This Starbucks is located in an excellent part of town. You can literally grab a coffee, and head over to the AMNH. I ordered a cookie and a GTL. They heated the cookie just like I like it, so it was extra gooey. My drink was perfect, and it was great. The only reason for the four-star review was the service. The employees seemed a bit disgruntled.

Very nice relatively small Starbucks in the upper west side. I came here because I needed coffee very early in the morning and it wasn’t supplied at my hotel. I got here right when they opened on Sunday at 6:00, not 5:30 as stated in Unilocal, and found that when you go to a Starbucks right when it opens the coffee is exceedingly fresh and good tasting. Either that, or this shop just has better quality than most. There are not too many seats here, but there were some comfortable seats for me right when it opened so I could sit with a nice cup of coffee to start my day.

No bathroom for their customers. Excellent food and service. Nice part of town. The coffee is good and so are the cookies.

Staff were friendly and accommodating, serving us just as they were cleaning up and closing. Would definitely recommend. Only wish they had longer hours.

Just your typical Starbucks location that happened to be conveniently located only a block away from where my husband and I were walking when we suddenly felt like we were going to die from the cold. Pros: The Starbucks was warm inside(haha!), and the employees were relatively nice. Cons: There is no bathroom available to customers and seating is very limited. Only one chair was available for my husband and me.

This Starbucks doesn’t even deserve the one star I’m required to rate it. In fact, this is my first 1 star review, who would’ve thought it. I’ve been to this Starbucks four times now and as of last Wednesday, Dec 11th, it will be my last. My wife and I have frequented Starbucks all over the country and visit one about every other day… and I can safely say that this one hands down has the rudest employees and most horrible service of ANY location I’ve been to. Want to reload your Starbucks card at the register? Want a cup of water to go with your $ 5 coffee? Want a spill stick? Want any kind of basic customer service? Forget about it. You’ll either be ignored, get some serious attitude, or the biggest guilt of your life. During my last visit, I requested a card reload for my Starbucks card before we placed our order. This alone created a negative response from the cashier. Following this I promptly give our order(2 lattes and 2 feta wraps) and asked the cashier(who’s name I believe was«Dominic») to run my items separately. Starbucks employees know that this is required in order to earn rewards on the Starbucks Gold Card. This apparently was too much to ask and prompts the cashier to start giving me a biggest guilt trip of my life, «oh man, you’re going to get me flagged…, I got a line man(2 people, seriously?)…, man, seriously, see I’m going to get flagged». Not to mention, this guy is taking his sweet time plugging in the first 2 items on the order since he’s too focused on complaining rather than just doing his job. So after the second item, I tell him, «If you want to run them on the same ticket, that’s fine then». So of course he runs the remaining two items on the same ticket and after the receipt prints says, «dang, thanks man you got me flagged, thanks». After this I proceeded to ask for 2 cups of water from the barista.(I did just spend nearly $ 20 on coffees and food did I not?). The female barista annoyingly responded, «you can have this water over here»(pointing to some water that had been sitting there all morning apparently). At least in my world, 1 water does not equal 2 waters; and if its so hard to get a plastic cup out and hold it under the water spout for 5 seconds, give me the cup and I’ll do it for you. After this, unable to find any spill sticks, I decide to take another second out of this barista’s life and ask if there are any spill sticks… from which I’m greeted with another rude, «I dont know where they are». Quite frankly, I was done with asking the barista for anything and quite frankly the drinks she made tasted like this barista’s attitude, GROSS. Need-less-to-say, I couldn’t help but call corporate and complain after this last visit. Of the 4 visits, I found only one cashier to stand-out in the friendly-ness department and that was a middle aged family man who we laughed and talked talked about Disneyland with(he has a timeshare there). For the others, I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. Bad day? Okay fine, but seriously four visits in a row? Like another reviewed said, this staff needs a kick in the rear and a reminder about who pays their wages. Do your job, stop whining, and get over yourself. Paying $ 20 a visit for 2 coffees and 2 food items is already ridiculous. But add bad service to that, no thank you! I’ll buy my expensive coffee and treats elsewhere. In fact, since this visit, my wife and I avoid this Starbucks like the PLAGUE and haven’t been there since; and that’s saying something… If you really have to go to a Starbucks, take the subway to 59th and visit the W 57th Street and 6th Ave location instead.

Its just your average NYC Starbucks. Somedays its on and somedays its off, Certain barristers are great at what you order and remember you. Some just seem like its their first day making a coffee. One thing they really have to work on is their staffing. Somedays its busy in the morning and they have 3 people on. Some days its slow and they have 5 people on. Yesterday at 10am there were 3 people on, a long line and one employee spent so long making a box of coffee, it was a long, long wait. Maybe they should figure out a better system for the box of coffee and the amount of sides you get with it. Maybe have the sides ready. UPDATE!!! Went there sunday morning before work and would probably not go back. There was a short line and it took a long time. One employee, with a reddish beard was yelling at other employees and customers because he was having a hard time making and giving out bagels. The 3 others working there had to help him and ignore the customers. He even went up to the manager and yelled at her tell her«your the manager, you should do better». I would have fired him then. I finally ordered my coffee and asked the barrister to add something to it at the end and was then lectured how I should have ordered it before. The only positive note was that the regular barrister, who was stocking when I got there said hello to me by name and asked how I was doing.

Good drinks, service and seating. Caveat: there is no longer a restroom for customers. I wish they would put a a table or two outside with the benches and stay open later. Other than that, it’s a good place.

Good service, nice seating space, few comfy chairs near the window, and not too crowded. Cons: although bathroom was clean, it was filled with 4 trash cans that should be outside, making it really crowded. The bathroom was used as storage space and it really grossed me out.

It’s a good thing I don’t have to listen to employees yell quotes from Pineapple Express to each other while I’m trying to get work done at all Starbucks locations. .. it would be seriously detrimental to a brand that I’m normally a fan of.

The staff here need a kick in the pants. Five of them usually standing around in behind the counter talking with each other while there are 20 people waiting in line. Extremely slow service, usually only 1 or 2 people making drinks. So frustrating! Customer service, people! It’s rude to stand around talking to each other when someone is staring at you waiting to order.

This Starbucks is small(hardly anywhere to sit at all and a very limited number of outlets!), dirty(there were large garbage cans scattered all around inside the bathroom and the bathroom was gross and there was no toilet paper!), and the service was very rude and inefficient. The only thing I liked about this place was the packaged yogurt parfait I got. Other than that, this place sucks. I’m never visiting again.

«This star needs to go to rehab» Although the staff was very nice, I left only with a iced green tea. Craving an artisan breakfast sandwich, I was saddened to arrive only to be met with none. This was after the first Starbucks I tried hadn’t received their shipment, then the second one I tried said their oven was broken, and then the lovelies at this location were some permutation of aforementioned excuses. Clearly there was some cluster-fuck occurring on the Upper West Side on this particular day. Forced to get a crappy bagel at some hole in the wall bagel place. :(

This Starbucks is pretty small, considering the museum crowd. It took what felt like a long time for our drinks to be made. And after waiting a while for a free seat, we realized there were no outlets(at the stool seats by the door). On the other hand, our drinks were perfect, once we found a seat(with an outlet) we were comfortable, and the music was great. I’d come back for a coffee after a trip to the museum, but not if I wanted to get any work or studying done.

This is a very little Starbucks but it totally gets the job done. The baristas both times I went in were nice and pretty quick and the bathroom was clean. The drinks I ordered came out«right» too. That’s all I ask for! :)
