Allyson Shrikhande, MD

I saw the Dr couple of times last year for neck pain and as per her recommendation I went for PT. My neck pain did not improve after several physical therapy sessions, so I scheduled followup appointments, but during the Christmas holidays I had to cancel couple of appointments due to emergency at work. When I called their office after the holidays they said they cannot take me as I had couple of cancellations. Really?
Well I don’t need their service there are just too many doctors in the city that I can go and visit.

I experienced a serious back injury and am so glad that my general practitioner recommended Dr. Shrikhande. Dr. Shrikhande has been accessible and attentive throughout my treatment; she listened to me and responded to questions in a straightforward and understandable way, she referred me to other excellent specialists as needed, and she has remained willing to communicate about my injury for some time since my treatment with the practice concluded. I cannot recommend her (or the rest of NY Bone & Joint team) highly enough. Even though they were out of network for my insurance, the quality of treatment and the experience I had being sheparded through this traumatic event made it more than worth the extra expense. I really can’t speak highly enough about Dr. Shrikhande and her practice.

Very caring. Even when treatment didn’t help me she has stuck by me and always responds quickly to my emails and answers all my questions. I feel very comforted by her. Mine is a chronic problem and she hasn’t abandoned ship like other doctors.
Would highly recommend.
