I came to this Starbucks for an interview I had with a start-up company. It’s quite spacious, quiet, and not as crowded as some of the ones in Lower Manhattan. The staffs here are very friendly and nice. The customers here are nice and some are just doing their own work on their laptop. There’s a fair amount of seating and tables for customers to sit and enjoy their food & coffee.

I’ve come here every more since my daughter’s school year began. Every morning all the staff are super friendly and efficient. Pedro(I think that’s his name) I see just about every morning and he usually has my grande caramel macchiato with skim ready for me!

This location customer service is one of the worst I’ve experience. My cashier didn’t mark my cup properly and so the barista made it wrong. I had to wait 11 mins to get it fixed

Slowest Starbucks ever but nice people. Clean bathroom. Good internet. Always space to sit. Plenty of coffee competition in the area as well.

It’s a good bit larger than the other Starbucks in the area and has at least some comfortable seating, which is also rare around here. It’s further from my apartment than several other Starbucks, but I’d rather walk here if I’m going to hang out a while. But — If you’re just grabbing a drink and heading out, there’s absolutely nothing more special about this particular Starbucks than any other.

As an avid starbuck fan, I’m deeply disappointed at this location. The staff is young and rude. Waited extensively for green tea latte only to learn from the manager, Gina, who happened to come up and noticed me waiting patiently. She learned that they ran out and had to get supplies from the basement. No one informed me of this so I politely thanked her. Immediately right after, one of the young ladies turned to me and said in a reprimanding tone«she did tell you and you didn’t hear her». Stunned, I quickly replied by informing her that I was not speaking to her. This type of high school attitude was never tolerated at Starbucks. I quickly complained to Gina and she assured me that she will speak to that young lady. Unfortunately, I doubt this team of staff would care what their manager would tell them. Starbucks…shame on you. You can do better with the prices you charge and the high standards you preached.

I really loved this place the moment I stepped foot inside. It has room! The inside seating area is spread out so it doesn’t feel completely cramped as it does in so many other smaller Starbucks establishments. The staff were a hoot. It is evident they enjoy their job and love interacting with people. I had a great experience.

Absolute slowest Starbucks in the city! I go to Starbucks all the time only because of the low calorie skinny drinks which took 2 years before they bothered educating most of their own employees that it’s not the same as a non-fat mocha. This Starbucks took 30 min to make a misto(coffee with milk); there was a line only because they served 1 customer every 4 min on average. These 3 workers need to drink some coffee. Couldn’t be slower on a Saturday 11am shift. I had 1 hr to work before an appointment. Now I have 15 – 20 minutes! Never coming here again. Oh yeah, there’s rarely seats and they NEVER make skinny mochas; I’ve checked 6x. Do NOT come here. There’s a coffee bean & tea leaf and another café 1 block west, and joes coffee 1 block north. Wifi is limited here.

Next to the Astor Place Starbucks, this is the largest location I’ve seen in the city. There is plenty of seating and, from what I’ve seen, plenty of outlets. The line has never been too long when I come in here, but I usually don’t go during«rush hour» times. The baristas are super friendly, and my drinks taste like they should! Some of the customers here are a bit crotchety, but I don’t come here to spend time with them anyways.

I came into this Starbucks to grab a snack and charge my phone. The only outlet available was next to a chair that didn’t have a table so I dragged another table next to the chair. The guy who works there(African American, I’d guess in his 20s) was super uptight about it and even though I was using it and I had my stuff on the table, he looked at me weird and asked me if he could move the table back to where it was originally. No one even needed it and for the next two hours, no one used it. I cannot come up with a logical reason for him doing that. The table wasn’t in the way of anyone, no one needed it, and I want hurting any body by just sitting there and eating THEFOODTHAT I BOUGHTFROMTHISESTABLISHMENT. He’s a jerk who needs to remove the stick up his butt. The elderly man sitting next to me offered to share his table with me and the same either guy GRABBEDMYDRINKANDPHONEWITHOUTASKING and puts it on the man’s table and thanks him. The elderly(African American) man was super nice. This worker had no respect for me or my stuff. I am considering filling a complaint with the Starbucks company. He made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed and disrespected. I am not from New York and I’ve heard about the rudeness of some people in NYC, but one of my pet peeves is someone touching my stuff without asking. Otherwise, the girl who rang me up and prepared my food was sweet and cool. The food was good :)

This is a great Starbucks! Love the inside. It’s large and has a great space. I went on a Saturday and it was not crowded — although quickly filled up, so maybe I got lucky. The drink was well prepared and Daisee — the barista who made the drink — nailed it and was super friendly. Great experience. No complaints.

Line are longer here than at the average Starbucks. Judy the barista is nice, but in general, they chat and work slowly. This Starbucks is pretty large and has lots of seating, but there are almost no accessible power outlets. The crowd is more mature here than at the nearby Coffee Bean(high schoolers) and Birch(college students). I watched the manager kicked an old lady out of the store when she asked if a bicycle could be moved out of the way of a spot at the window bar. I’m of the opinion that bicycles should not be kept inside a crowded store, especially since there are city bike racks right outside the windows. Maybe it was the manager’s? They won’t to give you a 50 cent coffee refill unless you originally bought a coffee. According to the Starbucks policy online, it doesn’t matter which original drink you purchased. Of course WiFi is free, but it can be very slow.

The workers here are mad chill and just overly happy people. Like I legit never met people who were so happy working. The entire time they were playing some good blues/oldies music and the entire staff was just singing joyfully.

3.5 The storefront of this Starbucks is typical but it has a nice upstairs area with cozy little tables and a couch. It can get crowded quickly though, but if you find a seat, its a nice spot in the hood to spend some time reading.

Big, Clean, nice seating with big floor to ceiling windows to relax and people watch. The bathroom was also the cleanest one I have been in compared to other Starbucks, I felt like a civilized human in there and not an animal so that was a nice surprise.

For a Starbucks in the city, this place is pretty good. A fair amount of seating space, a large table which can fit a lot of people, and comfy chairs in the back. The service here is good but since it’s so busy all the time the bathroom gets really dirty.

I decided to try this Starbucks and stay away from the weekend museum crowds a few blocks away. A very large and roomy store, but because of this, I expected a few more seats and tables; while I enjoyed the spacious comfort, I still had to wait a bit for a seat to open up. The afternoon I was there in mid-September, the air was turned off and it started to get pretty muggy in there; wasn’t hot outside, but it wasn’t cool yet, either. As for the drinks, another review mentioned consistency, and I was hoping for the best. My drink couldn’t have been easier or more consistently ordered, but the iced coffee I got was really watered down with so much ice(perhaps it quickly melted from the warm room?)… Milk and sugar didn’t help much, though I like it that way. As for service, it wasn’t bad, but I must say: two of the three baristas behind the counter were taking their sweet, sweet time(wish my drink was as sweet), even with a bit of a line forming. I asked a question along the way and was met by an answer that sounded as tired as they looked. It honestly bummed ME out a bit afterwards! Simply put, I felt really«ok» here. Bleh, B for bored experience.

Oh God — it’s so BIG!!! Yeah, that’s what she said!(hardee har har!) Seriously, walking into this cavernous Starbucks location you realize how huge this space is compared to many of the others around the city. Most Starbucks locations are jammed into whatever sized spots they could find to open one, and sometimes you feel as if you are cattle being herded into a corral. Mooooo! When we dropped in here recently really just to use the bathroom we saw how spacious it is. Lots of seating in the back with those circular tables, some love seat chairs, window counter seating, communal table in the middle, and even more of those little circular tables near the front. Large windows all around letting in a lot of sunlight. Plenty of space to wait in line without other people crammed next to you, and actually space to walk around and not be in anyone else’s way. So we decided to get a few iced coffee’s while we were here. Standard flavored stuff and pretty consistent with most other locations. Barista /counter staff was ok but I never expect them to be overly friendly, especially when it is busy as this place was that day. Even though this location was fairly neat and clean the bathroom left a little to be desired. It seems as if no one really wants to constantly perform the upkeep on the bathrooms in many of these spots considering how busy they normally are. Overall, hey, it’s a Starbucks. Decent coffee drinks, free wifi, bathroom for quick relief if nearby, and lots of seating.

Although their location at the corner of Columbus Ave and 86th street almost guarantees this Starbucks will always be crowded, they do a good job at keeping the line moving in an efficient but friendly manor. I work with some die-hard Starbucks drinkers who are greeted by their first names when they arrive but I who am there less often also am made to feel welcomed. On one visit to this Starbucks a few months back I was told the my free bagel and cream cheese coupon was only good for the bagel and was charged for the cream cheese but when I returned with a friend’s card and pointed out that both were included, they offered me any drink on the house or a free bagel and cream cheese to make up for their error. I was impressed. I am also stunned that while the other area Starbucks have been reviewed in Unilocal,I am apparently the first to review this one??? The coffee? It tastes like Starbucks coffee! Update: Dec 2014: The service here has become more friendly since my original review… up a star!

Large. Sunny. Lots of seating. Surprisingly uncrowded for 12:25 p.m. on a Sunday afternoon. I am sitting here, sipping THESINGLEBESTCHAILATTE I’ve EVER had at ANY Starbucks I’ve EVER been to. This was worth the unneeded caps. I don’t know what they did, but it is so creamy and dreamy. I’m sipping with delight combined with hesistation because I know it can not last forever, and this is probably a fluke. I’ll never get a better one from here again. *sigh* Parting is such sweet sorrow… sweet, delicious, creamy sorrow…
