Onion Flavored Microwaved Broth and I would have more respect for you. To be clear: here is what French Onion Soup should be: Soup over bread and cheese baked on top. Oh… and the soup should have onions. I just payed $ 7.00 for microwaved brown water. Yuck.

I’ve been in love with The Bruffin since I had my first one at Smorgasburg a couple of years ago. People get caught up in the«hybrid» name, but that’s completely beside the point. The real point is the fresh, rich, buttery and crumbly brioche dough filled with a huge variety of sweet and savory ingredients from all over the world. I am partial to the American(Buffalo wing sauce, chicken and blue cheese) and the British(bacon and cheddar). For the sweets, I’ll have the Vanilla Apple Almond — it’s like a pie in a muffin. But really, they’re all amazing.(Try the Indian and Moroccan Bruffins too.) In season, they have the Bruffin Bowl, which is a bowl of soup with a Bruffin immersed in it. Can you imagine a bowl of French onion soup with a French Bruffin in the middle of it?(French Bruffin: gruyère and brie cheese and lardons.) The Bruffin Café also features decadent, tasty, moist baked goods, mostly oversized. You have to try the Birthday Cakey, which is like a cookie made out of cake. They also have an Ice Cream Cakey Sandwiches, two cakeys around a scoop of ice cream. See what I mean by «decadent»? My last word on the Bruffin is that I can barely finish one! They’re a good size, but they’re not huge. They are, however, extremely tasty and extremely rich and filling.(The guy who wrote about eating two of them is my spirit animal.) I recommend getting a few different flavors and sharing them with your friends. Or you can take them home and hoard them for yourself. It’s all good.

We didn’t arrive at the market until 4ish and the only Bruffins left were savories… No worries, it’s late in the day and there was another entire cabinet of goodies around the corners we liked the sound of the peanut butter pretzel treat and the Castanza. The peanut butter pretzel treat — great in theory but very crumbly and tough to eat. Our decision — crumble on ice cream! The Castanza — heaven! Two perfect Palmier with a caramel cream in between — WOW!!! We shared one of these delights amongst three is us, couldn’t even finish it(which was the saddest part of my day)

With all the hybrid pastries coming out, it’s hard to keep track. The«bruffin» is a brioche muffin. I wasn’t wow-ed with my Greek bruffin(spiced beef, feta, spinach, olives). It was $ 5 and change. It sounds expensive but I’ve paid about the same for a regular muffin in NYC. It’s a filling snack for a carb fiend like me, but if you need something of more sustenance… look elsewhere.

Got the costanza pastry after a lobster roll over at Ed’s. For $ 7, I was expecting a sweet, perhaps complex, satisfying dessert with notes of caramel. Well. It was mostly tasteless, sadly. The buttercream in the middle was mostly butter– I didn’t taste much sugar and there was no caramel taste either– there was some sugar though due to the mouthfeel of sugar granules. The cookies on top and bottom were nothing to write home about, and didn’t provide much taste either. So sadly, I’d advise others in this market to look elsewhere for dessert.

Love, Love, LOVE this place! Scoped it out from California, via Pinterest, and we were NOT disappointed. They were out of the Bruffin I wanted, the French Bruffin, so I chose the Greek Bruffin — and oh my goodness, it was yummy! My son ordered the Rainbow Bruffin, and it was«fabulous»!! And the location is to die for! Open to the outside, so much calmer than Chelsea Market… a peaceful oasis in a sea of city hustle & bustle. Had we not been pressed for time on vacation, I could have lounged there for quite a while and waited for more room in my tummy to have another Bruffin!!!

Meh. Perfect for tourists wandering in from the Highline. I had the French(lardon, brie and gruyère) and British(bacon and cheddar). They were OK. They looked tiny but are really heavy and dense. I’m not sure I would go back.

We tried the Swedish and the Spanish. Liked them both. Interesting hybrid food but I think it actually works. The rich layers of brioche with the yummy fillings. I’m not sure if they have sweet versions but if not I’d love to see those.

I was blown away by how much I enjoy Bruffins. I don’t eat sugar, so I’m leery of any bakery items, and I found the savory Bruffin is the answer for me. My favorites are British, French, Greek & Swedish. I pair a Bruffin with a salad for a healthy, delicious dinner, or by itself for a quick meal on the run. So glad I found them!

Right inside the Gansevoort Market. I got the Greek and it was a yummy addition to our meal.

I saw the preview on Fox 5 news! I’ve been wanting to stop by but didn’t get a chance, So when I did it was so worth it! The young lady behind the counter I believe her name was Amanda was very nice! & took the time to service myself & my best friend, even down to the detail of the yummy hot chocolate chip cookies that were freshly baked & right out of the oven, I ate it so fast didn’t have time to even take a picture. So with this said this place is a must! Enjoy the photos & make sure to order at least three different Bruffins, to find your Favorite one! I enjoyed The American!

I actually prefer this location over the old one, since you can grab a couple different things at the gansevoort market. I had a delicious bruffin — the Greek one! I love bruffins because I don’t have the biggest sweet tooth. I love that I can get a bunch of savory pastries here. Anyways, the Greek bruffin was tasty, it’s cheap, and it’s a fun snack if you’re in the area. Also, I’m surprised that the other reviewers think the quality has gone down. That hasn’t been my experience.

They sucked me in with that little sign that ponders, «What’s a bruffin anyway?» Fair question. The response is a meal in the form of a muffin shaped brioche. Hmm… I had to find out for myself. Went with the rainbow, the chocolate covered bacon salted caramel flavor at $ 6. The verdict: meh. Just another gimmick to capitalize on the hybrid baked good trend. Good but not special and certainly no match for either a well crafted moist, delicious muffin or a buttery, flaky brioche. Sometimes simplicity truly is the ultimate sophistication.

This is an extremely generous 3 — either this place has fallen off or people are just blinded by hype and novelty here. Typos abound — breafast, parmasan, etc — on their bruffin display(which includes chocolate chip cookies that looked good but out of place), and they also have another entire counter of non-bruffin sweets around the corner from the register(not sure diversifying this heavily is a good sign when you have an eponymous treat). The bruffin display also lacks prices for certain items, but I placed a relatively large to-go order with a voucher anyway: Swedish(eh), blueberry(not bad), breakfast(eh), British(eh), veggie(awful)($ 10.89 after voucher took $ 10 off). No taste value added over a popover, and more money gone from your pocket. The Delancey location is no longer
