I used to be a regular here. Now if I see someone in line, I groan and try to figure out if I have enough time to wait an absurd time in line. It just seems that the staff turns over so quickly they don’t have time to get in the rhythm of serving more than one person at a time. The burritos, omelets, broccoli soup, gluten free banana bread are excellent and worth the fighting the ‘confusion’. Atmosphere is very cozy and relaxing. It’s also nice that they have about four-six tables outside in the warmer months. They also offer a happy hour on bottled wine and beer until 7.

I have been here every day for the past week. All of the soups are good and the Cuban sandwich is amazing. The staff are sweet, too.

Best chicken noodle soup ever. Smoothies and juices are all worth trying. Can’t go wrong with breakfast or lunch, here. Cozy, small space with outdoor seating during the warmer seasons.

Hudson Café is my go to spot for everything! Their soups never disappoint, they have great side dishes(sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts with bacon, etc) and awesome desserts-even got my pies here for Thanksgiving dinner this year! Great place to pop in and sit alone or with friends on a cold night. Plus the service is AMAZING. They remember their regulars and truly appreciate the business. They also have a great selection of wine and the place is so cute at night with all the candles and dim lighting. Def a hidden gem in the west village :)

Used this café regularly since I arrived in NYC. Positives, always find the food excellent, especially home made cakes /biscuits, can actually make a cappuccino! Negatives, service can be a bit random and sometimes ‘lucky dip’ as to what you’ve ordered is what you’ll get… but to me that’s part of its quirky and warm charm… Moved nearer TriBeCa so won’t use as often but if passing will always pop in.

Kinda sad they don’t have Wifi Access. Came in and ordered A Caprese Pannini and it wasn’t until I sat down with my laptop open ready to have a a calm peaceful evening until I went to the top corner of my MacBook and saw that there was NOWIFI for the facility. I asked a staff member what’s the password for the locked hudson_cafe option but she said there is no wifi. Hmph. pannini was bangin’ tho.
