My fave burger in the city! Better than Shake Shack!

I just noticed that I hadn’t wrote a review for this fine establishment, well that changes now. I have been coming here since I was a fetus(yes inside of my mom). Yes it’s been many moons since I was in there(my mom, not Jackson Hole, this has gone terribly wrong)… Here’s the deal as time has past the prices have increased. Inflation I guess. BUT the portions and tastes are still the same large and delicious. The burgers are what Jackson hole is known for. They are huge, so big I’d recommend for your health not eating an entire burger — either alone or in one sitting.(Seriously). Damn are they tasty and enjoyable. At this juncture of the story I can no longer eat BEEF, so I get the Turkey burgers. So flavorful and like the hamburgers you are able to choose from a variety of prearranged burgers. My last outing with my lady we ordered(and shared) a Southwest Turkey burger which means onions and guac on top(we opted for sautéed vs raw onions.) Instead of deluxe(includes fries) we opted for a side of Jackson Hole’s yummy Potato Salad. Less greasy and you still get a potato fix. At the table they bring you pickles, always a favorite and sometimes we have to ask for more. Other honorable mentions for your delight are the Bronco(grilled chicken) sandwiches, which also come in a variety of prearrangements — like the burgers. Chicken fingers parmigiana hero! served on garlic bread and with a side of that aforementioned potato salad. with lettuce and tomato.(Probably should share this too). And a vanilla milkshake(I believe haagen daas ice cream is used — ahhh hormones, but so tasty damn you haagen daas!). Sweet potato fries with mayo are my favorite fries offered. I look forward to my next outing to Jackson hole whenever that random occurrence may happen.

Great burgers and shakes, we ate here twice on our trip. Interesting building that looks like an old diner. Our first experience ordering how cooked our burger was, where we are from there is no option :)

Not only are their burgers the biggest burgers I have ever seen, they are the most delicious biggest burgers ever. The bun also holds up to this giant burger. Pretty easy to eat unless you load it up with a ton of toppings. We loved the burgers and fries, so we decided give something else on the menu a try — a sandwich. The grilled chicken sandwich is as big and giant as the burgers! The sandwich is big enough for three people to eat. And it was delicious. Fresh grilled onions and mushrooms(not canned)! Definitely will order from here again. Yum. Burger heaven.

I love the food at Jackson Hole. Although known for their burgers, their salads rock!

Great options for vegans/vegetarians. I got the vegetarian nachos without cheese/sour cream and it was great as well as the fries. My dad ordered the Wyoming burger which he enjoyed as well. Service was a little slow but our waiter was extremely helpful and friendly. Will be back for more soon! Wide range of menu options, yes it is a burger place but they have tons of other things! Everyone can find at least one thing here! Not exactly Jackson Hole, Wyoming but I’ll take it!

This is a family go to! My boyfriend and I have family that live just a few blocks away so we frequent here at least once a visit. Burgers are great, we never have had any problems with freshness, quality or service. Great place to have on late nights or nights you have been out drinking and need a bite to eat. You won’t regret the calorie splurge here, promise.

This place is more like 3.5 stars but I’ll bump it up to a 4 anyway for good measure. The burgers are huge! BUT I felt like they were lacking in seasoning, just a bit. They did however cook it to perfection, which is great. The root beer float in a mason jar was adorable and I highly recommend it. It washed the burger down extremely well. Service was great too, a latina woman served me and she was super friendly. So overall, even though the burger needed a bit more seasoning, my experience here was still a good one.

I’ve never been so disappointed by a burger before. 1 — asked for medium rare, got uncooked 2 — paid extra for lettuce and tomato and fries — got one soggy piece of lettuce and the end of a soggy tomato with a handful of cold freezer-burned fries 3 — was supposed to have bacon and bbq sauce — came with 2 tiny, shriveled and undercooked pieces of bacon doused in a vinegary sauce which tasted like it had been sitting around for months Absolutely terrible.

Best Burger ever! Home made like mom used to make. Hand formed patty cooked to your desired temperature. So big you might like to share it. The steak fries are perfect with no grease what-so-ever! Love this place, wish I had learned of it sooner. Very tasty burger and fries. The ambiance us sweet with lots of western memorabilia. The service was excellent as well!

Loved this place! I was mostly excited to go here because I just moved a block away and my dad is originally from Jackson Hole, Wyoming. All I can say is… Wow! This burger was fantastic! Seeing as I’m from Texas, I ordered The Texan — it’s a burger with a fried egg on top. It was phenomenal. I also ordered a bottled Stella that came out with a frosty mason jar mug. So so good. Absolutely will come here again, soon!

I am not enamored of this place. To be fair, I only order out of desperation when it’s late or I am sick. I don’t know why people like it so much but maybe if you order the burger in the restaurant when it’s not cold and in need of reheating, the bun isn’t wet, slimy, and soggy, and you haven’t waited 40 minutes for a burger when you’re near starvation, it’s better. Also, they ask how you want it cooked. That’s promising and solicitous. But they don’t execute your desire. So it’s 12 bucks plus all the extra tip for a walkup to have a soggy overcooked burger with a weird bun and not enough cheese. If my microwave worked, I’d have reheated it. But after 2.5 flight delay from Fort Myers(gorgeous airport with crappy food), I didn’t have the wherewithal to heat up the oven. Plus the bun is all encrusted on the meat. It’s a desperation delivery place. No more.

First time giving a review. I don’t usually write reviews but I have to this time. Had high hope plus extremely hungry. Sat down and waitress came. Ordered the Mexican Burger medium done. That was at 3pm. By 3:25pm, restaurant not busy but nothing has arrived and patience running thin. Finally, after asking it finally came. Didn’t look too appetizing. Supposed to come with jalapeños but small amount of maybe green pepper. Big gray(yikes) burger falling apart. I still went ahead and tried a bite — bland taste. Then I noticed the meat is all red, raw. Peeled open a bit more and all red. Told the waitress and she said they can cook it more. Never mind. Long wait, bad burger, possibly dangerous uncooked burger: picked up my bag and jacket, left immediately, not paying and never coming back again.

Was totally not expecting a 5-star experience, but I have to say that I was quite impressed! I missed the entrance twice because it was a partially subterranean entrance. The front area is the kitchen, which is an interesting set up. The seating area is toward the back and through a little archway. It’s not a huge restaurant, but very charmingly decorated with tidbits and advertisements from the American past. We grabbed a small 2-person table near the back and perused the large menu serving a wide variety of good eats. Our waitress Brittany was super helpful, friendly, and decisive when it came to dishing out advice on which dishes she preferred. We took her word and it definitely worked to our advantage. 1. Pickles: Very lightly pickled cucumbers, sliced. This came complimentarily at the beginning and I could not stop eating these. We ended up with two plates of this stuff. It’s not super pickled so tasted very fresh. 2. Western burger: Delicious and meaty with BBQ sauce and sauteed onions. All their burgers are at least 7 ounces, so large fresh meat patties that they make on their own. I was impressed. Came with a side of thick fries. 3. Root beer float: This was so cute. Served in a mason jar-like cup, they put this huge scoop of ice cream at the top, leaving a little space on the side to pour in their root-beer. I think it was their own since the label on it was their store. In any case, the vanilla ice cream made this so amazing. 4. Texas burger with cheddar: I can’t resist fried egg on anything, especially in a burger, so this is what I got. I got cheddar as an extra to complete this burger. It was pretty light actually, but very satisfying. 5. Oreo and ice cream cake: This was quite good. The oreo gave it a crunch. The ice cream gave it the sweet and creamy. And the sprinkles gave it the extra touch it needed to finish off the meal. Overall, an excellent experience in terms of ambience, service, and food. The value was great, as the food was cheap by New York standards.

I applaud them for dealing with my family… Lol. My aunt made a reservation for her sons 15th birthday and thought it was fine to show up an hour and a half LATE! I was furious but the staff made no complaints. As a party of about 15, we were placed in the back room which was okay. It wasn’t private at all though. The space is so tight and uncomfortable here! It’s located in the basement of an apartment building and it absolutely feels like it… The orders were taken fine, everything was correct and delivered in a timely manner. My biggest annoyance was the $ 20 add on to our bill for bringing a cake. They didn’t offer anything… Candles? Private space? But a $ 20 charge just to cut a cake? Pass me a knife, I’ll cut it myself! The burgers weren’t spectacular to me and no one else raved about their food. Our waiter was fine with explaining our bill and did what he had to do. We had to ask for water a bit but no biggie. Wouldn’t rush to come back and would definitely go with a smaller group in the future.

I love Jackson hole. The burgers here are fantastic for the price. I have eaten at every location except the location in Astoria. I have been to this location on 64th2 times and will continue to come back. This Jackson hole was my first time ordering food using the Unilocal app. I was very pleased with the service and ease of use with the app. But anyway… To my review. Jackson hole is a burger institution in New York City. My uncle used to go to the location on 87th on the upper Eastside on his work break for lunch. It’s nice to know that some places in the city might change location and move to 64th but they do not change their food. There is a full bar inside with a good draft options as well as a full liquor selection. You can order your food online and they deliver to the office if you want. You can get breakfast lunch and dinner! There open till midnight at all of there locations. Jackson hole is predominantly a burger place. Their burgers are not made with imitation meat. it is real meat. No fillers. Old school. Literally the burger is a chunk of chop meat grilled on the flat top. The Cook puts a tin bowl over the top of the burger as it cooks this steams the burger and forms that really nice crust on the bottom of the burger. That crust is flavor! The steam created from the bowl makes for a extremely juicy burger. I don’t think they use any spices in their meat because the grill markings are enough flavor. I love how they put a bowl of there fresh made pickles on the table before you eat. The pickles are sooo good! Jackson hole has expanded their menu two different items you can get Panini’s here you can get breakfast and shakes. Everything is good I do recommend getting a burger though you have to do the burger if you come here. I asked the bar maid for scotch. She was laughing and told me they only have 1 type and I am the only person she has ever seen or heard of ordering scotch here. She told me I expressed her. I don’t know what to make of that comment. I’m really not that impressive lol. But the staff is always nice. Portion size they say that it’s a 7oz burger. Every time I have gotten a burger here it has been more like a 12oz burger. There portions are HUGE. I usually just get a burger with lettuce ny cheddar mayo comes on the side no fries or anything. I can never finish my burger. You could split a burger with someone else. That is how big the portions are here. I have split a burger before and 1 burger was plenty for 2 people Price wise Jackson hole is great. A single cheeseburger is $ 8.99 they do have other burger options that go as high as $ 15 but that is for burgers that have all lot of special toppings. I would rather come here then go to a chain burger place any day you get way more for your money at Jackson hole. The staff is always nice. It’s funny I notice all of the waitresses seem to be young Russian girls. They are always happy and quick to serve you. It’s just a good old school place doing simple food the right way. The place hasn’t changed. Overall Jackson hole has remained a great burger place. My uncle haven’t eaten here in over 20 years and he told me that it still is just as he remembered it. I highly recommend coming to Jackson hole. You get a lot for your money here I will continue to come back to Jackson hole. PROS: — huge portions — great burgers — pickles are delicious and free — friendly staff — 15% off with Unilocal check in! — this was my first Unilocal app delivery

Came to this place twice before. It’s a bit tight for some people and big groups, but if you like cozy settings, definitely stop by for a meal. It’s western themed so there are a lot of cool posters and light fixtures around the place. Definitely burgers are a must — arguably one of the biggest burgers I’ve ever had. Big and overall good burger! Very reasonably priced: $ 13 for a burger platter, which includes the well renowned steak fries, a bit of slaw and thick slices of vegetables to be added onto your burger, that is if you can fit them. I had the Santa Fe, just because I’m a fan of avocado and therefore guacamole by association. No regrets — the guac had a slight flavor of citrus which made the huge burger easier to digest. It came with raw onions, tomatoes and lettuce on the side. My boyfriend had the Western burger. A really gigantic burger with fried onions and a BBQ sauce that«was not overpowering at all,» as he said. We’ve been here before and we’ll definitely be here again! Perfect place to roll up some sleeve and eat.

This review is for delivery only. My boyfriend and I were craving for nachos one weekend afternoon and were delighted to chance upon the vegetarian nachos from Jackson Hole. Estimated delivery was 30 – 40 minutes but we got our order within 20 minutes! The nachos were average. It came with a generous amount of refried beans, cheddar and jack cheeses, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, salsa, cilantro, and jalapeño peppers. We also added on a side of guac that provided the finishing touch but came in a tiny container. Nothing too special about these nachos but it satisfied our craving anyway! A friend recommended their veggie burger so I’ll probably get that the next time I ever find myself there.
