As a newbee to the veggie life, this spot was really nice for me. I tried the philly styled seitan and it was a delicious meat substitute especially if you’re in that transitional phase. The sandwich took about 7 minutes to be made. The space is nice, cool vibes. They lost a star because they had a «B» from the health department.

There are plenty of reasons that this is considered a neighborhood favorite by many. Here are just a few: One of my favorite places for coffee and a soup/salad/sandwich. Quinoa salad and curried cauliflower wrap are a must. They have the best menu for healthy options(that are still tasty). It has the most seating of any of the other spots in the area, plenty of communal seating for laptop users and many tables reserved for diners. For better or worse, because it’s so popular, it’s hard to always know if you’ll get a seat during their busiest times. Service might not always been the fuzziest but it’s prompt and no typical West Village-type attitude. Feels like you could be in Brooklyn or the East Village.

First, I can’t believe their location in Sullivan has closed down. That’s the location where I was first introduced to ‘sNice. Anyways, I am addicted to their tofu scramble wrap. I come here as often as I can when I’m in the neighborhood. The servers are nice but I noticed they always forget about my drink when I walk away from the counter. But, once it’s made, you get a thoughtfully prepared apricot/orange iced-tea with a hint of sweetness so I can’t complain. I even introduced a non-vegan friend to the tofu scramble and she inhaled the wrap. This location is better to hang out and work on your computer than the closed down location. It has a lounge-type feel where you can chill for a bit. Love it here.

This location deserves two stars solely because of the quick, friendly service. The prices are so low that you’d be distracted from the extremely bland food. I ordered the Bueno Burrito which wasn’t so bueno, because it desperately needed salt. That alone was a deal breaker for me.

It’s my Saturday office. Computer use only at shared tables can prove to be problematic. There are days when there are 10 open single tables and only one seat at a crowded shared table, but it usually works out okay. All the food is vegetarian and I have been making my way through the menu. Some sandwiches/wraps are amazing and some are so-so. The kale and black bean wrap and the cauliflower curry are my favorites! The coffees and teas are good and a nice size for the price. The baked goods are delicious and my dog loves the baked dog treats! I feel like half the staff is awesome and the other half are kind of whatever, but nothing overly off putting.

Insistence by rude staff to keep the front door open during a freezing winter day forcing three paying customers to be unable to enjoy their purchased food and drink. If you have«ventilation» problems install a hood fan like every other establishment has figured out to do. And PS fix your internet.

Coffee, vegan food and an afternoon working on the WIFI to Smashing Pumpkins and Jane’s Addiction, I’m in! ‘sNice is a cozy spot with industrial coffee house décor, friendly service and solid veggie fare. The vegan chocolate chip coookies are delightful and I think I’m feeling myself gain weight on the yummy Vanilla Bunt Cake. I read some reviews complaining this place is pricy. So what, the sandwiches cost $ 10. They’re veggie or vegan goodness and yummy. They come with a nice little salad. My meatball sandwich was delicious. The coffee is fresh and tasty. For what is around, ‘sNice is a bargain and a great place to have lunch or pop out some work.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast. The double espresso was nice and the carrot cake muffin was good but nothing special. There was plenty of room to sit early on a weekday morning if you wanted.

I tried one sandwich– eh, it was expensive and not enough smoked tofu, in my opinion. $ 9.25 for a sandwich with thin slices of smoked tofu, sundried tomato, and something else that I forget because it was somewhat underwhelming, on ciabatta($ 9.25 was too much). BUT– I come here for wifi usage, delightful café atmosphere with rockin’ music and LATTESINPINTGLASSES. Yes. The lattes are gigantic. I am officially addicted.

Like the ‘sNice in Park Slope, this location has good fresh reliable vegetarian/vegan fare. For comparison, I ordered my fave, the curried cauliflower wrap with mango chutney. The quality and presentation was the same: excellent. The hipster staff were ordinary and the atmosphere was relaxing. Laptop users are limited to large communal tables and there are many small tables for everyone else. The place looked very clean, including the restroom which always seemed to be in use. Smokers take breaks in the small backyard area, and smoke wafts in with the breeze, but I didn’t find it too bothersome. Because good-quality vegan options are always limited, I give 4 rather than 3 stars, and bookmark ‘sNice for a future visit.

It’s like a grungier Think but with more unknown band postcards lying in the foreground and flanneled messy haired men/woman: I dig it. I haven’t been in West Village for a couple of months so finding this spot and realizing immediately once I entered that I was again surrounded by Liberal Arts students and struggling artists made me smile, to say the least. Also, I’m really glad my friend recommended this place since I’m always looking for new coffee joints. I ordered the Iced Mocha and instead of tasting a gross artificial mocha powder I got a smooth drink. Not too much Mocha but not too little. Next time I’m going to have to try the Vegan cupcakes. Just a note though, there aren’t that many seats!

The service was friendly and music blasting. They have signs on every 2 seater table telling you not to use your laptop unless you are on the large communal table. Surprisingly for a chain they have a limit to use your credit card which is illegal and against the agreement they signed with the credit card company. I don’t know how they enforce that because you can just report them to the credit card company but I didn’t feel like arguing with them and just paid cash. My tempeh reuben was pretty bland so far now my rating is only a 3 but I plan to go back and try other things, paying cash of course since their entrees are 25cent short of their limit allowed to charge on a card.

Want a good sandwich, here’s a great one! So far everything I have ordered here has been amazing. I really can’t wait to return and try some of the other menu options! All of the flavors work in harmony to satisfy your taste buds! I can personally vouch for their Tempeh Reuben and a I believe a Buffalo«Chicken» Wrap. Tempeh Reuben has awesome melty daiya cheese on it and the tempeh tastes amazing on it’s own. I am going to have to update this review eventually with some better descriptions but trust me on this one, they have the BEST sandwiches in the whole city(at least for vegans)! Terri is a close second, but ‘sNice has something(not sure what) that makes it that much better.

Quite surprised that the ratings are low. There are so many options on the menu plus it’s not pricey! Thanksgiving leftovers-YUM! Must get! Best sandwich here. Maybe because I’m a fan of yams. The blend of veggies, yams and sauce. WOW. So perfectly made. Vegetable Panini — Your basic bread and veggies. Triple Decker Tofu Club — Amazing layers of tofu! 3 slices of bread, veggies and tofu in the middle. Great picnic sandwich. Tempeh Reuben — I want to try something different sandwich. Not your average fake meat sandwiches but it could use sauce. Buffalo Chicken — Surprisingly good. Pretty accurate chicken taste. I found the sauce a tad salty. Philly Style Seitan — Second best sandwich here. Veggie head craving for a philly sandwich? Order this. You will be satisfied.

Quintessential relaxing spot in Soho that serves great lattes, paninis and baked goods. You can come here with a newspaper and/or laptop. Great menu for vegans also! Prices very reasonable. Definitely will be revisiting in the near feature!

‘SNice is a no frills all-vegetarian/extremely vegan-friendly sandwich shop in the West Village. The exposed brick and the selection of books in the corner provide a rustic and cozy feel. The seats, however, are SUPER uncomfortable. The combination of a comfortable environment and uncomfortable seating is pretty much the biggest tease ever. I really want to give ‘SNice five stars, but between this and the inconsistent friendliness that I’ve experienced from the staff, I just couldn’t. The jerk-factor has definitely decreased a lot over the past year or so, but there’s still a little bit to go. It would be a much more comforting environment if all of the pretension was left at the door. In terms of food, ‘SNice does not disappoint. I’ve had almost every sandwich on the menu several times. ‘SNice does a good job offering veg*n alternatives to sandwich classics [vegan Reuben, anyone?], which I appreciate. The seitan philly cheesesteak is better than the faux philly cheesesteak that I had INPHILLY… which I think says a lot. My all-time favorite, though, is the thanksgiving leftovers sandwich. The brussels will CHANGEYOURLIIIIIIFE. But, BEWARE: the thanksgiving leftovers sandwich is only offered seasonally — one of the many reasons to love/hate the holidays in NYC. The food is all heated up in microwaves, which is a bummer, but it IS a low-key sandwich shop after all. The baked goods are a little less tasty, but still not too shabby. I’ve been known to throw back a vegan ice cream cookie sandwich every now and again. Get it with the chocolate chip. Mmm. I’m all about keeping it class[y]ic.

I love my quinoa salad. The space is pretty rustic with ample seating. They request that people with computers sit at communal tables. Vast menu. Well lit. Nice people working here. Great for people watching, too.

Thank you for rescuing my bladder, tattoo man. I was in this area early before a show and needed to find the loo stat. I was wandering around for awhile trying not to think of waterfalls, water faucets, dripping water, etc. Finally, I got really desperate as nature was rapping on my door incessantly. I walked in here and the man behind the counter greeted me with a nice smile and visible large tattoos and piercings. I asked if they had a bathroom and he was really nice about it. He grabbed the keys, walked me to the side of the store and walked me down a flight of stairs to savior. I was never so grateful. I came back and wanted to have a cup of coffee and an afternoon treat. This place offers many vegan treats, so if that’s your thing, you need to visit. I had a nice refreshing cup of iced coffee and a kitchen sink cookie, which has nuts, pretzels and potato chips. The sweet and salty mix really hit the spot. I chatted with the counter guy and he says that he understands when people need to use the bathroom. The bathroom situation in this part of town is bad. He said that people across the street also send people over. He says that can be a bit problematic especially when they are busy. He was really nice and I appreciate the random act of kindness he showed me. Let’s face it, New Yorkers are nice.
