Called to see if they accept my insurance. Gave the receptionist the info she’s like you should know if the doctor covers it or not. I tried giving my ID insurance info maybe she can check that was a BIG no. I should know that myself

We went to see Dr. Michael Kelly in Hackensack for him to do knee surgery on my wife. Dr Kelly has been rated one of the best orthopedics in North Jersey and teaches his methods around the world. We went for MRI’s and the prognosis was a torn miniscus. Dr Kelly said he hardly does surgery anymore because of other endeavors. He recommended that Dr. Stephen Silver who is in his practice perform the surgery. I was a little disappointed because we were expecting Dr. Mike to do the procedure. After a little reassurance from Dr. Kelly, we met Dr Silver and decided to have him do my wife’s surgery. All I can say is that Dr. Silver did a fantastic job with the surgery. We had all the confidence in the world that Dr. Silver would do an extraordinary job and he did just that. My wife is in PT and is recovering quite well. All I can truly say is thank you to Dr Kelly for recommending Dr Silver and thanks to Dr Silver for all of his expertise in performing the surgery. One last note, everyone in the practice has been great to us as well. The office in NJ is located at 30 Prospect Ave in Hackensack. I know that Dr Silver’s other office is listed on 64^th Street in NYC. If you ever need a great surgeon for your knee, Go see Dr. Stephen Silver.

IGNORED A PATIENT IN SEVERE PAIN!
After I fell and hurt my shoulder, Dr. SILVER, an orthopedic surgeon, prescribed medication for 1 week. I called his office after 1 week, told his sec’y that I was in excruciating pain. She told me that Dr. S was on vacation and that I should go for an MRI. I told her that I wanted to speak with Dr. S. She told me that she would email him about my situation, and the next day, she told me that she had in fact done so. She told me that my x-​rays had not been read, that no one was covering for Dr. S, and that the x-​rays could not be read for a few days!!! I picked up my x-​rays and brought them to another orthopedic surgeon (a wonderful doctor at Mt. Sinai). I had FRACTURED my shoulder. Dr. Silver NEVER called me back. Nor did anyone else from this orthopedic/​sports medicine practice. INCREDIBLE!
