So I’m in NYC for less than 36 hours and I was hell bent on getting a bagel with lox and cream cheese. Did my research to find a bagel place close to my last meeting and found this place. Didn’t have time before my meeting so dashed in on my way back to Fulton station and hurriedly ordered a mini whole wheat everything bagel with lox and cream cheese. I wanted a whole normal bagel but I also wanted a slice of pizza before getting on the train at Penn Station. For the greater good, I went with a mini bagel. Given that I was in a rush, that was basically my whole interaction with the counter guy. When the till guy said my total was $ 11-and-something, I was more than a little surprised. It was a MINI bagel! Had no time so paid without complaint and grabbed the bag they handed me and barreled down the street. Once I was on the train, I couldn’t help opening the bag and tearing open the container. I had not only my mini bagel but a side of pasta salad and a juicy looking pickle too! Sweet! I had no choice but to scarf down half that mini bagel on the train like a vagrant. Totally hit the spot. Docked one star only because of the price and difficult to comprehend price lists.

I have not gone into the store to order, but I order catering for office lunch meetings and conferences. Justin and team have always treated me right, always professional and courteous, ensuring they do the best they can for the event. I am a repeat customer due to the high level of customer service as well as the high quality of food provided/served.

Terrible service, terrible pricing and can never get an order right. Only bagel place really around and they are definitely not worth the wait or time.

I was inconveniently dumped by the A train and forced to walk Fulton Street to get to work one morning. While passing the usual breakfast nooks I spotted LI Bagel café and was kinda psyched because there aren’t many bagel places in the financial District, at least on the east side. So I slithered in to check it out. As far as the décor and ambience, it has adequate seating areas and a very long display case with many many choices of hot and cold food and toppings for your circular treat. I did find that the selection of bagels however, was a little bit limited considering the 50 foot long case with spreads, prepared foods and cold cuts they had to offer. But in the spirit of the food gods, I was going to live by the credo«sometimes it’s what you put on the food, not the food that counts». And on a positive note they have a selection of toppings and spreads for your bagel that would keep everybody in the north American continent happy. The counter help was a little slow in taking my order, but I understand, I mean there was ONE customer ahead of me LOL. When asked, I went with one of my usual staples, a salt bagel, scooped, toasted with whitefish salad, onions and tomatoes. I asked for coffee because the cups were right in front of me, so the guy picked up the cup and surprised me by handing it to me and telling me to go down to the far end of the counter and I could make it myself. Kind of stupid to make me travel 100 feet down to the other end of the counter to get a coffee. Especially when I have to walk back 100 feet to get my bagel, then travel 90 feet back again to pay for it all. So it’s a little ass backwards but I didn’t really have a problem with that because it kept me amused and entertained while they created my food product. The cashiers, look like a couple of old school counter workers and were very upbeat and entertaining. One guy had a little pep in his step and the other one was half singing, and speaking while he handled customers. That’s a positive in my opinion. Here’s where it got kind of quirky for me. Perhaps the location has something to do with it. I mean it IS the financial district right? So, when it came time to ring up my order, I watched the digital display on the cash register. I don’t know why I did this, usually I’m just staring into space but for some reason I watched. Each word, popped up individually at the press of every button. The word bagel popped up, followed by toasted, scooped, whitefish salad, etc. etc. I joked with the cashier and said that’s quite a database for just a simple bagel. I asked him if Homeland security and the FBI we’re tracking the little bastards and joked again and asked if there was GPS and my whitefish salad. We smiled and jawed a bit, but my smile turned to a grimace when I saw my total. 14.45 for a bagel with some fish and a couple of vegetables for sidekicks. Well I’m a good New Yorker so I didn’t complain, I threw my tip in the jar, gently folks I’m not an asshole. I packed up my little treat and my coffee and went to my office. I remember thinking to myself all the way there, that this is probably going to be the Oscar award winning bagel of my dreams. This bagel was going to dance out of the container with a cane and a top hat. It was probably gonna feed itself to me. Five star bagel right? Sadly, it was just your average bagel. The whitefish salad was creamy and better than most. But the tomatoes and onions were chopped and right from the same sandwich trough that they use for a hero, or wrap. For 15 tamales can’t you guys cut a nice meaty slab of tomato and onion? Those veggies were made for bagels guys!!! I mean God himself must have tried a bagel once and said«we need proportionate vegetables to accompany this masterpiece» and so Let there be tomato! Let there be onion!!! It’s probably in the scripture somewhere. Maybe after Adam screwed up with the whole Apple experiment, the big guy came back at us with Onion and Tomato. Probably why tomato is actually a fruit huh??? Hey, gotcha thinking. Anyway, if you go here, it’s ok. Be warned that they do not offer financing though so bring cash. But all things considered, it’s an average place with a higher then most price tag.

Worst delivery I’ve ever experienced! The first time I ordered rom these guys, I waited for about an hour and a half for my food. I work 3 to 4 blocks away on Fulton st. Today I waited for almost 2 hours and half. The first representative from EAT24 tells me my order has been delivered. The second time I contacted EAT24 they explained that the café didn’t even get my order in… it’s a shame because their bagels are pretty good.

Bagels are handmade and super fresh and delicious. The lox was so good! They have a huge variety of cream cheeses too. It’s just pricy. I got a bagel with lox(no cream cheese) and an apple juice and it was $ 16

I use to go to this café once, sometimes more, per week. However, I won’t be returning after a really frustrating experience. I order the same thing every time I visit, yet because it’s not an exact menu item, most employees charge me incorrectly. I correct them, and the one guy who knows how to insert my order shows them how to do it. I order a bagel with cream cheese and extra lox, but not the meal(I don’t like the side salads). The last time I went, the same two men were on staff as when I usually go, including the only employee who knows how to ring my order up correctly. The other guy takes my order, brings me the food 10 minutes later, and incorrectly charges me for a whole meal plus extra lox on the bagel — over $ 20 with an iced coffee. I tell him I just want the bagel with extra lox(and the coffee), not the meal. He goes back for another 5 to 10 minutes and returns with a bagel with cream cheese, and a side of lox in a bag — still not what I asked for, as I wanted the lox on the bagel. He adjusts my order and tells me I owe $ 21. I explain again that he is charging me incorrectly, so he gets the other guy(who usually does this correctly) to ring me up — I am told I owe $ 27??? He argues with me and tells me this is the correct price, and that I get half off because it’s after 3pm. I order this same damn bagel every time I come here, it’s normally $ 11.49, plus a $ 3.50 for a coffee… doesn’t add up to over $ 27. At this point, I’ve argued the ticket with both employees on staff, I’m annoyed, so I just pay. He said I can check the items and their prices on the receipt when he handed it to me. So, I sit down and check the receipt. Low and behold, guy never removed the meal off my ticket. According to the ticket, I paid for a bagel/cream cheese/lox meal that comes with a salad, a side of .17 lbs of lox, and an iced coffee. I received an untoasted bagel with cream cheese, the coffee, and the side of .17 lox. It’s not like they gave me an additional lox bagel meal! I went back and explained this to the employee who always seems more competant. He takes my receipt, annoyed, and adjusts my ticket to remove the extra bagel with cream cheese, rather than removing the meal. He hands me the receipt back and says it’s the correct amount and leaves the register so I can’t argue him. The amount was STILL wrong, I NEVER got a meal, and he knew the amount was less but he DIDN’T BOTHERTOREFUNDME. Essentially, this business stole from me. There is no justification for this unless either the employees were intentionally inflating prices to negate the half off sale, or they are incompetant — either way, it’s theft. I wrote the owner a complaint on Facebook and will post it on their page or as a review of their page if I don’t get a response. It may not have been a lot of money, but YOUDON’T TREATCUSTOMERSTHISWAY — especially when it’s my money I’m paying with, you waste 30 minutes of my time, and you can’t get my ticket correct after 4 attempts.

So my experience here was a dub! Went in ordered egg, cheddar cheese, salt & pepper on an egg roll. Gave my name & paid Simple right? Yep that’s what I thought too. I make my way to the front pick up area, browsing the fresh juices and fruit along the way. My name is called… Sweet! I’m starving. Go sit down open up foil«wait…what the hell, I didn’t order this!» Uggghh back to counter. Explain the situation as a lady is over hearing and determines I was given her food. Now I wait again for my sandwich to be made. My name is called… Sweet! I’m still starving. Go sit down open foil take an enormous bite. «Ewwww is this AMERICANCHEESE… gag. Ugghhh back to counter. Explain the situation, this second guy is super apologetic and now I wait again for my sandwhich to be made. My name is called… Sweet! I’m ravenous now. Go sit down open foil and was greeted by runny egg whites, a cold slab of cheddar cheese no salt or pepper. Brruuuuuhhhhhh I’m too hungry for the counter again so I take a bite thinking I could push through it… nope, back to the counter to just grab salt, pepper and ketchup. I lace one half with condiment after condiment and take a bite… nope this is awful. Back to the counter for a refund. The only saving grace is after all that as I was leaving I checked in and saw there’s an offer for 10% off an order and I’m a sucker for a deal do I will be back for just a bagel with butter. There is no way that can be screwed up… right??? To be continued

This bagel shop has an extensive menu and a lot of seating actually. It offers plenty of salads, sandwiches, knishes(even a loaded knish!), fruit juices, smoothies, and of course ample bagels and spreads. Ordering was quick and easy. The man taking the orders moved very fast! But you do have to wait for your order of course, but they call out your name. I got a toasted egg bagel with olive spread and my fiancé got the everything bagel with lite scallion spread. Be sure to check the full menu up above as there’s actually lots of options; they’re just not all on display. My bagel was good. It was light and chewy. The olive spread was a tad salty, but I actually never had an olive cream cream before, so I was down to try it. The scallion spread was nice, but I don’t care the the everything bagel; it’s just too much — too much everything — too much aggressive flavors combating for my attention from my taste buds. I’d say the only qualm is that is a bit pricey for a bagel. Heads up, you do get 10% off with Unilocal check-in, but I only checked in after we already paid. Doh!

Take this 5 star with a grain of salt. 1) This is only for the bagel itself(why would you go to a place with Bagel in the name and order anything else…). It is also relative to the bagels in the area. I’m not commenting on delivery, or other options or coffee. The bagel was very tasty, and it was finished before I knew I had eaten a quarter of it(and not because the bagel was small, it was actually pretty big). There’s also not that many bagel places in the area with as good as selection. Props that it’s made fresh too(there’s a window where you can gawk at the poor baker). I would come here and get a bakers dozen and bring it home and toss some in the freezer(yeah yeah that’s a travesty but what am I going to do with 13 bagels in a week). Buy your own cream cheese at the store, or some other store as the special cream cheese was hella expensive here.

I was actually super surprised when I walked into this place today. They have everything. It reminded me of long beach when I walked into a similar location(next to the beach). The bagels were made in the store right by the ordering area. It had a friendly vibe when walking in, the guy who took my order was pleasant and polite. I also wanted to know how much something was and he took my order and told me, which I ended up sticking to «trying something new». I loved the eggs and they were cooked to perfection. They have«make your own» salads, tuna & chicken salad, egg sandwiches, many options for smoothies and drinks. Freshly squeezed OJ, HUGE here. it’s a really big location with seating and great for groups. Overall I was a happy customer and I will be back. I can’t wait to try ALL the flavors of cream cheese. They accommodated all varieties of cravings. I really want to try the strawberries, blueberry, and many more tasty flavors.

I used to always come in here for breakfast when I lived across the street. It’s really a great little breakfast spot. I would usually get bacon and eggs on a bagel, but they also have some yummy cream cheeses. The people working there are always very nice. They have messed up my order a few times(gets lost or I get something I didn’t order), but sometimes that just happens every once in a while and I went there a lot. I will always find myself coming back. A good place for near by residents or if you need something quick to eat, but if you’re visiting New York try to find something a little more special.

1) Amazingly pillowy, non-hard, supple, other synonyms for soft(flaccid? No…) yum bagel 2) Outlets to plug in your various devices 3) Two relatively clean bathrooms. And they lock(I’m talking to you, person I walked in on). 4) Did I mention the bagel? Egg Everything Bagel – why is this not a thing everywhere?! It is so choice. Don’t get schmear; that’s like putting A1 on a really epic steak.

Walking down the streets of New York you’ll see interesting sights, but I guess I was so highly amused by the person in the bagel suit dancing outside of Long Island Bagel Café that I suggested we stop in! I ordered the Everything bagel with plain cream cheese and my date got the Lox bagel. I was questioning myself as to why I didn’t try their veggie cream cheese as it’s my favorite, but regardless, I enjoyed the plain as well. The bagel was served pipping hot and I really liked the ambiance of the little café. If you’re in the neighborhood & see the dancing bagel, stop in!

Ordered a honey and mustard chicken on a sesame seed bagel, and a macaroni salad combo. I think they mixed my choice of bagel to a salt bagel, because it was so salty I couldn’t even eat the bread, and just ate out the filling with a fork, which was ok. The macaroni«salad» was actually pretty good but I was done in literally 3 bites. The pickle that comes in the box was the most disgusting pickle Ive ever had. It was more like a small, slightly salty cucumber. I am sure there are better options than this nearby.

Yes a one star. The bagels itself are good yes. This is a double review that was long due. The first time I went here, I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel. When I got home, I had a plain bagel with cream cheese. I DESPISE cream cheese. The next time I went I figured it was a simple mistake. So I came again and ordered the same thing with a strawberry banana blast smoothie. I got some sort of triple beery smoothie instead. I mean how hard is it to take a breakfast order? Certainly not returning. I’ll go to 7 – 11 or McDonald’s down the street next time

Long Island comes to Manhattan for bagels. Bagels galore! Bagels are fresh as I wished I had more time to sift through their wide menu selection. I elected one onion bagel $ 2.45 with butter and(by choice due to lack of time I skipped the toasting which I wished it were toasted). I added one small orange juice $ 1.00 which totals $ 3.45(with tax). Staff is very attentive, professional, friendly and efficient to move the line. Orders are taken by name and patrons move to pickup their beverage at one counter and their food order at another counter. Space is abundant to accommodate reasonable large groups. Location is very convenient adjacent from Fulton Street station. Unilocal mobile check-in offer is available.

Big selection here. Got the whole wheat everything bagel with their low fat chicken salad and tomatoes. Decent bagel but the salad was a bit salty for me. Might be back and try something else here with so many options.

Delicious. I had a garlic bagel with cream cheese. Very good! Employees were friendly and even gave me one of their mini plain bagels on the house. The space is large enough for a group of people to be able to sit down together. Location is perfect: almost right across the street from Fulton Station.

Ok I ordered deliver from here. I live 2 streets away and it took an hour and a half. Two of the 4 bagels were burnt to a point where it was inedible. They also did not give us any drinks we ordered but did send us someone else’s food order. Then the icing on the cake is when they wouldn’t refund us for the drinks we didn’t get and wouldn’t resend the correct bagels. Truly the most ridiculous and inconsiderate delivery on have ever experienced in my life.
