The place is small but the employees there are very nice. The orders are taken quickly however they lack a lot of choices for vegetables — they didn’t even have spinach. The place isn’t too pleasant or clean looking so it doesn’t give you the desire to stay and eat inside but subway is usually for take out anyway. The sandwich was pretty good though — spicy Italian. It’s a good place for a quick grab.

horrific customer service. i called them 45 minutes after getting my seamlessweb confirmation email, which had quoted a 20 – 35 minute delivery window. The guy who answered the phone said that my apartment was«far.» My apartment is 6 blocks and 3 avenues from the restaurant. Anyway, not sure how the distance was relevant, given that he admitted they hadn’t even made the food, let alone left the restaurant. He said it would be «another 20 minutes.» That would make it 65 minutes to deliver, at least twice what they promise. Needless to say, cancelled and called seamlessweb to get a full refund.

Well, Subway got a hold of my complaint and emailed me. I was told that they were having problems with this delivery man and he has been fired. I don’t know if this is true, and I won’t be able to verify that information anyway. The manager sent me an email for a free 6″ sandwich to apologize for the inconvenience. I consider that to be a nice gesture, but I probably wont use it!

Mmmm they don’t really a-speaka the Subway language. One star from the building not being randomly on fire, another star for walking out of there with edible food. Otherwise, trying to get what I want is an unbelievably trying experience where I must explain my choices in an inordinate amount of detail, especially for something sandwich related. It’s a good thing I wanted that toasted… because you didn’t even ask. How many tomatoes come on a sandwich? 3. Double tomatoes = 4, More tomatoes = 1 more. I like veggies on my sandwich and it is a pain to get more than a sprinkle of them. Sometimes when I get back to work my sandwich has fallen apart, as if the ingredients were fighting against the wrapper and the bag, attempting some sort of escape on to Madison Avenue. This is a service business and… service ain’t that good. The other day the lady in front of me said«you know, you make terrible sandwiches. Every time I come in. Terrible.» Ha.

Subways is cheap and filling, just the way I like it! Came here for a quick dinner after visiting gramps at Mt Sinai hospital. This is your usual no fuss Subways. I love how the green peppers were fresh and snappy just the way I like em.

Subways in general aren’t that exciting, but I feel like they deserve 3 stars on average. I think that the ideal review for the majority of Subways would be «3 stars. It is a Subway.» This establishment, however, is below the already embarrassingly low bar Subway has set for restaurants. This particular Subway stands out in that it has a Facebook group dedicated to it — a group entitled«I Love Dirty Subway.» This unfortunate nickname seems to be due to our neighborhood Subway’s run-ins with the health department. I’m fairly certain that everything these guys serve is safe, but I don’t get the sense of institutional feedlot sterility I normally get at fast food restaurants. What really cements this place as below-average for a Subway, though, is the totally lackluster service. Let me preface this by saying I don’t expect anyone making sandwiches at a Subway to give any more than zero shits about my food. Still, I’ve gotten hostile vibes from some of the sandwich artists here on more than a few occasions while placing an order. I genuinely dislike entering this Subway because I feel like they don’t appreciate my business — I don’t really care that they’re not going to ask me how my day was, but I sincerely get the feeling that they resent my presence. I also once attempted to place an advance catering order — after detailing each sandwich over the course of a twenty minute phone call, I arrive to pick up my sandwiches at the designated time only to find that they have decided that it would be easier to just make them to order when I showed up. This made me late to the event I was responsible for providing the food for, which did not help the fact that the free lunch I promised everyone was, in fact, Subway. P. S. — next time you’re at a Subway, try the flatbread, and get it toasted. It’s way better than the other breads. So, yeah — I give these guys a below average on the Subway scale. If you’re craving a mediocre and forgettable sandwich for cheap, I recommend walking the few extra blocks to the 93rd and Lex Subway — the extra time spent is worth it, to me, to avoid this place.

Aww, my local Subway. Fun times. This is by no means a special Subway, but it does not disappoint either. The place is clean and very well staffed. It is a very small space, probably 5 total tables and the line(which there is always one around noon) wraps through the tables. It’s nice that it is just a block away from central park so that you can grab a sandwich and go eat in the park in the spring(they just redid the parks at 97th). A-ok by my standards.

Super small Subway. Very limited seating and it’s packed with students and hospital workers. There are a few other places to eat around Mount Sinai Hospital but Subway is definitely the cheapest place. You really can’t go wrong with a $ 5 foot long. Their service is pretty fast but make sure they get it right because they tend to mess up on your orders during their busy lunch hours.

Just your average subway. They have about 6 small tables for dining in. The place is small so the line has to weave through the tables at peak hours so you might feel awkward sitting there eating lunch while hungry people stare at your food. Most of the staff are very friendly but there are a couple that give you attitude. The kind of people who shouldn’t work in the service business. I see ads for pizza and breakfast items at subway but don’t just get the appeal to order them. Wonder if they are any good.

It’s a Subway, so there’s not much to say about it that you don’t already know(i.e., relatively cheap and pretty bland subs that are über-customizable), and I’ll try to focus on specifics about my neighborhood location. Most of the staff are foreign and speak poor English, so they can be hard to understand at times, but the service is still good and even at busy hours, the line moves very quickly, and you’re usually in and out in less than 5 minutes. Though most come for takeout, if you want to eat there, there’s a few tables and booths, but at busy times the line weaves through these, which is pretty awkward. The ingredients are all pretty fresh, but as with all Subways it comes together for a very bland finish. For the one or two of you who live under a rock and know nothing about Subways, my personal favorite subs(poor choice of words, since nothing at Subway will ever be my favorite) are the steak and cheese(after you generously add salt and pepper), chicken parm, sweet onion chicken teriyaki, veggie patty(surprisingly one of their better options), and good old tuna.
