I write this as I eat my hard and dry grilled chicken sandwich. Today I was craving a gourmet sandwich, or a decently good sandwich that is not Blimpie. I opted not to go to Blimpie and instead go to Green Café and get a grilled chicken with mozzarella sandwich. When I opted this for I was thinking of places such as Gigi and even the Green café on the east side(I believe they are not affiliates even though they have the same name) places that have good sandwiches. So I went and ordered, and got a sandwich which I am battling to eat since it’s so hard. Also the chicken is very dry. I wish I had read the reviews before ordering, also For this I should’ve gone to Blimpie’s!

I cant believe most of the bad reviews becuase this place is amazing for in and out breakfast, lunch and dinner. This place is too small to sit but i see it as more of getting your food and off to work or home. I must say ever since green café came to the UWS ive never been let down. Food is good, small portion and very reasonible.

Id give it zero stars if I could. They messed up my order and when I called to ask then to bring me what I did order they just didn’t get it. Im still currently waiting for it to arrive although I’m not sure why. It’s obviously going to be wrong anyway. Aggravating. And RUDE Second«correction» order arrived. WRONG again! When I called to tell them they acted like it was my fault! Said they would send my money back but never came back. This place is the worst delivery EVER

Be aware, the food here is not fresh. I tried a lemon panini and it tasted like soured. I had a mushroom barley soup and it was tasteless. I guess they do what they can to save cost: even skip flavoring the food. They didn’t even know what crackers were. Should have checked the reviews before coming here. One star is even too many

Honestly… I can’t believe restaurants behave the way they do when there is such thing as Unilocal. So 3 hours ago i decide I’m hungry… All i wanted was soup and a bagel with cream cheese and salmon… Nothing to crazy. I specifically wrote in the order that i did NOT want anything else on it just cream cheese and salmon on a plain bagel. An hour goes by i get a phone call telling me the soup i ordered is not in stock… OK fine. I took this as a chance to make sure the bagel i ordered would still be correct. So now an hour and half goes by and i get a phone call from the delivery man, telling me he is here and I can come down and get my food… O___O I couldn’t help but respond with«no… i’m sorry you can come up i’m apartment 4A, I didn’t order delivery to go up and down 5 flights of stairs… thats honestly the ONLY reason I DID order food. I LIVEON A 5THFLOORWALKUP If i wanted to go downstairs i’d go down and get whatever food i wanted… and I wouldn’t order more food then what I want just to get the delivery minimum. So now i’m irritated… why are you calling me? So he brings it and goes to my neighbor… So whatever. i open it its wrong… i call and tell them what I ordered«ok ok ok» wait another hour and its STILLWRONG. AREYOUKIDDINGME?! like its not that serious of an order. They refunded me. NOW i have no food 3 hours later. I ate some kettle chips and called it a day. i will NEVER eat anything from here ever in my life.

I just had the most unfresh turkey avocado panini in my life. So gross! Everything was sticking together. Avocado tasted so bad and already turned black! I just wanna throw up. I usually like this place but I guess i will never buy from them again on a Sunday!!! The food was probably made on Friday!

Good food but HORRIBLEDELIVERYSERVICE. Things are missing from orders(brown sugar on the side, coffee in your milk, etc.) AND their deliverymen consistently get lost. Same guy who has come to my apartment which is only three blocks away got lost this morning. SMH. If you want better delivery and service on the UWS, order from Europan 94 or Corner Café.

I ordered a chicken noodle soup for lunch, and it was sort of bland and heavy on the cilantro. Since when is cilantro a staple for chicken noodle soup? I don’t mind it, but for all you cilantro haters, avoid the soup. The noodles are really thick, so I’m not really sure what kind of «noodle» it was supposed to be. It comes with a complimentary roll, pre-wrapped, which I’m guessing is the equivalent to what people eat in jail(not kidding). It’s labeled as rye bred, dinner roll, white bread or wheat bread so guess which one you have and chomp away! I work around here but would probably not come back for the food. Bummer.

This place is around the corner from where I work. Like another reviewer said, it is actually by 97th Street. The staff was really nice, place was clean and seemed like it had a lot of healthy options. My favorite thing to do is to get a nice French Vanilla Coffee with Soy Milk. Yum. It’s really convenient to stop by and there is hardly ever a wait. It’s the perfect place to grab something on the go and actually have it be healthy and satisfying.

They took an hour and change to go around the block literally. They couldn’t find the building which is one of the biggest in the areas and I was very specific with the address and cross streets. They proceeded to use my caller ID as an excuse since it was a different building. They were yelling with each other on the phone instead of putting me on hold and this was NOT the first time they did this with us. And the wrap SUCKED because they didn’t get the order right either. Terrible service, bad food and no customer service.

Delivery took an hour and twenty minutes for two pre-made panini’s and a bland split pea soup.

Came into this place looking for a cheap sandwich and I wasn’t let down. The panini I had tasted buttery and crisp, but not greasy. Their salads look fresh, too. $ 6.50 for a well made panini is perfectly acceptable to me. It doesn’t hurt that if seems clean and freshly. stocked. Will def try this place for soups come fall/winter.

The location is actually closer to 97th Str. Cozy little 8 seater place. It’s a run of the mill deli but really the items are pretty weak. Ordered a breakfast burrito and just left feeling anemic about the food. Lacked flavor, potatoes were grainy, and the food takes forever. My wife ordered egg sandwich and again, it’s what we ordered but it just feels like the food had no effort in it. Just get some substandard roll, and slap an egg in it. done. Never again.

For a quick dinner or maybe a nice refreshing lunch, this is your place! It’s good priced tasty food and the staff is always nice and remembers regulars. I don’t know why, but I always find it a soothing ritual to get a nice chicken ceasar salad wrap and a pack of sea salt chips

I don’t normally make it up this high, but I happened to be in the area and famished enough that I couldn’t make it home without sustenance. Enter Green Café, literally, and I’m glad I did. I had a grilled chicken sandwich with sun-dried tomatoes and freshly made mozzarella on a gourmet focaccia bread. Simple Italian goodness.

UNLIMITEDTOPPINGSATTHETOSSEDSALADBAR… and the total cost is only $ 6.95. I think. I can’t stand having to choose between carrots and chickpeas(without paying $.50 for«going over») so under normal circumstances, that would automatically send my review soaring to a 5-star recommendation(I mean for the generic, charmless deli category). But: 1) although the toppings are unlimited, the variety of toppings you may pick from is in fact very limited. 2) I didn’t see any problem with the spicy chicken, but three of my guy friends deemed the unspicy grilled chicken«completely inedible.» Service is fine, and the place is really clean and colorful. Probably not worth walking a few blocks out of your way for it, but if you’re eating lunch while in the area give Green Café a shot. Avoid the grilled chicken.
