This location sucks everytime. It’s always something with workers or product. This time they do not have any pumpkin spice latte. You can imagine my frustration. Never again with this location. Stay Away!!!

The service here is wonderful and the staff acts so down to earth and social. I come in here and it looks like they remember certain people’s order and whether people have been here in a while. They also look like they’re cool with their customers. Also, there’s a good number of outlets if you need one. You just need to snag a good spot.

The management changed the sets of crew but the attitude is still the same. They need to re-train their employees regarding customer service. Put a little smile especially in the morning, PLEASE!

There is a very, very rude Barista at the Starbucks that is located in between Frederick Douglass Boulevard and Adam Clayton Powell on 125th street. Her name is Thalia and she has rolled her eyes at people and she seems like she does NOT enjoy working at Starbucks. She sometimes purposely goes slower to avoid people. The line or queue will be out the door and she will sometimes go in the back to take breaks when there is only 1 person at the resister and no one at the bar. I’ve seen her argue with customers at the register too and so many people have complained about this individual. In my personal opinion you should find another coffee shop. There are coffee shops with nicer people in the area.

They are sooooooo slowwwww at this location. Anything more than 2 people in line and it’s over. Store is nice but they also cannot seem to keep it properly stocked

Sometimes the baristas are a little too distracted and the service is slow. Otherwise I recommend them if not in a complete hurry. It seems to depend on the day. And what is the point of hiding the stoppers ?! It’s like gold to these people. You ask for one and the barista looks as if you asked for their soul.

The experience is what you used to expect at a Starbucks. Straightforward service without grumbling, one two three in and out. Bathroom is usually clean and well stocked. Seating is adequate and they always have all items on hand.

Who ever was working today had no idea what an iced chocolate is, and somehow it ended up having a shot of vanilla in it.

Best Starbucks in Harlem. Usually quite clean and the atmosphere friendly. I enjoy the jazz themed art on the walls. Some very entitled-acting Ivy League kids are not nice to staff. Tip. I love the recent remodel of barstool seating along the front window. I wish it were twice as big though, as so many people use it as an office that I generally cannot get a seat!

Tall iced caramel macchiato with whip. Simple drink, and it used to be my favorite. I’m always willing to over look that their version of a macchiato is more so a latte(and a 4 $ glass of milk) but this time, no way. First, the cashiers barely achknowledged me, mind you, there’s no one else in line. Then the barista making my drink was busy having a full conversation with other staff and she seemed to rush my drink out and it wasnt the pretty macchiato I’m used to at say, downtown locations, and it was missing the whipped cream. The tiny amount she gave me for whipped cream was laughable and she went right on with her conversation and the next drink. This is the closest Starbucks to where I live, but I think I’m going to just take the trip to see my friends at the 125th locations.

MAJORATTITUDEFROMSTAFF! Every time I come here, a different staff member is having a breakdown or severe attitude problem– one was screaming like a maniac about calling HR, another told me, «there’s a bathroom next door» as I walked toward the restroom, another rolled his eyes at me upon asking if this location served a particular pastry. Please train your staff or hire less bitter people. Otherwise the location is convenient and I never had trouble finding a seat.

One of the few Starbucks in this part of town. There’s barely any table as its filled with laptop hoggers(they have electric outlets right under the table so it makes sense) Staff was nice but no restrooms with a sign that says ‘OUTOFSERVICE promise it’ll be back’ sign on the restroom door definitely put me off as I needed to release before I bought coffee. I usually give three stars to most chains and Starbucks but no restroom is an automatic minus 2 stars for me.

I think for the amount of money we pay for a simple coffe the service should at least be decent enough, I cannot say that about this«location» for example… I’ve been here just a couple of times, and i still regret coming back.

This starbucks has serious management issues going back for at least a year or so. As mentioned in other reviews, the staff is unashamedly friendlier to certain customers. Coffee is consistently watered down as compared to other starbucks to the point where I know not to order it from from this particular branch. I’ve been a starbucks regular for years, and I can’t say this has been an issue with regularity anywhere else — how much can they possibly be saving by skimping on the grounds? In short, this is the worst starbucks that I have ever been to.

This is overall a very decent Starbucks location. The lines are way shorter than the 125th and Adam Clayton location which is usually super long. The staff is friendly. It’s always very clean. I don’t normally get anything complicated but I’ve never been disappointed. They have a decent amount of tables which are always filled.

You know that deal that Starbucks has where if you have a Gold card, you get free refills on brewed coffee? Yeah, it’s the greatest. As a Columbia student, I live off it during finals and midterms. I keep the cup, come back daily(often multiple visits) and get my free coffee. It’s never been a problem. I’m working this summer on Frederick Douglass, so the 118th St. Starbucks has been my local spot lately. When I walked in to get my refill today, I was told I had to «hang out in the store» to get my free refill. Come on, guys. Get with the picture. That’s not cool.

Let me start off by saying, I worked at Starbucks for well over 4 years. It was a sad time in my life and I definitely drank there Kool-Aid. Luckily I didn’t end up with that naked mermaid tattooed on my ass. This is by far the best Starbucks in NYC. The Staff is very friendly. They learn your name and use it every time. They are also the only Starbucks I have been to in the city that makes all there drinks correctly. I know it doesn’t do anything to the taste but if I’m going to pay 4 dollars for an iced tea I want it to be shaken. The store itself is always immaculate.(No bugs in my iced coffee like the one on Lenox. Sure it is a chain but there are very few places in my area for coffee and the few there are cannot compare with the level of customer service at my Starbucks.

Pretty slow service but a decent coffee. A handful of tables(one– or two-person only). Great for the neighborhood!
