It was cool, not as bad as most people experience. 42nd st. Is where it’s at. The heart of the city. Stop by if your out here.

We had a singularly bad experience at this location — we ducked inside here when it started to rain and were standing by the reserve area deciding what we wanted to order. My brother was leaning on the counter slightly and some random man ran up and started screaming at him — he wasn’t dressed in any sort of starbucks uniform and refused to answer when I asked if he worked there. We stood back and resumed our conversation and he came back again yelling at us and getting in our face in a threatening way. We were in complete shock as we had done nothing wrong and were about to order. We left partly out of fear that this guy would become violent — the weird part is that the man then spoke to a Starbucks employee so I’m still not sure who he is and why he was yelling at us so intensely. Will never go back to this location and encourage others to think twice until they rectify this situation.

This place was awful. I guess I should expect that in Times Square though. Hectic with too many people. Service was awful. I ordered a coffee with coconut milk… just cold. to be poured in. and my boyfriend ordered a mocha with coconut milk. lactose intolerant. He watched them pour just regular milk into his drink so he had to send it back, and I never got my coconut milk so I just drank my coffee black.

This is the worst service I have gotten at a Starbucks and honestly even other food places. I go here a few times a week because I work nearby. It’s fairly common for my order to just be forgotten or ignored. And if I bring this to anyone’s attention it is suddenly my fault. The drinks are too expensive for the service to be this bad.

The premium espresso bar sucks. It isn’t anything special. What they serve there is slightly more drinkable coffee and espresso, but that just means that you could take it black without wincing. Do not expect latte art. Do not expect knowledgable or competent baristas. Expect a minim wage Starbucks employee pulling a half decent shot and dumping frothy milk on top. For the price, you’re better off at any of the myriad excellent coffee shops near by, Frission being the closest. I appreciate the attempt by Starbucks to have premium offerings. They have the equipment. They have the beans. They’re missing the people. This latte has no soul. This espresso bar is a mirage.

Really slow service with only 1 counter open at 7 am 3 days in a row. Come on. Your in the busiest part of NYC. Love the specialty clover coffee machine.

I don’t normally review Starbucks locations, but this is a unique situation. This particular store is the largest and busiest Starbucks I’ve ever visited; three separate counters and barista areas, and a dedicated Starbucks Reserve counter. Despite the maddening crowd inside when I arrived, I found the staff to be friendly and engaging. And, my drink came out quickly and exactly as I ordered… neither are givens in my experience with other Starbucks locations.

Time Square and Java… Enjoy. This was late night action. Crazy amount of people running around time square. Walked by Madison Square Garden[the knix were playing]. Massive amounts of people on every corner, vendors everywhere. Saw a few bike messengers. It was my first time using a subway to get around-Quite an experience. Yes Starbucks hit the spot. Peace.

It appears they heat up the breakfast sandwich but it is cold. Hot chocolate is lukewarm. Light iced tea is loaded with ice. That’s about it. They manage to NOT make everything I order correctly.

Not the worst Starbucks, but close. Don’t have items on the menu(Smoked Butterscotch); claim its seasonal but all the other Starbucjs still have it and it’s still on the menu. Regularly get my order wrong(make me a grande when I order a venti). I guess when you’re in a tourist trap location you don’t care about quality or customer service.

The line’s weren’t insanely long for the location. The people were really nice and the space was very well laid out. Lots of selection for take away food as well. It’s Starbucks– pretty universal.

OVERALL when I came in the line wasn’t long surprisingly. I’m from California so in December it was waaaay too cold for me in New York. Plus it gave shelter from the cold outside waiting for your drink. I didn’t have rude service in my brief time here so no complaints about that. So overall I am a fan. INSIDE high ceilings make this location feel grand. You’re right off of Times Square. Wood décor feel here.

The usual Starbucks nothing to rave about but of course spot on location. Not much seating. More of a grab and go or stand around.

It’s Starbucks — just your typical Starbucks drinks here. There’s also Starbucks reserve here if you’re into that. The space is pretty big, but don’t expect seating. Good place to wait for someone if you don’t mind standing though, they have bar tables along the windows for you to stand by and a couple tables that you can sit on the west side by the bathrooms. It’s always crowded here and there’s always a line. It also doesn’t feel as clean as other Starbucks, but you’re on Broadway in a touristy area. There are also two lines to order I noticed after coming here for the third time.

I’m a huge Starbucks fan so it takes a lot for me to give them anything but a good review. No complaints — just your typical Starbucks. Like pretty much all Manhattan Starbucks locations, expect a line.

Who doesn’t love a Starbucks!!! Especially one in time square. Of course we were there when there was a huge computer glitch and they only accepted cash. They handled it all very well calculating your drink total on their cell phones. I figured it would be a huge inconvenience and take forever… I was wrong! Way to go Time Square Starbucks!

Okay so this location is SUPER crowded. Probably one of the most crowded Starbuck’s I have been to. But what do you expect for a coffee shop right on Broadway?!? I mean even if it was another franchise it would be hella busy, just because of the location. So taking into consideration that, the employees busy their butts to provide the best and quickest service possible with the zillion customers they have at a given time. Our drinks all tasted good, we ordered a Caramel Frap, iced green tea, and hot chocolate. All tasted legendary!

This Starbucks is conveniently located at the center of all the tourism, right across the W Times Square, where we stayed for close to a week in 2013. That made it my husband’s daily stop for overpriced mediocre-tasting syrupy coffee. It’s HUGE, which means they are paying an exorbitant price for premium real estate. You would think that they might also hire more baristas to reduce the wait time during peak coffee-buying time… or upgrade to a digital ordering system where orders are placed, paid for via tablets, then picked up at the front. ;-)

The Andre the Giant of Starbucks, when it comes to allotted real estate space in NYC! Very clean, a bit confusing on how the line worked, and much slower than other smaller area ‘bucks. You’d think such a large store with so much staff would make for a seriously expedited process. But, besides the cashiers, it didn’t look like they had one employee per area. Rather, some running back from bakery to espresso machine to register. Seems like this would be a better operation with people on specific stations… though they probably want a little backlog for the super busy persona. Standard product, nonetheless.

I just want to say that this is the largest Starbucks I have ever been to. They have three lines for taking orders from the guests. They are also offering a new put pilot program for French drip type of coffee so if you want to try something brand-new this is the Starbucks to find in New York City. They offer free samples and the servers are very friendly as you would expect at any Starbucks brand. The restaurant was very clean and it’s very spacious.
