Stopped here after a few hours of tanning In Central Park. Great location! Ran into this place and we were pleasantly surprised to find such good coffee, such a fun aesthetic and such delicious macarons. Stop by

Stopped by on recommendations from Unilocal.Great coffee. I take it black so it has to be good coffee. The bacon, Gruyère scone was insanely good. It was very flaky and light. I would order it over and over again. The banana muffin was a little dense. Maybe if I toasted it it would have been better. Maybe with a little butter. All in all the experience was good. I’ll go back.

Several macarons had a really terrible aftertaste of eggs. Like pastries made with cheap eggs. Also there’s no discerning between flavors — the matcha was just as sweet as the party cake flavor. no underlying green tea, same goes for the others they all tasted the same. But 2 stars for the friendly service and assortment of teas.

Macarons = 3.5 stars After grabbing brunch at Jacob’s Pickles, decided to make a pit stop for some macarons and headed to Milk afterwards(since it was across the street). Always in search of something sweet to end my meals with! Ordered a box of 6 macarons to try out, all of them had the perfect soft consistency but the flavor was what distinguished them from other macaron shops. +Hazelnut(2⁄5): Wasn’t able to taste the hazelnut, it was very subtle and I expected it pack on a nutty punch. +Pistachio(1⁄5): Super disappointed by the filling in this macaron, most places have not let me down when it comes to the standard pistachio flavor but the filling tasted artificial and extremely sweet. +Dark Chocolate(5⁄5): Simple and pleasing to the sweet tooth as it should, the standard dark chocolate flavor you would expect. Sometimes simple is better. +Tiramisu(4⁄5): In general this is always a favorite flavor of mine, recommend ordering one to try. +Party Time(4⁄5): Normally I am not a fan of caramel dessert items, but with the combo of salted milk chocolate and dulce de leche, the two flavors blended well to make this one of the more favored items I liked from their selection. +Crème Brulee(4⁄5): Spot on with their filling, exactly what you would expect in taste. Overall I was mostly satisfied with their macarons, but it isn’t at the top of my favorites list amongst the other shops I’ve tried. Worth giving a try if you’re in the area and need to fulfill a sweet craving.

I had a really delicious cup of decaf cinnamon black tea. Ask for 1 tea bag in a large cup — $ 2.50 The employee was a teenage boy who was nice. Bathroom was clean. Smells amazing in there. Like butter and chocolate. Chocolate chocolate cookie was chocolatey, soft and gooey. Apple pocket was just ok. Really dry and flaky — makes a big mess — and not much filling or flavor. Small space — only 4 tables. you often end up surrounded by kids or teens. But when it’s emptier it’s wonderfully quiet and peaceful. Doesn’t last long though. It’s can get busy. I’m just not sure how clean it is. I mean how much care the young employees take to keep things clean. The tables and benches were covered in crumbs. I know they use gloves to touch the sweets but they handle my cup, lid, tea bag etc with the same hands they sneeze with — witnessed it today — and touch money and the iPad with.

Location: On columbus Ave, this place is easier to find. I stepped in and got greeted by their staffs. The place has two tables and also serves coffees for people. But it is counter coffee, a brand I do not have a crap. Food: I felt like their foods are good but not excellent to pursuade me to order. like the monkey bread, which seems to be too big to finish. And brownie looks bad but FOODBABY suggested it was good.(I felt like FOODBABY had different attitude against me with regard to food taste, cuz what he likes often ended up something i hate most) I had their macaron tho. It was alright not too sweet tho! I would say I love it. Service: nice! Price: 10 dollar for 4 macaron… Overall: a 3.5 star. nothing bad but also nothing fancy about it.

Forget Macarons, this parlour should focus on selling the queen: kouign amann. For $ 3 this is one of the best bargains that I’ve found for this pastry. The caramelized crust, flaky layers, and sweet filling satisfies any doughy craving. However, it seems others have found out about this slick deal, since it is sold out half the time that I try to purchase it. Another downside is that on some muggier days, I’ve seen fruit flies swarming around the desserts.

After the staffer corrected my ‘macaron’ pronunciation as ‘macaroOn’, I decided I’d go with their Kitchen Sink cookie($ 2.25) instead, which was dry but very promising flavor-wise, with a nice balance of salty & sweet. No compost cookie, but a respectable foray into non-macaron goods. that said, will stick with macarons next time but order them by flavor only…

Sadly, they no longer carry Blue Bottle coffee, which really bums me out. However, they still keep me going with Counter Culture coffee and scrumptious pastries.(I like their pastries more than the macarons, to be honest!)

Slightly overrated. While I appreciate that the macaroons are large and inexpensive and come in popular, accessible flavors, they aren’t really fresh, are full of air bubbles, collapse at first bite, and, worse yet, squirt all over the place. It would all sound quite naughty if it wasn’t a… limp experience. The other desserts and pastries they have here are merely OK too. Nevertheless, it’s probably nice to have a place like this in the neighborhood so that you don’t have to trek all the way to Ladurée or another proper establishment.

Nice location, good coffee, excellent pastries, smiling service! What can I ask more of a small«salon de thé»? This is a genuine neighborhood place that is classy but not too trendy, I really feel there if I was in Paris in a small shop next to one of the big Parisian boulevards.

Macarons are all over Manhattan these days. It’s hard to not walk the streets and find some place that sells the confection. This place is a small café and it has a decent selection of about 15 – 20 different flavors everyday. The quality is on par with other establishments in Manhattan although I would say their selection is more limited. The flavors are good and the macarons are exactly as they should be, soft in the center with a slight crust on the outside. There are better choices in the city but this place is a good option if you don’t want to leave the UWS.

Another great Sunday well spent in search of my favorite treat in the world… French Macarons. Though I have already tried Macaron Parlours macs and they are amazing, I have yet to visit this location until this past Sunday. The store itself is quite small but has seating for you to enjoy your coffee and baked goodies. I ended up with a dozen macarons including all of my favorite flavors from candied bacon to crème brule. Dulce de leche is AMAZING and a must try. They are all delicate and delicious with huge flavors packed into such a small and cute cookie. The staff here is pretty awesome, friendly and willing to help you pick out some of their very best flavors and recommendations. The lady behind the counter gave me some info on their cat parlour that I have been dying to check out being I am the crazy cat lady I was completely hooked on the idea of enjoying some macs with a cat on my lap =) I thought it was really cool that they offer dog macarons. Yes I said it dog macarons. My friend picked up two to bring home to his pooch and I’m pretty sure they were made out of olives and his pup sure did enjoy them. Can’t wait to come back for some more!

The ladies working were even sweeter than the delicacies behind the glass — they made our visit fun & memorable, recommended all the best flavors, and even gave us a quick lesson on making macarons. Beginning with a lesson on how to pronounce macaron properly. :) I honestly thought the«thing» about macarons was their appearance, but these were seriously delicious. They have some super fancy flavors — like fig and hazelnut and this peanut butter banana one named after Elvis — and they actually taste like what they are supposed to. It’s amazing that they can get all that flavor into a pretty little cookie! The chocolate croissants are also delicious, but impossible to eat neatly — crumbs everywhere, such a mess! Maybe only eat them in front of someone who loves you unconditionally. :)

Nice to have a macaron shop on the UWS-especially one with such interesting flavors(I haven’t yet tried«Cheetos» or «sour cream and onion» but maybe one day???). The taste is good, especially the lemon which is my favorite. Yet the texture is not quite perfect. There is just something smooth and buttery(melt-in-your-mouth) about macarons at top notch places like Lauderee that I have yet to find here at the parlour. These are a bit harder and crunchier. Also not cheap — bought two earlier today and it came to $ 5.

I am a lover of macaroons! I’ve had them all over the world including France! I can say that in the states this is my absolute favorite place! It beats laduree! They have awesome flavors and the texture of their macaroons is just right! They are slightly crunchy with the perfect amount of chewiness and the fillings are Devine! Please stop in and try some you won’t be disappointed! Oh and please get my favorite flavor the SMORES! Enjoy!

FRIENDLY macaron shop. they have multiple locations in manhattan if this one is a trekk for you most of our macarons were light w/the chew that i look for!.. but the texture wasn’t consistent when you compared all our macarons so they need to work on that! —honey cognac: MMmm —salted caramel: not as good as the honey cognac NOTE: there’s just 4 tables inside for seating & water is SELFSERVEWOOT

What I especially like about small businesses is that the people who work there are insanely nice. That is why I love coming to Macaron Parlour. That and because of their really great macarons. I have been a fan since their street fair days and would always pick up a macaron or two whenever they were present at a holiday fair or market. All of their bite size morsels are delicious and come in fun flavors. I have tried an elvis flavor one that has banana peanut butter, a bacon flavor, a cheetos flavor from their other locations. Recently my tastes have been less adventurous and I have stuck to regular favorites like red velvet, pistachio, smores, tiramisu, carrot cake and caramel when I come to this store. They also serve a bunch of other pastries like scones and croissants. I especially like their flaky crispy almond croissant. They also have a hand in baked doggie treats too. Refer to the display that is reserved for Fido. The interior is a sparkling white and all of the macarons are displayed behind the big glass countertop. You can also ask to see their macaron menu. There is also a small water dispenser if the macarons make you a bit thirsty or try their blue bottle espressos and sit at one of their little tables to enjoy your macarons. This is one of two shops opened by the husband wife duo so whether uptown or downtown you can check out their marvelous macarons. This location is a bit harder to find since their little store is currently obscured by a scaffolding but it is right next to Animal General and across the street from Momofuku Milk Bar. Definitely one of my top favorites for getting macarons.

It takes balls for a sweets shop to open up across the street from the excellent Momofuku Milk Bar, but if anyone can succeed at this, it would be Macaron Parlour, as everything they make is incredible. Not only are the macarons some of the best the city has to offer, but the cookies, bars, donuts, and every single other thing they make is delicious. As if that weren’t enough, they also sell Blue Bottle Coffee(iced for a decent price of just $ 3), which is one of the tastiest brands available in NYC. I’ve tried several of the macarons and cookies at the original St. Marks location( ) and at their booths at various food festivals, but I still made a decent dent in the rest of their menu here, trying some of the new items and some more macarons: — Goodbit Bar($ 3) This thing is really incredible. It’s a layer of brownie, topped with a layer of caramel, with a final white chocolate/peanut butter cookie-type of layer on top. The brownie part is so fudgey and rich, and combined with the other layers just makes for such a great flavor. This is a must try. — Kitchen Sink Cookie($ 2) A lot of times kitchen sink cookies are just hard and somewhat flavorless — the same way when you mix too many colors together you just get a nasty brown as a result. This was far from the case here — even with all of the several ingredients, including what I think was Oreo, something I’ve never seen in a kitchen sink cookie before, the cookie was super soft and chewy and a perfect consistency. Even though this cookie was incredible, it wasn’t even as good as the several other even better ones they have, like the Chocolate Chip Fleur de Sel, Chocolate Peanut Butter and Chocolatey Chocolate Chip Cookie(I think I like chocolate). — Macarons($ 2.50 each): Carrot Cake, Red Velvet, Hazelnut, S’mores, Thai Chili I finally had to stop after these 5, even though I wanted so many more because these are so good. I would normally consider macarons one of my least favorite options for sweets, way behind cookies, cake, brownies, ice cream, etc., but the ones here are just so good. Not only do they have flavors much more interesting and fun than your typical macaron places, but they all just taste so good. All of these I picked tonight were incredible, especially the Carrot Cake and Red Velvet, but the one that really stood out was the Thai Chili. This one is made with Peanut Butter and Sriracha — yes, that Sriracha. The result is indeed very spicy and quite strange, as it feels like you are eating Thai food in macaron form. It happens to be delicious in spite of the strangeness, and is definitely worth trying. Another thing you definitely need to try that I had once at the original location is the S’mores Donut, which they only have on the weekends. It should receive a lot more press and hype than it has, as it is as incredible as it sounds. I am happy to see this place expanding, and hope they grow into an even bigger chain, as they churn out some of the best sweets in the city. I will continually be back to try the rest of the excellent cookies and more of the unique, delicious macarons.
