Product quality is solid comparable to other Subways and they are never too crowded. Sometimes there is a gentlemen who is not attentive and gives attitude when making sandwiches. And also a woman at checkout who clearly doesn’t know how to operate a computed. But overall this is a solid location and I come back weekly.

I’ve had halfway decent sandwiches here but it’s not super friendly at all. Last 3 times i’ve stopped in(summer time), i have not stayed as it was boiling hot. They had the front door open and I suspect that their AC was blown. My visits were spaced out for more than a month, not sure if they have(or have plans to) fixed yet.

Staff not particularly nice, kept pouring mustard on after I told them to stop, gave me a bag covered in mustard. Of course they stay in business because they’re close to NYU.

Rude and slow customer service. The worker at the register is on her phone when ringing you up. The prices seem to be higher than other subways. The sub was wrapped poorly and had food falling out and they weren’t happy when you asked for a fork to pick up the rest of your food that fell out. I’ll be passing on this subway from now on. The food itself was just average and didnt compare to other subways I have eaten at before.

The guys here are just super rude and dishonest. I ordered 2 sandwiches and asked them to put olives on them. They put only a little bit and I asked for more. They gave me attitude and then just threw a bunch of olives on there. Some went on the countertop and they just picked it up and put it back in my sandwich. Terrible. They only survive because they are so close to NYU.

Stingy on the vegetables and meat, never honor the NYU discount(they say, «Oh, the sandwich is already discounted) and they never wrap the sandwich properly. They laugh in your face when you show your ID. Probably the worst Subway I’ve been too. Also, the prices are more than other comparable Subway restaurants for no reason. I don’t recommend this place at all.

Stopped in to get a soda. The menu clearly said a medium soda was $ 1.75. When I paid, they charged me $ 2.17. The owner said, «Oh, it’s because of tax.» I pointed out that my receipt showed they had charged me $ 1.99 for the soda before adding the $ 0.18 tax. He shrugged it off, even when I reiterated that the menu showed a different price from what he charged me. Rather than refund my quarter, he took the menu down off the wall. The guy’s got a nice scam going, overcharging NYU students by a quarter apiece all day every day. In the future I’ll get my beverages at a place with an honest owner.

I love Subway and the reason I always go to this one is because I live 30 seconds away from it. It’s decent in all respects, save for the stock of their food. They always seem to be out of certain breads and cookies. I guess it’s not a big deal, but I’m a picky eater.

Careful with this one. Attended an event in the area as a volunteer and received comped lunch(up to $ 7.00) at this location. Huge standing sign outside boasted of a $ 5 special(variety of 6″ subs and a drink) When a friend went to cash out, he was told he had to pay the difference. What?! My turn — I ordered a footlong chicken breast and the man insisted on charging me for the Teriyaki Chicken footlong which was significantly more expensive. Stingy with toppings and they had no baked Lays available, even though we asked nicely we were told that they would not be sold that day. No thanks.

What is up with Subways not abiding to their posted hours!!! Why do you post hours when you don’t plan on being open??? It days they’re supposed to open at 9am today… it’s 10:12 what the heck!!! Do they not know how to tell time? I knocked on the door and the guy ignored me and smirked the first five minutes of me standing out there and then when I knocked again he waves his hand and shakes his head saying no. Stupid workers.

With the convergence of Maoz shops, and the new qdoba opening all over the city, us vegetable eaters have a lot lot more options for lunchtime. So I would say Subway better start taking notice. Still subway is a decent sandwich option. They do now offer spinach, plus peppers, onions, lettuce, tomato, hot peppers, olives. And a few choices of cheese to choose from too. THe breads although they do actually make them onsite, are obviously from a corporate premade dough so it’s not quite as good as a real homemade sandwich shop. But decent.

A Subway on the Washington Square area of the NYU campus, I have to say that I’m a little disappointed with how much of the non-tomato/lettuce toppings they threw on… definitely skewed in the ratio of lettuce.

This is how every Subway should be. The food is fresh and the cookies are well made. My largest gripe is that the cookies are often not available at night for some odd reason.

I’ve had fairly harsh words for Subway sandwiches in the past. I may have referred to them as ‘cardboard-esque’ and ‘flavorless.‘ BUT, I have also mentioned that I am a sandwich addict… and one day when I was in great need of a sammy, I dropped into this subway location. For starters, the staff is friendly and fun. I had a nice conversation with the«sandwich artist» while he was creating my $ 5 foot long, and he was beyond generous with the sandwich making. The actual sandwich was good — much better than at previous Subway establishments. The veggies were crisp, the bread was soft and warm, and I’ll admit — the cookie I bought was truly delicious. While I haven’t warmed up to Subway completely, I do love this location… if only for the stimulating conversation. :)

A sandwich for dinner? I can’t think of anything more depressing. But if you are in the middle of a 14.5 hour session of programming in C, it makes sense. They have a special where you can have a 12″ sandwich(referred to as «footlong») for $ 5. At that price, what can you complain about? It was the perfect meal to take back to the office, and return to my work.

Pretty much your standard Subway, this location caters largely to the NYU community. There’s seating for about 16, but it fills to capacity quickly and remains so throughout the extended lunch hour. If you can’t get a seat and the weather is agreeable, take your lunch to Washington Sq Park(just one block away).
