I love this place!!! The food is delicious and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Delivery is always super quick too. It’s been my go-to sushi spot since elementary school. A true neighborhood staple. Try the seared salmon belly appetizer!

What the heck is wrong with this place? Terrible service. I popped in for a green tea because it was cold and I needed to figure out directions and she told me I couldn’t order. Seriously? I would give this place negative reviews if I could. I gave her the look of death, didn’t respond and walked out. Wasn’t even worth my breath. Awful!

Food is never bad here but they always tend to forget something and delivery notes are an issue whether its on the delivery person or the communication part from the receiver to the delivery person once its being sent out

The restaurant is big. It wasn’t crowded around 8 on a Saturday. This place prides themselves on low prices. To be the honest, it was not low and the portions/quality did not match the prices. My dining partner ordered a lychee martini because it’s 2 for 1. It was very watered down. It tasted like slightly flavored water. He asked to switch his second one for a similar or lesser price and the manager refused. Then with his $ 30 price fix meal he got a free wine. The Chardonnay tasted like it had gone bad so he didn’t drink it. We began with a free Kani salad from the Unilocal check in. It had a lot of celery and was watery and flavorless. For the $ 30 price fix I began with the soup. This was the only part of enjoyed. Then I had shumai dumplings. They only served 3. Most places serve six. Next I had the roll pictured below. It had minimal fish in it. Although I felt very sick and so did the person I was dining with. We agreed it was more than likely from our meal. For dessert I had 2 green tea mochi. They were pretty good. I won’t be returning.

I have been coming to this place for about 15 years and it is like on a fast decline/there’s no i ambience and it’s become a pathetic place. I had dinner tonight there knowing or thinking it was a late night plays the cashier was desperate to get out of there so I had to pay my bill and get out of there as soon as possible. Food is decent but I will never return to this place again. They are vacuuming and cleaning the place while you’re sitting in there they should be embarrassed.

So I never ever do Unilocal reviews, but this… experience require special attention. My family and I came, a party of 8, for Christmas dinner. And the minute we were seated, we got unbelievably terrible and unprofessional. Everyone at the table, except for the child, noticed it. He never took our drink orders. He never refilled our waters either. When he came to take our orders, he was very snappy with all of us. My mother was going to order an appetizer, and he raised his voice at her, saying, «ma’am, I’m only taking appetizers right now,» she tried to state what she was ordering was an appetizer but he continued to talk over her. Then, when we all ordered our appetizers, he then returned to my mother and accepted her appetizer order finally. THEN, he took our entrée orders and continued to be snappy and condescending, explaining that, «if you don’t confuse me, I don’t confuse you, and everyone gets their order.» When our appetizers arrived(staggered, by the way, despite insisting we follow his instructions of ordering), we did not get some of or appetizers, specifically the orders of shrimp tempura. Instead of apologizing for a miscommunication or forgetting, he literally said, «No, you ordered four orders of white fish tempura, no shrimp tempura, I never make mistakes, I’m never wrong.» Aside from a lack of humbleness, I assume he is still a person and can therefore make mistakes, like waking up on the wrong side of the bed. When our sushi arrived for entrees, we asked for dishes for soy sauce and he acted like it was such a bother. It is a sushi place… dipping your fish is relatively standard. I also want to clarify that this was the manager, not a new server or an experienced server. This further annoyed us because he was supposed to be in charge and he had a terrible attitude with customers. It made our meal unenjoyable. The food was mediocre at best, and I’ve never been spoken to in this manner at a restaurant before and I will never go back here.
