Went here for a friends bday after work party. It was pretty empty otherwise. My friend had the entire upstairs, which was cool. It’s roomy with plenty of seating and you could walk around comfortably and even do a two step if desired. The DJ was wack. The waitress was cool and pretty much on point. The food was ok. We had the wings, lobster and shrimp mac and cheese, jerk chicken skewers, apple martini and rum with pineapple. If the drinks aren’t made with top shelf they are weak! Like just drinking juice, weak! The lobster mac and cheese exceeded my expectation and was pretty good. Overall, I would return to watch a sporting event.

Came across this bar because I had noticed a Unilocal happy hour event going on here, I was going to be in the area so I’d figured why not stop by & check it out. Friday night they seem to offer a variety of specials not bad good choices since it seemed that everything was included. Couldn’t find a place to sit any where near the bar or middle area the place wasn’t crowded like that but this area was we decide to hang by the entrance. Getting drinks was a bit of a mission at first hard to get the bartenders attention, finally managed to got some Stella & Jack & diet. Beer is always great, Jack was ok. Since they had so many specials I decided to switch it up by trying a Vodka & cranberry ahh drink was weak but I guess that’s to be expected when happy hour is cheap & busy. As for the place itself not bad overall good size & the Dj played good music. I’d say stick to beer instead of mixed drinks can’t go wrong w that at least. Weak drinks aside we had a good time due to the good music playing & company.

Came here for a friend’s birthday, would not come again. $ 20 at 3am for cover? This is Herald Square not meatpacking. And the club experience was definitely sub-par. After dealing with an overly confusing ATM I found myself is a run-of-the-mill club experience that definitely does not need to be experienced. $ 16 shots and a bartender who felt entitled to a tip. I’m sorry, but when you lost my credit card for 10 minutes, don’t ask me why I didn’t tip. If tip is not included take that up with your boss, not the customer who watched you crawl around with a flashlight. Tips reward good service, and pouring a shot could be done by a kindergartner. Had never heard of this club before and will forget the name now. Do NOT recommend.

I stopped by early on a Sunday afternoon. For a «sports bar» the place was dead. Somewhat loud background music; video feeds were all on mute. I saw a DJ booth but I don’t know if it is used often. I asked to one of the bartenders — who has worked there since the place opened two years ago. I commented that the restaurant was set up as more of a lounge — lots of private space. She told me that the spaces were set up as a sports bar/upscale lounge but the sports bar idea never took off. The place hosts a lot of private parties since of the spaces will work for different size parties — from 20 to 500. For 500, you need to rent the whole space. So I was sitting at the bar, had a free cocktail using the Hooch app. Ordered the eggs benedict which were were nice. Noticed that the brunch menu was not the same as the menu on the web site. Beer selection is just fair — two towers each with eleven taps — I think that they are the same brands at each, I remember ShockTop, Goose; Stella, Brooklyn Lager, Heineken, Blue Moon, Coors Light, Corona Light Worth a stop if you work in the area. Nice looking space; too bad I can’t bring a posse and get bottle service :(

Went there for Happy Hour with 3 other friends. Ordered some food, and I have never in my life seen wings that tiny. I don’t think I could find wings that small in the supermarket if I tried. Brought to the attention of the waitress and manager, both of whom gave us incredulous looks. Really? The check came and gratuity had been automatically added. I don’t think this is the usual practice for a party of 4. Not rushing back…

This place had a cool vibe but… meh. Went for a debate watching party and I hadn’t anticipated how many people there would be. Clearly, neither did management. The entire place was understaffed and the waitresses had a lot of attitude. It took an hour to get one’s attention to order and then another 20 minutes to get my drink, and another 15 to get my food. Then, I asked for ketchup. The waitress said okay, but then was definitely too busy flirting to care. I asked her, at least, two more times for ketchup and a drink refill whenever I could catch her attention. It took another half hour to get another drink, mind you, I was drinking diet coke! For the most part, I believe that there weren’t enough waitresses or bartenders working to make things work smoothly, although it seems that happens a lot so it must be management issue. It really is a problem when many people complain and you don’t do anything. The chicken fingers I ordered and needed ketchup for were the driest, most disgusting version of a chicken finger I’ve ever had. The waitress couldn’t have cared left when I complained. Probably because she wasn’t able to flirt with any boys if I was trying to get her to do her job. I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

On the fence about this place. I came here 2 weeks ago for a friends event that she was hosting and overall pretty much had a good time. Good buffet brunch and good drinks as well. What annoyed me a tad was how long it took for the bartenders behind the bar to take my order for my free mimosas during the 1 and 2 pm hours. It shouldn’t take more than 2 – 3 minutes TOPS to notice someone at the bar especially when the lounge wasn’t really crowded yet. Another issue that I had with Suite 36 is that I was double charged for a drink on one of my credit cards that I am going to have to resolve with my bank and Suite 36 soon. If it weren’t for those two issues which are very important ones this place would of gotten no less than a 4 star rating. Improvements needed for Suite 36.

While browsing through rooftop bars/lounges for my birthday, it didn’t even cross my mind to throw my party at an indoor lounge since I frequent them. Close-minded? Yes. Even my promoter implied it, but it’s the summer, duh. After almost giving up all hope in searching for the perfect venue, my promoter suggested I check out this«relatively new» lounge that plays some great music and is good for large groups. I went ahead and make a reservation with my promoter for 11 pm and even called Suite 36 to confirm and everything was going well… until the day came. While I was walking towards the lounge, seeing everyone who were surrounding the place in all white clothes immediately gave me the impression that something was off. It was a really ghetto all-white party. The bouncer immediately turned me away, even after I told him I had a reservation at 11 – obviously, he didn’t care about that, and I was freaking out at this point. I mean, c’mon…I even CONFIRMED this with the venue and they didn’t inform me of any all-white party, and I certainly was not going to insist on getting in. I called my promoter and he claimed that he had a good relationship with the GM, Olivia, and I can get back in now. This was around 11:45 pm. By the time I got there, the place was like a ghost town and was completely swept of any signs that there was a hoodass party. I will say that they cleaned up pretty well. We were one of the first ones to enter the place, ANDTHISWASAT12:30 – 12:30! They made us wait on line for no reason for an incredibly loooong time, and even after I mentioned my birthday list(which permitted free admission for anyone who mentions it), they almost made some of the guys pay! Seriously, what the hell does this club think it is, Marquee? By the time we made it to this place, a few people in my party had already left – all thanks to their ignorance to tell me there was a party at 11 pm – so we were a little under 20 people, which otherwise, would’ve gotten us a comp bottle. A few of my friends were super sweet and surprised me with bottle service, so we did that and it turned out great. I really liked the couches in this place and the spaciousness – I had already forgotten about all those problems once the place got lively and we kept on drinking. However, the problem was that the busboys kept coming to take our half-drunk glasses and we were wondering where our drinks went. It was really frustrating and before we knew it, they cleared the table and took all of our drinks! You would’ve thought that $ 300 worth of bottle service allowed for us to take our time and embrace the moment. Some of my friends also got me shots and drinks individually and they honestly can do more to seem like they value customers… plastic cups, seriously?! Even the Patron shots were served in plastic container-like cups that were the size of McDonald’s sauce cups and they OVERCHARGE at the bar. Jeezus, this place is pretty awful in being good to customers. The only upsides to this place is the large space(which does not look like the fancy, 2-story dream lounge it is in photos) and tv screens.

I came here with a friend for lunch, didn’t expect much, just wanted to grab a bite to eat. Definitely not your average sports bar here. Really clean, upscale place that is HUGE. The bar is just as large and has lots of giant TVs to watch sports on. Apparently this place doubles as a club at night? They definitely have the space for it, would be curious to see how that pans out. Waitresses are dressed in little referee outfits, our waitress was fantastic, helpful, and sweet. I decided to get the Saga burger which came with bacon and brie. I was SUPER excited about the brie and kept telling my waitress that anything with brie is guaranteed to be good. We waited a pretty decent amount of time, and when I got my burger… no brie. Wrong burger! I was pretty annoyed, but our waitress got me the correct burger without an issue. Truffle fries were on point. Went with a Blue Moon for beer choice. Overall was a decent, enjoyable, experience. I wouldn’t mind coming here again. Maybe a step above average.

Stopped by for a quick meal and some drinks with a friend; who had heard good reviews from his coworkers. We got in and it looked like a sports bar mixed with a lounge, with blue and purple lights surrounding the ceilings and walls. We couldn’t flag down a server; and randomly sat down upstairs only to be relocated to the bar where there was one empty seat. It seemed like a popular place for young people during happy hour, it was pretty packed, we only found seats in the back after ordering a first round of drinks. I got a Suite & Spicy; a spicy tequila drink. I always prefer spicy margaritas and tequilas because of the kick the spices give it. There were a lot of options for a bar; featuring the typical foods like tacos, buffalo wings, etc. I ordered Mahi Tacos, while my friend opted for the Coconut Shrimp and Seared Tuna. We were mainly here for the drinks anyways. The food came nicely arranged, small plate style the way I like it. The tacos were good, I love fish tacos and they did not fail to satisfy me. The tuna came with wasabi, ginger, and edamame, and I was disappointed that the wasabi was dried out. They also did not give enough spicy mayo and aioli to go with it. The tuna tasted fresh enough, so that made up for it. The coconut shrimp was a little too sweet for my taste. We ordered a few more drinks as well, The Rockefeller Gin, and some Coors Lights. Next time I want to try the 50 tacos special– I want to see if we would be able to finish them all!

Suite 36 is a bi-level lounge and sports bar with multiple TVs above the main floor bar and VIP lounges overlookimg the floors. I attended an All White day-party from 4−10pm on a Saturday. The plus: the crowd was at 30+ which translates into folks who just want to have a good time and dance to old-school music. The minus: though the venue is nice, what’s with NOT pumping the AC when you have that many people crammed on two floors dancing their hearts away? Weather-wise, it was a humid night but it felt like a two degree difference between the floor and outdoors. Lastly, being charged $ 16 for a 3oz pour of Jameson with some weak coke is crazy enough but becomes absurd when you ask the bartender for a cup of ice and she acts as if its a total inconvenience.

Your typical Midtown«sports bar.» I put that in quotes bc Midtown sports bars are mad uppity, and this place markets itself as «sophisticated cocktails with sports entertainment.» It’s just a classy looking bar with a lot of TV’s playing sports lol One thing that detracts from that classy appearance is all the women working there are in super skimpy«referee» costumes, like the kind you would see on a college campus on Halloween. I went for a happy hour for work, one of my vendors rented out the whole place, so being there with all my business partners was a little… awkward. Drinks were strong for an open bar event, so I give them credit for that. The wait staff was really on top of everything. The deep-fried mac and cheese balls were fantastic. I love it when a chef manages to keep the creaminess in the bites instead of letting them dry out in the deep fryer.

Really big and comfortable space. The service is very attentive and polite. The food is also good, considering that this a sports bar. Definitely not so good of a place because the food was not memorable, but for sure better Than most.

I came here for a sporting event, and the place was absolutely packed. You literally could not move 2 inches without spilling your drink, having someone spill their drink on you, or hit you in the face with their elbows, nevertheless hear your friends. This was made worse by the fact that the DJ was BLARING music in between plays, so much that I left with a migraine. Although clearly the staff was stressed with so many people and I acknowledge that this was out of their control, I would probably never return here based on the way we were treated. The servers/bouncers were screaming at people to get out of the way, get off the steps, etc. and would physically tap or even push you if you didn’t move fast enough. I understand that you’re trying to service your tables, but if you ask me nicely, I will move. There is no need to glare, yell, or touch me. The catered apps we had were great(wings, sliders, pizza, hummus and pita, etc), but this wasn’t enough to wash away the bad taste in my mouth from our experience.

I came here for a going away party on a Saturday afternoon and the place wasn’t packed but I didn’t expect it to be. We had a section on the second floor. The service was on point and I love the food. I got to try the sliders, chicken fingers and three types of French fries(garlic, regular and sweet potato). I was shocked by how good the food was. Everything I had was delicious and everyone kept raving about the chicken fingers. We did end up at the bar and the bartender was great. This is a great venue if you want to watch a game or have a private event.

Suite 36 has an identity crisis. I assume the intention here is to create a high-class sports bar /trendy lounge experience but ultimately it fails miserably and you end up getting the worst of both worlds. It avoids a 1 star review because it has comfortable seating, plenty of large tv’s for the game, and friendly staff, but everything else about it is pretty terrible. Essentially, you have two types of clientele at Suite 36: people who wanted to go to a club but didn’t want to fully commit to a club atmosphere, and people like me, who mistakenly thought they could have a normal sports bar experience. The result is that I have to listen to edm and rap music instead of the ball game while drinking club-priced drinks in the dark. It’s essentially comparable to a much lousier version of the Ainsworth. Suite 36 has a great space and a great set-up and could be successful if they just chose to lean more in one direction. If it was geared more towards a sports bar, sports fans would return and you would have a sports atmosphere. If it was geared more towards a club, the sports fans like me wouldn’t be confused and have awful experiences surrounded by «club-goers», and you would have a club atmosphere. The blend doesn’t work, so my message to management is pick a side.

Do you like douche bags? Do you like overpriced drinks? Then you’ll probably love Suite 36. I paid $ 17 for a Makers and soda. They also have mandatory coat check(though it’s not strictly enforced, and you can get around it by just walking around the line). The bathrooms are a mess and lines are line. And it’ll always smell like fireworks from birthday sparklers.

Seriously never coming back here again. My friend threw her birthday here since the venue was spacious and the set up seemed nice. The night started with the bouncer being immature by forming a line when there was no one inside. I guess they wanted to hype up the venue and get by passers to want to go in. My friend told me to drop her name and we shouldn’t have to wait at all. SIKE, they wouldn’t open doors for the next 20 minutes, this place is open all night long, we got on line around 10:55… Thankfully there wasn’t any cover charge since we got there before 1am. I went in around 11:30 and I was right, the whole place was dead, barely anyone was there. Thanks for making us freeze. I tried to look past it and got some drinks with my boyfriend, they offer a 20% off discount for your first order so I got a swedish cider and my boyfriend had a dark & stormy. We got the discount but his drink tasted really weird and off and it burned. We brought it back to the bartender who was nice enough to make another drink for us, if it wasn’t for his hospitality I would’ve given this place no star. We switched it for a gin tonic, still meh but better than the dark and stormy. We disregarded it and tried our best to enjoy our night. Except for the music, totally not my thing and there wasn’t any variety. It was really hard to dance to… Bad dj I guess. What really broke the straw was when I went back and my drink was gone. The servers or whoever apparently cleared the table. It was my friend’s table and I didn’t even finish my drink yet. I only left it there to drink later and they tossed it out without telling me. I went to the bar to tell them what happened and the manager said«sorry, we can’t do anything about it « Excuse me? But you’re the one who threw out my drink ?! Least to say I would not recommend coming here, their mixed drinks are served in a tiny plastic cup and they toss out your unfinished drinks when you’re not guarding it at every moment. I overheard that they do a cover charge here which is ridiculous when the dj sucks and the drinks aren’t good.

You know how people say, «don’t judge a book by its’ cover»? This is the perfect example. The appearance of this place is awesome, huge space, lots of TV’s and just a cool vibe. Unfortunately, the rest of my experience doesn’t reflect that. My friends and I wanted a quick bite at 7 o’clock and I found this place and thought it looked like it had a good menu. We sat at a high table near the bar with about 4 other tables dining and doing the same thing. I should’ve been forewarned with the reviews about the service, but I always like to give a place that’s new to me the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, the reviews were spot on. Service was bad. Granted there was one waitress, but only 5 tables and several busboys. My salad was brought out without dressing and I was told the busboy had to go get it. When he didn’t show up a few minutes later, she had to go get it herself. We all agreed the food was decent, but overpriced and thank you for automatically adding 20% gratuity for yourself for your bad service. And thank you for not telling us you did. I hope you weren’t hoping for additional dollars. It seems like a cool place to watch a sports game, but there are plenty of other of those types of places that are better in the city. Sorry, unlikely I’ll be back. Also, we were here during happy hour time(between 4−8pm) and the music that was playing was like slow, depressing, sad downer music. It was bizarre.
