Starbucks

This just your local Starbucks nothing exciting happening here, it is in a residential area so the lines tend to be shorter than in the busy commercial areas which is a plus. The baristas are quick and accurate and the space is clean, what else can you ask for of Starbucks.

This used to be a decent location a couple of years ago but lately they’ve had a rotating cast of incompetent employees who don’t seem to grasp how to make coffee or run a store. If you want to spend 20 minutes waiting for your coffee when there is a minimal line, watching the barista fumble around while the manager stands and watches with her arms folded then this is the location for you. Even though it’s under my building I’ll be going to a different location.

Horrible. They make my drink wrong every time. By either making a completely different drink, just dumping ingredients in a cup haphazardly or giving the WRONG SIZE CUP and telling me IM wrong about what size it is. I’ve gone there 6 times, on different days. Always the same.

Every time I go into this place the line hardly moves and the place is filthy. They really need to get it together at this location. Better places for coffee around.

I walked out the other day without being waited on and there were about 3 customers in the store. The person who was taking the orders was also filling the coffee machine with beans @ a 1 scoop full every 3 minutes pace. The next time I went back the person who helped me was eating a cookie while she took my order with a mouth full of food. I feel like Starbucks is slowly going down the drain.

I went after work so around 5 o’clock the staff was cleaning up and getting ready to prepare for closing taking the garbage out etc. etc. There was on person on the floor and he had and Afro in which the hat could barely fit his head he took my order and made the drink himself in a fast manner, I ordered a iced chai tea latte with coconut milk light ice 2 pumps sweetener. He engaged me in conversation asked how my day was going and told me to enjoy the weather made me feel welcomed. I told him the drink was great and gave him 2 extra dollars since he was alone.
It was my first time going there the service was excellent and so was the drink. I would highly recommend this Starbucks to anybody as long as the staff keeps good energy.

Great place to open the morning with. The employees are nice! And the coffee is great!

Ive lived here for 8 yrs. In that time the turnover in this Starbucks hasnt been too crazy. And the place has always been run pretty well and the wait is usually not that long. But that unfortunately, is now a thing of the past.
There is a whole new crew, an absence of any kind of management and semblance. Bunch of morons working here that are rude, slow and could care less about getting people out the door. They ask you what you want, ring you up and never put your cup in the «queue». But if youre lucky and your cup makes it to the queue, good luck with it making its way down the assembly line in the order it was received. Here’s a tip — get the orders out instead of standing around and straightening out the contents of the cabinets. Maybe wait until AFTER the customers are taken care of and then do your chores.
But the biggest and most disgusting problem of all is the filth and garbage that is strewn about he front of the store every day. I have been taking pictures and plan on sending them with a nastygram to corporate to let them know that the new staff needs to be fired. How the management of this store thinks it is acceptable to not pick up the filth from the night before escapes me.
This place is falling apart and it’s really starting to piss me off. If Im paying 4 bucks for a goddamn coffee — I want the whole goddamn experience without the ignorant bullshit and nasty attitudes that are currently going along with it.

Love this starbucks. I am a coffee addict and go here everyday and the staff remembers my name which makes me feel so good! The wait is normally pretty short and they always seem to get my coffee just perfect!

Music is nice. Air con is nice. The female staff is aggressive. Her name start with T. Too strong the way she speaks to customers. Customers feel bad and sad …

Do not go here on the Weekends as the Employees have an IDGAF attitude and can not make coffee or drinks the way you want them to be made. I ordered an Iced Caramel Macchiato as I usually do.
The guy who was at the Barista looked High and out of it. He literally just pours whole milk over Ice and then hands me the drink. I look at him and then explain what I ordered. He then yells at me Thats what it is NIGGA. the woman at the register then snickers trying not to laugh. I tell him no its not, their is no caramel or coffee/​espresso in the drink he shrugs and then just walks away.
I had to call corporate on this team twice now and its just stupid that they act this way and can get away with it.

Wonderful Starbucks!!! The NEW baristas are well trained. There was one barista who used to work there and she is gone, and since then all seems better. There is one black girl who is the sweetest sweetest! barista I have ever met at ANY NYC Starbucks. :)
Great location, and seems more community based and has many regulars who LIVE in the area. Does NOT have the corporate stuck up, cold feel that the Starbucks on East 85 Street and Third has, or the ghettoness of the one on 91 Street and Third Avenue (Manhattan)

I had planned to do a check-​in but at 6:45am not only is it not open, there isn’t a single person stirring in the joint! Lol flakes

Quick service, a decent amount of seating, some outlets and Google WiFi makes this one a winner.

Was in NY for work and vacation. I stayed at courtyard Marriot on upper east side! I am a big coffee person and especially love to go and grab some time at Starbucks and hot cappuccino. Luckily found one near the hotel.
I liked this Starbucks for its comfy couch. Just good to chill and relax there at the end of the day. I don’t think anything needs to b said for the stuff they have. Everyone knows that. :)

This Starbucks is on 1^st ave if it’s the one I’m thinking of. Strange that the address is 90^th st. because the entrance is definitely on 1^st.
I remember being at this Starbucks on some minor holiday when the other local cafes were not open. It was busy and the barista didn’t know why. So I told him. «I went to two of my other regular coffee shops and they were both closed, so now I’m here.»

Tried to order ice coffee with caramel sauce and syrup. But couldn’t remember the word for the sauce part and stood at the counter pondering for a few moment. The guy taking my order was giving me a «can you finish ur fxucking order ?!» look. Another lady who is not familiar with Starbucks didn’t tell the cashier to add milk to her sweeten iced coffee and asked the barista why their is no milk and is it sweeten? The female barista just froze and then said out loud «hey *** this is your fault u didn’t write on the cup «then the cashier just told the lady seriously «» miss you have to say it while u take the order». And the lady had to apologize to end the conversation. What kind of conversation was that?!. The employees here also chats with each other and laugh out loud sometime which was kind of annoying. The manager really should take some action to these problems.
Update: One of the employee now is sitting next to me at the customer area and talking loud on cell phone… WTH?

Excellent place to chill with your laptop or book… comfortable seating. I love this Starbucks location for their nice lounge seating. Staff is very professional and helpfull.

I study at Starbucks probably 5 day a week. This is part of the Starbucks review series.

tl;dr: This is a sunny Starbucks (due to the large storefront windows), with ample of space, couches, and outlets to go around.

LAYOUT: The store faces W onto 1^st Ave at the corner of 90^th and 1^st. There are two stone bar tables and a small lounge area with two sofas on the side that faces 1^st. This is generally very sunny because of the wide storefront windows. A row of couches down the N and the E side of the store, and a few tables scattered throughout. Should be able to comfortably seat 30 to 40.
STAFF: The staff here has always been pretty friendly and pleasant. They sometimes will try really hard to shoo you out the door when it’s getting close to closing tie though.
CROWD: I think the crowdedness of this SB varies a lot. I’ve came into this store around 2 when it’s mostly empty only to have it fill up completely an hour or two later. Likewise, I’ve also been here at 2 and had to stand around for a bit waiting for a seat to open up (this has only happened twice?) The nights here (around dinnertime) are super quiet.
BATHROOM: On the NE corner of the store — fairly clean, as I think less people pass by on 1^st ;)
OUTLET: This is the MAJOR PLUS of this store. There are so many outlets! I usually come here when I really need an outlet and want to be guaranteed a place to plug in. There’s outlets pretty much next to anywhere you can sit in the store. It runs down the line of couches, and there’s an outlet at both bars that look out onto 1^st.
