Went here on a tuesday night — the place was small and regal looking with the chandelier and dark wood. I came for the fondue and ordered the four cheese one which came with an assortment of hard croûton-like bread, olives, cornichons, apple slices, grapes, and raw broccoli. The fondue was tasty but I do not believe it was worth $ 28 dollars. I felt like they couldve provided more dipping options. If you come with more than two people you will need to request 2 orders at least.

Meh. Cheese plate was ok. But sangria was lacking in flavor and they filled it up with way too much ice. And they didn’t even fill up the pitcher. Small place but cute.

Absolutely terrible service and staff personality. Food and drinks were overpriced and flavorless, highly suggest going else where. The decoration is nice and different, but overall would never go back. Horrible experience service and food wise, New York has plenty of other places!

Tacky. Though I suppose that’s the point. I’d rather have the tea and wine spot that used to be in this space. Wines were average but served gracefully. This place just falls short of an experience that is trying to offer. Will need to work harder.

I’m addicted to cheese and this place feeds my addiction. The raclette was good with the soft melted cheese although I wish there were better ingredients. The French onion fondue was great too but I wish there were other veggies or meat to dip. The 50⁄50 dessert fondue was excellent. The dulce de leche was definitely my favorite over the milk chocolate one. The cake and fruits were perfect for these two. The drinks are pretty good too. The space is definitely very cramped but cozy. The old location seemed sexier, but this new one is cool too.

Eating melted cheese in a sexy boudoir is how I can best sum up this place. I was skeptical at first after having the real deal in Gruyère, Switzerland, but the classic Gruyère fondue here(they have several variations) is actually surprisingly tasty, and the cocktails are delicious as well. The BP would be a great for a date or a gno. Or when you’re in the mood for melted cheese in a boudoir.

Walked in at about 9pm, told the wait was about an hour and a half to two hours. Left my phone number, thirty mins later walked back in and was told the same waiting time. 10 – 15 mins later got a phone call saying table is ready, while we just arrived our next lounge. The place is not very big, not many tables, do not comprehend how difficult it is to manage or let your customer know a better ‘estimate’ on wait time. Ordered whole pitcher of some rose Sangria, almost bland — watered down. Some bread with cheese/crab dip, with the few pieces of bread offered we had to order extra. Was charged for the extra few pieces of pathetic bread. Service wasn’t good.

Delicious fondue! We tried the mushroom fondue and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a nice change to have a variety of items to dip, including some delicious roasted potatoes. There were also aims great looking dessert fondues on the menu; I would happily return to try something else!

Very nice place. I loved the fondue and the appetizer. The place is really small but it felt very cozy. I loved the design of the place. Also, their sangria is soooo good ! The place is a bit hidden and a little hard to find but its worth trying it out. I had a great time here.

So I know most people«enjoy» cheese, but I think that what I have with cheese is something even more deep. I feel that cheese is a part of my soul; engrained inside me and without it I would lose what makes me, me. Wow that was deep, but also accurate. So given that I love cheese, I realized that one thing I had not done in the longest time was go to a fondue restaurant. Honestly, what’s better than that? MELTED, GOOEY, YUMMY cheese, with bread, apples, and just honestly anything in the world because anything covered in melted cheese is going to be extremely neat. I guess the timing is a little difficult since it’s almost time for #summerbod2016 but honestly maybe I should just focus on #summerbod2017 at this point. I found this place a few months ago, and finally had a chance to go a few weeks ago. The venue is very small and intimate. Usually i’m into that life, but it was a little too crowded. It was also extremely hot because of this — the group next to us actually left. We were close to doing that as well, but ended up waiting it out. For food, me and #brian split the french onion fondue, a charcuterie board, and a pitcher of the girliest pink sangria you could ever imagine. #brian looked really cute drinking a pink bubbly drink, and I could tell he knew it as well. The amount of food we got was perfect. I highly recommend the french onion fondue as well. It looked like they had good desserts, but seeing as I had just inhaled cheese that probably took 3 cows to make, I was a-okay passing on it. Ambiance is definitely good for a date. I actually tried to make a big smooch move on #brian but he was not into it. Maybe next time. .. wish me luck!

Is there anything better in the world than melted cheese? Absolutely adore the fondue here. We ordered the French onion fondue(omg) and it was delicious. Came with bread, cauliflower/broccoli, fruit, and potatoes. Would come back here in a heartbeat to get more fondue. The charcuterie board was delicious as well! The only thing that wasn’t tasty was the wine. It had a very acidic taste, but it was half off on a Tuesday and it did its job. Very fond of fondue.

THISREVIEWHASNOTHINGTODOWITHSERVICEORFOOD. I walked into this placed excited to try it… and I walked into a restaurant the size of a NYC studio apartment packed with couches and tables practically on top of each other. The girl working there tried seating my boyfriend and I between two people where we may have had about 3 inches of space between the person next to us and ourselves(too close for comfort). We wound up not staying and left to find somewhere else to go. Not only is this restaurant too small… but it was a major fire hazard. I have no idea how that is not illegal to leave that little amount of space to move within the vicinity. If you don’t do well in small spaces or don’t do well sitting practically on top of people, go somewhere else.

Not a fan at all. The drinks are ok but it is mostly all strawberries and Champagne… we arrived at 5:15 pm and there was only one bartender behind the bar and she took forever to place the group in front of us. So we were stuck in the hallway when we only wanted to go to the bar. She was speaking super loud with 2 other customers friends. The place is too tacky for me. They are trying to hard with a Versailles kind of look and a red light ambiance. I think that the Marie Antoinette boudoir at the restaurant chez moi in Brooklyn heights is more romantic, quiet and more interesting than this place only time for me.

I came here one night after work with 3 of my co-workers. Originally, the reservation was for three, but when I needed to change it, no one would answer the phone, and thus we had to squeeze 4 people at a 2 – 3 person table(minus one star). Other than that, this was a pretty neat find. It’s a small place, but the décor makes it feel really cozy. My friends and I split the Mussels, Classic Gruyère Fondue, Charcuterie plate and the dolce/dark chocolate fondue. The portions were perfect for four people, and everything is very reasonably priced, not to mention delicious. If you go on a Monday or Tuesday, all bottles of wine are half price :) Would definitely recommend — just make sure you make a reservation, because there’s limited space and no waiting space if you just walk-in.

I’ve since been back, but this time to the new location. Still a big fan. This time I tried some of the fondues. The mushroom royale fondue was delicious! I arrived late and my group raved about the french onion as well, though I didn’t try it. For dessert we did the 50⁄50 so we could try two different flavors. I highly suggest doing this. It’s so indulgent, but you will not be sorry. I loved the dark chocolate best, but most of my group preferred the dulce de leche. Everything was so fantastic and I loved the selection is items they give you to dip. There is a lot of variety. I came with a small group and seating was very tight. I’m not sure if there is additional seating elsewhere, maybe downstairs, but it seems to be better suited for small parties, 2 – 3 people max. The atmosphere is sexy and romantic, just like the original location. It’s an excellent date spot. The fondue pots are not particularly big. One would be fine for two people though, but you would want to order additional items. For our group of five, two savory fondues, 1 sweet, and some bruschetta was more than enough food. Love this place! Will return again and again, especially when I want to treat myself and indulge a bit.

I’m a fan — and will definitely be back. Came here for dinner last night as the weather took a turn for the chillier side, and i was seriously craving some cheeeeeeeezes. The interior is small and cozy but quite outspoken. From the mismatched velvet chairs to the plastic chandeliers, you can grasp the meaning of the restaurant name setting the ambience. It was a one woman show last night in terms of staffing, but the all-in-one server/hostess/busser ensured that we were well taken care of and was quite charming. I highly recommend this place as a date night spot vs. large groups. A perfect place to cozy up to your significant other while dipping anything and everything in cheese. Yepp– count me in! P. S. — we opted for the champagne punch bowl(recommended for 2 – 4 people), but between the two of us we finished it all because it was delicious. Treat yourself!

Very cool digs and they offer a great wine list with champagne cocktails. I was in the mood for a dirty martini and was a little bummed that it’s just a wine bar but they offered my preference, so I decided to stay and make the most of it. The bartenders make some nice drinks but my rating is mainly for the vibe and décor. My cousin and I headed here for after dinner drinks while killing time and waiting for her hubby to get off work. Walked in, grabbed two available seats at the bar, sat back and enjoyed our reds and feeling the vibe emanating within the room. It’s a nice relaxed spot and I would definitely make another trip but not with hubbs because he doesn’t partake in vino.

Went to The Bourgeois Pig last night for my first ever dinner in New York, and it was fantastic. The décor was quirky, with low lighting, comfortable chairs and a cosy but sultry atmosphere, and the service was great. We had the Rarebit fondue(cheese and beer) which was delicious and rich, some spicy charcuterie with bread and mustard(really strong, tasty mustard — having grown up with English mustard, I appreciate something that gives you a kick up the nose, and this delivered!), and great red wine sangria. And although we didn’t take advantage of the offer, wine is 50% off on Mondays and Tuesdays. Couldn’t recommend more highly. Awesome place!
