Nice environment in Midtown. A bit pricey for what you get. The Olympic Tower lobby has live piano music a lunchtime that helps.

Actually I only registered to write this review since the other reviews about this place didn’t seem up to date. Unless the cook was ill there is no excuse for the disappointing meal we got. You should expect more for paying 20 bucks for pasta with what appeared as beef from a can with a really desastrous cheesetopping or 16 for the daily veggie meal which was basically beans with carrots. Lack of any spice with both meals. Only good thing was we had a coupon, which saved us from exceptionally great anger.

Don’t waste your money Went there with my husband for lunch. He had the chicken souvlaki and I had the tourlou tourlou(dont order it if you don’t like eggplants!) The food was mediocre and was quite expansive for the quality. The service was obnoxiously bad. And to top it all, the management forced us to pay 18% tip! They literally pulled us out of the street to come back and pay the mandatory18%. Seriously, if you want good Greek food, try Ammos or even better Avra a couple of blocks away. Don’t waste your money or time here

This is a hidden gem for weekday lunch in the midtown/Rockefeller Center area. In the lobby of the Olympic Tower this place has a nice menu with American and Greek items, professional yet unrushed service and a relaxing ambiance. I have not yet had a bad meal, so try anything you like. Visit the indoor waterfall for a relaxing finish.

When my coworker, who is Greek(as in «lived in Greece until 3 years ago») said she wanted to take me to her favorite restaurant, how could I say no? On the way there, as she casually mentions that the place is located in the Olympic Tower(home of the Greek Tourism Board and the Onassis Foundation) I realized this wasn’t going to be some faux-Mediterranean diner. When we got there, ravenous, well after 2pm, she ordered nearly one of everything on the menu for us to share. The waiter asked her«Are you sure you want all of this food?» We assured him that we did, so he moved another table closer to handle the overflow. Everything was tasty, but the pastitsio was out of this world.(It’s a daily special, rotating through various flavors each day, so be sure to ask for it.) Meat phyllo pie, chicken phyllo pie, a trio of dips, dolmades, Greek salads, even the toasted multi-grain bread drizzled with olive oil, oregano and whole black olives… mmm! All this food easily would have been enough for four people, and yet we paid just $ 50 for two tables full of food.(Plenty of leftovers to take home for dinner!) The atmosphere is pleasant, with sculptures and other artworks scattered throughout the lobby area that surrounds the café.
