I have to say that I love this place but I ordered recently and waited the estimated time for the order to arrive and nothing… I obviously became a bit anxious and hungry so I give them a call and asked what was going to my order the guy who answered realize at this point that I have waited and 1 hr and a half I decide not to complain because he said it should arrive shortly finally after 3hr I called and again a different person picked up and said I’m sorry for the delay but you the because of the snow the delivery guy is walking … Holy I felt bad so I said fine I’ll wait some more because at this point I already wanted to cancel my order … When he finally arrives he is wearing a helmet he lied the food was cold … I asked the guy if he came walking he giggled and said NO

rating based on delivery service; Right before placing my order the estimated delivery was 20 – 30 minutes. Once confirming my order, it then became and hour and a half wait. Called 10 minutes after the«new delivery» time and the manager said they never got the order even thought I received email confirmation right after placing my order. Its now been over 2 hours and 34 minutes and waiting for a phone call back from this place to see what the so called problem is. I’ll report back tomorrow… if the food arrives by then…

I’d say a step below Boston Market. Still very delicious, similar side dishes/entrees, but not quite as good. The food comes out fast, so it’s a great place to grab a quick lunch.

Decent food but poor hygiene — they put saran wrapped corn bread in the same container as piping hot chicken such that the chicken ends up tasting like saran wrap. I’ve complained about this, but they continue to do it. Surely there must be at least one health violation here?

I am trying to add a few new eateries to the mix for my busy season catering AKA dining series and have asked some of my favorite people at the office to give me some suggestions. As such, I ordered from Texas Rotisserie last week. I was thrilled that they were on Seamless Catering, and had a feeling the grilled chicken, barbecued beef, cornbread, and a manifold of sides that I ordered would be a hit. I received nothing but rave reviews especially about the succulent meats, cornbread, Caesar salad, creamed spinach, and green beans from everyone from the low-carb dieters to the gourmandes. Why am I not giving Texas Rotisserie a five star review? The food came a bit late. Regardless, I will order from them again soon!

I ordered the Caesar salad and buffalo wings appetizer on grub hub. It said it came with ranch dressing I got two Caesar dressings one blue cheese and some sweet vinegar dressing or something. And the buffalo wings had no spice to them at all and they were more like plain chicken fingers. Maybe they forgot to put the buffalo sauce on them? The celery and carrots that came with it were ok but the carrots were kind of old. The salad was good but it’s not hard to make a Caesar salad. I haven’t had anything else from this place so I can’t comment on the main dishes only what I ordered. I’m slightly disappointed.

For the past 6 years I have order from Texas rotisserie at least 2 times a month up until 8 months ago; that’s around the time the store in the upper west side 97th and Broadway changed owners and managers. I had placed an order for my family and some guests after several phone calls asking where is the food, the food arrived an hour after my guest had already left.(It took 2 hour and 34 minutes) I called the manager and complained all he said is «sorry, nothing I can do too busy». The second time it happened was about 6 – 7 months ago when my son had his friends over and we order a large order of wings and it took 1 hour and 45 minutes to get here. I explained to the new manager that it had happened less than 2 months ago and I tried to remind him that I had spoken with him and complained and that the poor manner my complain was managed had deterred me from ordering again, He told that he could not possibly remember me because I am not the only client who complains, at this poin all I am thinking is are you kidding me!!! I guess I am an optimist or an idiot because my son convinced me to order dinner from there today. I ordered at 8:05, my food just arrived 9:51pm after 2 phone calls; the manager just as you can guess just said: ok, sorry, food almost there” I told him I wasn’t happy with the service and that it had happened yet again, he said: I can get your food there now, you want it or not? I’m in disbelieve!(I took pictures of the times and phone calls) I have made this review is for the owner TEXASROTISSERIEOWNER: HIRE A NEWMANAGERIFYOUDONTWANTYOURRESTAURANTTOGOOUTOFBUSINESS. This is the UWS where there is a plethora of choices and cuisines at competitive prices to chose from that give great service and are more than happy to keep their clients; if your customers are not happy, they will go somewhere else and what is worse for you(Texas Rotisserie owner) they will tell all of their friends and neighbors how bad the service is and how poor management handles complains. You will lose those clients(friends and neighbors) too. One of the reasons why it took me so many experiences so write a review is because I have worked in the service industry for 13 years and I know there are days where things get out control but this has continued to happen consistently time after time and as a person that has been as a server, shift leader, front of the house manager, realtor, and for several years I was a CUSTOMERSERVICESUPERVISOR this should give you an idea that I know what I am talking about. A business with Unhappy or unsatisfied customers doesn’t last!

This place isn’t worthy of any stars. Ordered from seamless at 9:58pm and at 11:20 I get a call from the delivery guy that he won’t come up(I have an elevator) because it’s too late. I call the restaurant to tell them what’s happening and they have him come up. My boyfriend answers the door and the guy is going on about how this order was placed to late. Trying to explain that the order went in to seamless and they were open. He was still arguing his point. I am so mad from the attitude over the phone that when I go to the door and tell him to leave. I call the restaurant to complain and the tell me that I «Must not understand middle eastern men». I will never order from here again. We used order from there once a week. I hope the owner is happy to loose a loyal customer. The one star is bc the brosted chicken is decent.

the ribs were not bad, so did some of the sides, like mashed potato and beans ordered dark meat chicken, they gave me white meat, was dry and lack of taste. For $ 17, the 3 little sad looking crab cakes did not taste like crab at all! I thought it was some kinda fish cake, because it tasted fishy and smelled like fish, the breading was terrible and«crab/fish» was dry and boring, not favor and texture, and they looked very disgusting! This is the item that they should take it off the menu! If you can’t make it taste good or look good, get rid of it! cornbread was not good either. such a sad place, you can tell from the food, that the owner and the cooks don’t even care

Texas Rotisserie has a good location right off the red line. The ambiance doesn’t do much, but it’s kept clean. I mainly have gotten delivery from here while at work, but their delivery range is quite wide. The BBQ is decent and the sides are OK. Nothing here has actually wow’d me or made me crave their food, however, there are only two BBQ places that deliver to my work so when BBQ is what we’re ordering, and one of the two locations is closed, then the other one automatically gets our business by default. If you just are craving some decent ribs and mac and cheese, then Texas will fulfill that craving — no fuss.

I just picked up my order of buffalo wings which we always get and asked for extra sauce because we know they will come like this… Fried with absolutely no sauce. And to top it off, they gave us sour cream instead of blue cheese! Never again!

I’ve ordered here a few times the bbq chicken and pulled pork are solid and they also have good Coen bread. Sadly the Mac and cheese is for the birds and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Pasta and cheese wiz would be better.

Although the wait was a bit long, the food was totally worth it!!! I had the bbq beef platter. It comes with 2 sides and a cornbread, I got Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes. The food was really great and the staff was efficient and nice. I can’t wait to come back.

Edible but NOT bbq by any stretch of the imagination… Brisket sandwich… No hint of BBQ or smoke… more like pot roast… steamed !!! But it was very tender so OK to eat… BBQ sauce helped it out a bit… Like I said… edible. Don’t expect more.

This BBQ fast food joint is not bad if you stick to the basics chicken and/or ribs. My love for seafood had me order a combo of breaded non-seafood mess while my grandfather enjoyed his rice & ribs. The sides need work; the whipped sweet potato was not sweet or tasty and, the broccoli was bland no seasoning at all. I switched my order for something different(lunch ribs) but, if you don’t ask for your change first you may get duped… The manager«exchanged» my meal for something closer to the price of my original meal I ordered. I was pissed off about my $ 10. I doubt I’ll be frequenting this restaurant, even if I go «cheap» it’ll be a traditional restaurant.

As somebody from Texas, who has had a lot of BBQ, it’s safe for me to say that this place is good! I recommend trying the fried okra for sure! It’s nice to come here and get a small taste of home every once in a while! It def makes me smile that the place is named after Texas too!

I stopped in lured by the promise of lunch special. For 8.95 you get a burger /wrap /burrito /sampling of baby back ribs and a side, plus drink. Not too shabby. I got the«Veggie Burger Burrito», and while it was sufficiently tasty, it lacked any certain«oomf». This place is basically a McDonalds of BBQ, which I was unaware of at first. They serve you a number and a tray complete with prewrapped fork/knife, a few napkins and a straw. You shuffle to the cheesy tables for two with your plastic tray and await your meal. While it was«okay», I certainly will not be revisiting this establishment. In a pinch it may serve if you are in a hurry and happen to be right on their doorstep.

Place is a little less than okay. I ordered the 3 piece meal. The fried chicken is called«brotisserie» but tasted like dried fried chicken siting under a heat lamp for too long. I was excited for some Texas bbq but the chicken nor the sides are memorable. The potatoes as well as the mac and cheese taste about the same as you would find in any regular take out establishments.
