A starbucks right smack in the middle of Chinatown?! You know it gotta be busy. Unfortunately, this is the Starbucks location closest to where I work so I am forced to come here to get my daily cup of joe. There are long lines in this location everyday but the workers work fast to get you in and out as quickly as possible. However, with such fast turnover, there are problems. There are times they have gotten my order wrong and there are sometimes they even forgot to make my order. I don’t worry much since I understand they are swamped with customers and just ask for my cup to be remade. However, being busy is not an excuse for their messiness. This location is probably one of the less clean Starbucks location I’ve been to. Also, the self help milk and creamer seem to be always out. Would I come here again? Yes, because they are the closest to my work. Is there anything this location can work on? Most definitely.

Extremely rude staff. I asked for a light drink and this was too much for Ash on the register to handle. She complained in front of me about needing a break from«these damned people» and walked out. Very disappointed with this level of service.

This is the closest Starbucks to where I work. A lot of times there is a line, but it moves fairly quickly. Unfortunately for me, this is where a lot of tourists who take a long time to order go because it’s located RIGHTONCANALSTREET. It’s kind of a small shop so it can get cramped. I can’t complain too much because it’s a hop away from work and a quick caffeine fix! I really love how this place used to be a bank and still has some of the original Chinese styled fixtures.

This place is ok. I had a bad impression when I had tried to get a refill as a member and he accused me of having had already left the store when I didn’t. THAT Wasnt cool.

Visiting NYC and checking out Chinatown, my mom and I stumbled upon the oasis! STARBUCKS! However, this was not what I would think the corporate team would like representing their company. It was not as tidy as most Starbucks I have been in. Let me say I am a gold card member, so I know my Starbucks! The baristas informed me this was an express Starbucks(never heard of that before) and no, they did not have a restroom. Which everyone knows in Manhattan is very difficult to find when you need one. Mom got the mango iced tea and was happy with it and I just got a bottled water. I think it probably is tough to run this kind of business in Chinatown, but Starbucks has a reputation and customers know what to expect when they come in, this branch kind of misses the mark.

RUDE! Unacceptable rude customer service for the only three times of visit, the staff were always in the status of «Get the **** out of my face». I’d rather walk couple blocks more to the one on broadway.

It used to be a nice and the only Starbucks in Chinatown. I like come here a lot until they closed the restroom for customer. Maybe they feel too many tourist using their restroom. Starbucks is the only place I feel comfortable using the restroom. Why will you close the restroom in this location? You know how hard to find a nice restroom in Chinatown?

I just came here with my sister. We saw a Starbucks post with the cotton candy frappé, the lemon and etc. and wanted to try it out. The asian girl taking my order told me that she didn’t know how to make it and that I should provide her the recipe. I am fine with the fact that she doesn’t know how to make it. However, the way she delivered the message was not very pleasant. She wasn’t downright rude but she did look and sound very annoyed. I ended up ordering the double chocolate frappé and she seemed reluctant to put in my order. I did not expect such service at a place I normally see filled with people.(It wasn’t that busy when I went though) I can only assume they achieved such success due to location.

The Chinese guy a couple of people in front of me was trying to order the Cake Batter Frap from the Secret Menu. Some Starbucks locations are really great about trying to make some of those items, but this location was not one of them… He was struggling through heavily accented English and the barrista literally turned to the shift manager and said, «I don’t speak Chinese.» Incredibly inappropriate and rude! The poor guy then tried to order the S’mores Frap and the guy kept antagonizing him thinking he was saying«Small Frap.» Last time I checked, this was still the service industry. Given that most of the people in the location were Chinese. I think it’d probably make good business sense to have one of the cashiers speak Chinese? Or atleast be incredibly patient with those whose native tongue is not English.

Starbucks, how do I love thee? Let me count count the ways. I’m a proponent of paying for convenience, but when it comes to this Chinatown branch of the corporate chain this price comes at a premium too high to measure in terms of time value of money lost for mediocre coffee that you get. Moreover, at peak times, queues and crowds in-store tend to swell to the point of claustrophobia because not only locals are dropping in, it’s the tourists. So many tourists who flock to national chains like a moth to a flame. Small touches like that you’d expect from your local Starbucks or coffee shop that can remember your name or drink? Yeah, fuhgeddaboutit! That ain’t happenin’ here. However, I do tend to enjoy coming here after a night out in the LES/Chinatown an hour or two before close. Those are perhaps the only times you can snag a chair/stool. As for ambiance, that all gets lost in the utilitarian design of the retail space.

When you become used to something for a while… you slowly become immune to it… gotta get a cup of Starbucks when I’m out and about in manhattan… There’s much better starbucks locations in NYC… I don’t like it when I order a frappuccino and it’s so thick that I can hardly sip it through my straw. so then I have to just poke at all the ice with no flavor and just drink that through the straw… I prefer mine to be more on the liquid side… I hate when my cup is still halfway full but the only thing in it is the ice… This place is always crowed… limited to seats… very uncomfortable… and there’s no restrooms!

Never has there ever been more blatant lack of customer service and care at a Starbucks. I was ignored by one of the baristas, he skipped me when ordering, and also in making drinks. He made my drink but did not serve it to me — left it behind the counter, no cap, cooling(while serving other customers behind me) and when I complained he ignored me and instead his coworker apologized to me saying«I’m sorry his priorities are elsewhere»(and served me the cooling drink) Well, this particular barista needs to get his priorities straight — if you’re working, that’s the priority. I don’t know this person, and I have no idea why I was treated with such disrespect. I was under the impression that Starbucks started out as a company that aimed to deliver high quality customer service. I’m reading all these reviews about this starbucks — lacking a manager, untrained baristas, poor quality drinks — this Starbucks needs to step up because there will definitely be complaints to corporate coming.

Store 7680 Chinatown Manhattan has a Starbucks for Lo Fan white America? Yes. The exterior façade is adorned with a Asian knock-off art including the pillars. Following lunch with a co-worker to break from court cases we came here in stillness. The Valentine’s heart sugar cookie $ 1.95 piqued my interest which was, indeed, yum. This Starbucks is quiet large with ample seating.

Not bad but could be better! I asked for a cup of tea, and the employee assumed two cups because I was with a friend. Attention to detail is a must! I ended up paying for the other cup anyway because the employee looked so lost and confused as to what to do with it. I assume this location gets quite busy since it’s in Chinatown, but we went after work hours, and it wasn’t bad. There are probably cooler local coffee shops around the area to check out though.

Nothing wrong with my drink but I just witnessed the barista give major attitude to a customer. The customer wanted her money back because the store ran out of the requested pastry but the barista kept yelling at her«Excuse me, excuse me. There ain’t gonna be no problem if you just let me talk. I’m gonna give you a blueberry muffin instead…» And whatever else the barista said. The customer’s follow up, «I’m not looking for a problem. I just want my money back.» And the combative barista goes on a bit more. Just give her her damn money back. OMG

The staff are always sweet and efficient with my orders, for them I’d love to give them a happy five stars. Unfortunately it’s located at the busiest corner of the touristy heart of Chinatown so there’s not much peace and quiet here. The place has a unique feature of having a Chinese-style ceiling but bad feng shui with the island right in the middle and in the way of things, often confusing people on how to form lines. The wait is a mixed experience, as some mornings I’ve waited as little as over 5 minutes and some for much longer. Not ideal for charging phones or pulling the laptop out and chilling. Mostly barstool window seating. No restrooms.

I had no issues here like the others. There wasn’t that many people when I came in and the order was fast and I was out the door happy with my order. :) Wish all Starbucks was this quick. Maybe that’s the trick bad reviews so not that many people go there. I’m thinking conspiracy.

This starbucks is not too bad, i have seen worst. At different times of the day its does get packed with people and tourists trying to get something to drink. i had no problems getting the drink i want but they did spell my name wrong tho, but its cool i dont really care. The staffs were nice and friendly sometimes if you get them on the wrong time of the day they can be rude and nasty. there is not tons of seating or even an outlet to charge your phones if needed. overall this place is ok not bad but not too good, its a 50⁄50 to me, if i am in the area i would stop by again.

Nifty little Starbucks tucked away on a bustling corner of Canal and Centre Street in Chinatown. Not much stands out about this location as it’s small with little seating until you look up and view a cool ceiling that shows off the Chinese culture of the area. It looks as if this was once an ornately decorated bank or some other business/facility in the past and they preserved the ornate décor to keep a nod to its Chinese heritage. It’s actually quite beautiful and elegant looking. As a Starbucks goes it looks like it was recently revamped and has all the same drinks and products as most. Free wifi and one small bathroom. Limited seating. I grabbed an iced coffee for my trip back uptown on the way back to work before jumping on the nearby subway. Seems like a very busy location but the staff was pretty quick.
