Solid 3 stars. Good food, service, and prices especially during happy hours are good.

This is a average sushi bar. First I got my miso soup which was average except it had stringed tofu so it made it a little more artsy. Then I got edanmamae. There was not much salt on it. For my main meal I got a salmon roll. There was not much salmon in it. Overall 3.5 stars. We had a young child and the waiter politely asked us to be more quiet and moved on. The staff was very friendly

Great, cheap takeout if you’re not looking for a five star meal with wine pairings! The delivery speed is unreal. My roommate ordered dinner, and before I knew it the delivery man was at our door in 15 minutes! Miso soup was very good and the chicken fried rice was decent. The rice and vegetables were good but chicken tasted a bit bland. Overall, I’d recommend for a quick and cheap bite to eat. I valued the fact that they came so quickly at 6 pm on a Friday night.

Really wish I could give this place zero stars. I ordered from them on GrubHub and was told the order would take about 45 minutes. The order took an hour and a half, and was delivered wrong. GrubHub offered a refund, but I was told that the woman on the phone was unnecessarily rude to the woman at GrubHub, and she was no kinder to me, either. I sucked it up after reading reviews while waiting for my order and decided that I was not going to call Sushi Hana back and demand they right my order, since I did get the refund. Fine. THESUSHIWASTHEWORDSMOSTVILESUBSTANCE I HAVEEVERCOMEACROSS. Seriously. The nori tasted like it was from a century ago, the rice was essentially non-existent, and the fish… ok like the fish was so bad. I ended up heading to the deli next door and eating a sandwich. All in all, this place is a nightmare. I don’t know how the aggregate rating is 3 stars.

DONOTORDERFROMHERE. THEYDON’T CAREATALLABOUTTHEIRCUSTOMERS! TRASHCUSTOMERSERVICE! I have been ordering from them since Sushi Hana first opened. Ever since they changed to Amaze, they have treated me like dirt. I always order the Tonkatsu dish, and they forgot the tonkatsu sauce not once, not twice, but THREETIMES. The first two times, I let it slide. On the third order that I just got today, I specifically wrote in the notes, «PLEASEDON’T FORGETTHEKATSUSAUCEAGAIN!» When the order arrived, they gave me 4 soy sauces and 0 katsu sauce. THISISTHEWORSTPART. I called them back to complain and asked for a refund, and they bounced me around to talk to various people. Finally, they gave me a number to call their«General Manager» who is completely incompetent herself. I told her about the problem, and she said, «WECAN’T GIVEYOU A REFUNDFORTHEFOOD, BUTWEWILLREFUNDYOUFORTHESAUCE.» SHESAIDSHEWOULDREFUNDMEFORTHECOSTOFTHEFREESAUCE. I asked her for any other compensation, as this was the 3rd time this happened, and she said there was nothing she could do about it. TRASHCUSTOMERSERVICE. TRASHCUSTOMERSERVICE. TRASHCUSTOMERSERVICE!

Really gross delivery. Lettuce wraps consisted of limp lettuce and the filling was frozen peas, carrots and shrimp. Sushi was not fresh. Gross.

Ok, the food usually isn’t bad here, but I just could not let this one go. Rainy night, totally exhausted, so ordered a ton of sushi and entrees, over $ 60. I thought it was bad enough to have to repeat myself 3 times to get my order correct, and I had them read it back to me. However, when the food arrived, it was totally wrong. I mean come on, I said it 3 times, and had them repeat it back — how is that possible? Ok, for $ 20 bucks I probably would have let it slide, but for $ 60 bucks, come on… it’s NOT what I ordered, and I even had them repeat it back. So ok, my wife insisted I tell them at least. So I called and got some complete idiot woman on the phone who kept reading me back the wrong order. Hello! How can a person be more clear? Repeat yourselfs 3 times, and have them read it back to you, right? But she claimed it was me who made the mistake. Hey, I am not perfect, but in this particular instance, there is simply fact and fiction, and FACT, I ordered sushi not sashimi. Rather than apologize and offer to correct it, she would not accept that they made a mistake, BUTTHEYDIDMAKE A MISTAKE, and hey, isn’t the customer always right. This went on and on, until finally she gave the phone to some creepy English challenged effeminate guy named Lou. I explained very clearly what happened to Lou, and then Lou had the nerve to try to ask if I had said any obscenities to the moron who answered the phone, which i replied no, of course not, which was true(although in retrospect she certainly would have deserved it). Net-net, when you make a mistake, a $ 60 mistake, just apologize and fix it, and next time I will order again happily. Instead, take customers money and give them something they did not order and get a 1 star on Unilocal. I mean PUHLEEEZE pull your head out of your ass, PLEASE for the love of God man! Worst of all, sashimi was fishy, the entrees were stale, and I was left hungry and $ 60 poorer. My advice? Gari Columbus is better quality and not really more expensive.

I ordered a Spicy Salmon, Tuna and Yellowtail roll. The order arrived, and was clearly all Spicy Salmon. When I called to ask for a refund for the difference of the order I was charged for but did not receive, they told me everything should look the same, and if there was a mistake, I could send everything back to prove I was delivered the wrong order. Needless to say, it was not worth the time to send the food back. I kept the order I received, but was wrongly charged. Needless to say, I will not be ordering from this restaurant again.

I ordered a sushi roll from Sushi Hana this evening. Despite the restaurant having information about my food allergy, the ingredient(which was not listed on the menu item) was still included in my order. I called to inquire about the mishap and the gentleman was EXTREMELY rude, unapologetic, and condescending. He claimed to have called twice despite the fact that I did not receive a missed call. I did receive a 4 second voicemail with the sounds of them hanging up. No verbal message was left. There are many sushi restaurants in NYC and after reading the plethora of negative reviews both on Unilocal and Seamless, it’s surprising they are still open. The order mistake is understandable. Being spoken to in a rude and unprofessional manner is unacceptable. It’s safe to say that after the way I was spoken to I will NEVER order from them again.

I ordered from here once and it will also be my last… The food took over an hour to come and was missing items. When I called them they told me they would have everything delivered in 15 — 40 minutes past until they arrived. Food did not look fresh and the hostess was very rude

DONOTORDERFORDELIVERY. they said 15 – 30 minutes and it took an hour and a half. when I called the restaurant several times no one answered. once sushi arrived, it was extremely mediocre. also can’t help feeling wary after sushi was carted around on a bicycle for who knows how long.

DONOTORDERFROMTHEM. There was plastic wrap in one of our rolls. When we called to complain they were not very apologetic and only offered to take that particular roll off our order. We will never be ordering from them again. I wouldn’t be surprised if they fail their next health inspection.

Terrible, poor quality… slabs of grounded sushi. Will never order from here. The rock shrimp was tasteless with just tempura and a watery sauce. We ordered three rolls and not one had any taste nor did it look appetizing.

DONOTORDERFROMTHEM. I’ve ordered from them before and it was not the greatest, but they USUALLY were quick. I decided I wanted Salmon Teryaki and was told it would take 30 min at most to arrive. OVERANHOURLATER my food shows up. MISSING the rice that comes with it, so I call and tell them my rice is missing and the girl on the phone was VERY rude and told me I’d have to wait another 20 min to get my rice. I said forget it. I go to eat my salmon and it’s COLD and so over cooked you can’t even eat it. by this point it’s 10pm and I want to go to bed so I call asking for a refund and in order to get one I have to wait 30 more min for the delivery guy to show up to take my food back. The girl on the phone was insanely rude and was lying saying the manager wasn’t around and had serious attitude. Even the nice woman on the Grubhub team who tried helping me said the girl was rude to her also! I will NEVER order from them again, and plan on having everyone I know give them bad reviews so no one else has to go through the hassle that I’ve gone through!

What happened? This place used to be great. Not anymore! The seaweed salad and vegetable gyoza were ok — pretty standard stuff. The Thai lettuce wraps would’ve been good except for the shrimp being full of doodie — had to throw half of them out. Gross. The spicy tuna was flavorless. The shrimp tempura was nasty and greasy. The only reason I’m not giving one star is because we ordered at 11pm. I’m hoping the food during the day is better. Still, I’m pretty sure no one likes ordering $ 70 worth of sushi and having to throw half of it out.

I’ve eaten here before(and liked it very much) but I have to say that the food has gone a bit downhill since my last visit. My sushi rolls were clumsily made and were literally falling apart at the seams. This was a major bummer. As a sushi place, you have one major criterion in creating sushi rolls; rolling them. If you can’t nail that, then what’s that say about your restaurant? Also, the yellowfin tuna and jalepeno was simply gross. The fish was almost a purée rather than a quality piece or two. It was so bad in fact that I threw 4 of the 6 pieces away. The black pepper tuna was tasty enough but again it was rather poorly assembled. Won’t be ordering from here again.

While bar hopping in the area we walked by this place on the way to the next bar. We were just going to get drinks, but decided we could use a bite as well. The place was pretty empty except for one other party of 7+ there. We were quickly greeted and seated by an employee. We got a really roomy corner table with a booth type of seating. We ordered our drinks, he got a cherry soda and me a lychee drink. His tasted really bad, halfway through it he said he tasted like gasoline — yuck! Mine, however, was fantastic! It tasted just like lychee, and even had a fresh one on top — delish! We ordered our food and with our entrees we got either a soup or a salad, and we ordered one of each. The salad was just ok, I wasn’t very fond of the greens that were used, but the soup tasted pretty good … and the edamame was just like any other Japanese place. Not too long after our entrees came and they were very tasty. He had a chicken katsu don which looked great and came with very nice presentation — he said it tasted great as well, and the portion was huge. I got the unagi don and that also had great presentation and the taste matched. The sushi roll we ordered tasted very fresh, and once again the presentation was cute. This place was all-in-all a good experience and if I lived in the area then I might go here regular for a bite, but as far as being a must visit place or unique … it isn’t any of those. The place is pricey, ~$ 85 with tip included and we probably would’ve been more satisfied with pizza… but hey, the experience was great. So if you’re doing some bar hopping in the area and are craving sushi … and don’t mind digging a little deeper in your funds, then this is the place for you. But if you’re trying to get something quick or cheaper, then steer clear of this place.
