Not only is this restaurant dirty, the quality of the meat/ingredients is sub par. I stopped in last week with a friend, and did not like the lamb pita I ordered one bit. The pieces of meat were hard and chewy. You’re better off eating street meat!

While walking by one day, I had a mega urge for a slice of pizza. They offer pizza and Mediterranean food I believe. I have no experience with the Mediterranean offerings, but was impressed by the variety of toppings offered with the pizza. I opted for a pepperoni and bacon slice. The guy behind the counter was nice and quick. The slice was reasonably priced at $ 3.75 and was pretty tasty. I’d get another slice if in the area.

Gourmet: of high quality and often expensive; connected with food or wine of this type. According to the definition above, quality and cost aren’t mutually exclusive, which is why I don’t quite understand why Sido proclaims to be «gourmet.» The quality is mediocre at best so while the corresponding cost is a bit high, it nonetheless doesn’t meet these two requirements. I dropped by for lunch yesterday, and ordered the falafel, baba ganoush, and tabouli combination platter. Served with several slices of pita everything was average– at best. The three pieces of falafel were almost flavorless, and the sides did nothing to add to the taste. So for $ 10.52 with tax, I would have been better off going to XLP Food Cart, and foregoing the sides. Needless to say, I won’t be back.

Decent pizza slices and pretty solid Mediterranean entrée dishes. I enjoyed their grilled chicken entrée with salad and humus/pita bread. It’s about $ 16 for the entrees, but you could possibly make two meals out of it. Best part is the place is super clean and well maintained.

NYC just has the best pizzas in the world. Well haven’t been around the world but I’m just guessing they do. It’s just that if you go anywhere else in the U.S., this decidedly average pizza joint would be considered a «best NY pizza in town» candidate. There’s just something about that thin, chewy crust with a smat of crunchiness at the bottom that you find at seemingly every NY pizza joints, that other cities just can’t seem to get right. Why is that? Why can’t other cities replicate what every hole-in-the-wall in Manhattan seem to take for granted? By all accounts this place is a dive. No decorations to speak of, more like a convenience store-meets-lions club than a restaurant, «waddayawant» attitudes behind the counter(but not in a bad way, seriously), and their pizzas are not any better than the hundred other places like it you run past in Manhattan. But then, I’ve tried about a dozen of those dives and have never been disappointed. This place is no exception. Just good pizza. Average, maybe by NYC standards, which is why I’m giving it 3 stars(and all the non-food factors), but honestly, can you find a place as good anywhere outside of New York? If you can I’m there. Table-for-1 Factor: Yes, as with the other 100 places like it.

I don’t normally make reviews but I had such a bad experience I felt it necessary to share. I ordered through grubhub from them, and I never will again. The good: The food is tasty The bad. An hour and a half after I ordered I called to find out where my food was. The guy starts screaming at me on the phone saying I never picked up my phone. I rechekced my phone again to see. Nothing. So after I explained that to him, he calmed down and had the order resent to me. Fine mistake happen. I meet the delivery guy, and now he gets in my face saying he called me six times. After I show him my phone he continues to assert that he called six times and continues to fight with me about it. This is totally unprofessional and rude, and while I would’ve kicked his butt up and down the sidewalk, someone else might’ve felt threatened. Will never order from here again.

I am really bummed that Chopita across the street closed. That said, I enjoy this spot as well for tasty falafel combos and pretty good pizza. I got the«combo 1» today with Tabouli, Hummus and Falafel and it was plentiful and delicious. If you’re in Midtown East, give ‘em a try.

I get lunch here atleast every few weeks as I work close by. Their mediterranean offerings are always tasty– I usually get the platter and the babaganoush and tabouleh are delicious. Their service is pretty friendly too. It’s a no frills place but their food is delicious.

We had this via seamless tonight. Very fast delivery. Very very authentic and delicious with massive portions. We had the Sido Combination, which is 6 or 7 vegetarian appetizers. This included, 2 Falafels, 2 Stuffed Grape Leaves, 2 big pieces of Feta, perfect hummus and tabouleh — very spicy — nice, Baba Ganoush — really authentic, a few other items too. And they gave us an entire package of Pita bread. The Mujadera is amazing and better than any other in New York and came with a great small salad. The onions are freshly fried to perfection. At 50 cents each we got four Falafel on the side, but we should have gotten more, they are so good. Certainly the best and freshest Falafel I have had in New York. The Spinach Pie, was only alright, as it was more of a small pastry, which was wrapped up. The spinach inside was great but the pastry did not do any thing for me. We have found our new Mediterranean place.

Pizza only review but I won’t be back for anything else. AWFUL pizza regardless of price. Hard crust, cardboard flavored — leaves you feeling gross afterwards. Factor in the price — they overcharge for slices that aren’t as good as other places that charge half the price. There are 10 other places within short distance that are better, including dollar slice joints.

The Mediterranean food is really good — I get the falafel all the time. In fact, they just changed their awning to be more Mediterranean oriented. Stay away from the pizza

The food is fantastic — fresh-squeezed juices, halal meat, and vegetables I enjoyed even hating vegetables. Not many tables, 6 – 7, but lots of people going in and out

Eggplant Musakka– really good. Shawarma gyro was super spicy, and atypical… but not bad. Rather than have slivers of meat, they seemed to have diced the lamb and then sauteed it. It was a bit tougher than regular shawarma meat, but it was still tasty. I’d do it again.

I tried the Combo 1 with tabouli, hummus and meat. It was delicious! The best tabouli I’ve tried! The portion seemed too little at first but it was enough for lunch and I think it was fairly priced for what I got. I would definitely go back and recommend to others.

Had lunch here midway through the Holi event going on Saturday. They didn’t care that I was covered in colored powder as long as I was paying. Interesting to note that this place serves Middle Eastern food along with pizza. But since we were gonna go to Mamoun’s later, we just got pizza. White slice, Pepperoni, Buffalo Chicken, and a coke. Everything was OK. Nothing super amazing, a bit expensive at near $ 20, but whatever.

I’m being very generous by giving them one star. I ate the food, each item wasn’t so good. I went out to the street and vomited. Apparently they cater to a non-discerning clientele. Apparently, they cater to a non-discerning food clientele.

This place is not your average pizza spot. It actually has pretty decent Mediterranean food. My only qualm is that they don’t use fresh pita… but that being said the falafel is TASTY. The pizza is sub par though. Prices are a bit on the high side for what you are getting. I’ll still go back occasionally though.

I had two BBQ chicken pizza slices. They were ok but along with a can of Dr Pepper came to $ 9.60 which seems high for ok pizza. I was brought here by a co-worker who used to work in the area and told me this was a good pizza place. I’m guessing their Greek food is better than their pizza. The service is fast I will say.

My colleague and I wanted to have a quick and healthy lunch. We decided to go to Sido. I had delicious platter of tabboule, falafel and eggplant dip and the lettuce salad came as bonus, as it looked much better than the sample platter. Generous soft and delicious pita bread accompanied. Glad we went there. Service was great, as I think it was the owner, he surprised us with a nice cup of mint tea! My friend also loved her platter, she had hommos instead of the eggplant dip. Will certainly go there soon!

One of the worst slices of pizza ever. I got the fresh mozzarella slice. The cheese was rubbery and bland and there was barely any sauce on it. I did not enjoy it at all. I won’t be back ever.
