SIMPLY THE BEST CLEANERS IN NYC! The cleaning is superb! The tailoring is excellent! The service is amazing!
Over the years I have tried many cleaners and have often been disappointed. Then I tried Sutton Cleaners and will never go anywhere else! Finally a dry cleaners who do great work, don’t overcharge, and do not lose your stuff (the plant is on premises, so they clean and press everything right there and then deliver it to you!)
When I bring them my clothes and linens I tell them exactly what I want done and they listen and actually do it! My dresses, pants and silk shirts look amazing, my husbands shirts and suits are superb, and my linens are crisp and beautiful! I am so grateful to have them as my cleaners! I highly recommend them!

These are the most professional guys in the neighborhood and I have been a customer since the 80s. Whenever I have a special request, I can count on them to do it right, as opposed to most other dry cleaners who have a poor command of the English language and/​or do not want to bother — maybe because they send out a lot of their dry cleaning to contractors who probably wouldn’t understand my request. For example, I once took some chinos to another place and asked that they be pressed without a crease; they came back with a crease on the sides! ;(
The owners John and Bernie have a knowledge of fabrics and textiles that most dry cleaners do not. This counts for a lot when I bring in an expensive garment and want it treated properly.
Also, Nelson the tailor is highly skilled and is a perfectionist like me; that’s what I want when the fit has to be just right.

I happened to be walking by just as a button fell off my overpriced blazer so I walked in with button in hand. I didn’t have to say anything, the gentleman tailor in the front just took my jacket and stated sewing. The result was better than it was originally and both he and the manger refused to let me pay. If this is any indication of the integrity of the business, I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Just moved into the city and took my laundry here for a wash and fold. I get it back and the next night there was a bed-​bug crawling out of my dresser. Regardless if the service was quick and the employees were over-​friendly, bed bugs in my laundry is absolutely disgusting. I haven’t taken my laundry anywhere else so I know the bed-​bug was from this place. I threw out everything…

Went here after reading a great Unilocal review on it. Dropped my dry cleaning off at 11:00am on a Friday. Asked for same-​day service. I was told I could get my clothes back by 6:30pm that same night. I confirmed that they closed at 6:30pm and the guy said «yes».
Later that day, rushed to the cleaners and got there for 6:21pm. They were closed– gate down, lights out, closed. It was a fashion emergency! The sign outside the door said they closed at 6:30pm. I failed to get my clothes for that night.
Went back Saturday morning to get my clothes. Spoke with the same guy that I dropped them off with. Told him I came at 6:21 and the store was closed. I asked to speak with the manager and he told me he was the manager. He said he was there until 6:40pm. I told him no one was there at 6:21– I knocked and everything. The guy denied closing early. I didn’t appreciate being lied too– I think I would have given Sutton Cleaners a chance if the guy had just admitted that he ducked out early on a Friday night. Oh well. I’m taking my clothes elsewhere now!
