Place is legit. 4 stars cause of ridiculous line. Other than that awesome

Shake Shack at Citi Field is the first Shake Shack I’ve got to have. The shakes are so good it keeps you wanting more. The line is always ridiculously long because everyone knows how good this place is. One game I went to in August this past season, I was in line for 3 innings and it was already extremely windy. When you are at Citi Field, you cannot pass on Shake Shack.

The shake shack lines at citi field… Always long The food… Always amazing I often hear people ask«is it worth waiting on this line» and my response is an automatic and emphatic«yes!» Citi Field has better food options than most ballparks and sure you can skip the line and get stuff elsewhere, but this is an absolute must if you’re headed to the ballpark(especially those doing ballpark tours, etc.) Leave yourself extra time as you may miss the first pitch if you head in too close to game time. Grab a double burger with fries, find your seats and make sure to shout LET’S GOMETS between bites of the deliciousness that is Shake Shack

Imagine you took a Shake Shack, placed it in the middle of Citi Field behind center field, stripped the menu of most of their popular items, and then jacked up the prices. Then you’d have Shake Shack Citi Field. I can’t blame them for increasing the prices since it’s a ballpark and we’re all used to it(beers are $ 9 a bottle…). The lines I can’t fault them either. But if you show up early enough, you can get to the front within 20 minutes. There are also two separate lines, which is nice. I also can’t fault them for having a limited menu, since it would be a hassle to make more than just the basics. But they should at least have a special Citi Field burger. As it stands, you can get a regular/double Shackburger, Shack Stack, or the shroom burger. They also have the regular hot dog and the chicken dog. That’s about it. My Shack Stack took forever because they didn’t have the mushrooms ready, which was lame. Other than that, it’s a fine Shake Shack experience, better than the worst, but not better than the best.

Of course the biggest draw of this particular Shake Shack is its location. Being able to watch a Mets game while eating a Shackburger and cheese fries, what’s not to like? Well for starters, that line is pretty damn painful. I mean, at any location you’ve learned to expect a wait, this is like that wait times 10. Luckily I went there early so I wasn’t in a huge hurry, but still. Second, this location has a very limited menu. Just burgers, shakes, hot dogs, and fries. Makes sense, as they don’t have the space or the time to be cranking out too many items. Third, it’s also more expensive at this location, but to fair, so is every other food stand. Most importantly, the burgers and fries are just as good as any Shake Shack location, which means the positives outweigh the negatives.

I never bash other Unilocalers, but like come on. 20,000 other hungry people… Yeah it’s a long line… Have some fun people grab a friend stand in line while downing a beer, talk some sh! t. It’s not that big a deal. The food is great. It’s all American. The fries are to die for. IT’S CHEESEONCRISPYFRIESWHILETHEMETSAREPLAYINGLIVE! that’s a fiesta. The burgers are made from 100% magic. They taste amazing. The shakes, are shaken not stirred LOL

Food: As usual, the best burger in NYC with the longest line ever. I would suggest if you are willing to wait on this line order more then you want so you have no regrets when the burger is all gone in your tummy lol. I recommend to go for the shake burger double and one of their flat top hot dogs. This will get your through the game with no regrets. Brew: There’s not much of a selection here since it’s a ball park but they do have something very special to pick over your water down lite garbage beer, Goose Island IPA. It’s $ 10.50 for a 16 oz can but its delicious, cold, and the best beer pick to enjoy your time there.

I can’t believe that my first visit ever to a Shake Shack was at Citi Field… and didn’t suck! Yes, it was even worth waiting on that crazy long line for TWOINNINGS! How fresh could a shake, burger and fries be at a sporting event? SOFRESH. that’s why you’re waiting forever for it! I actually saw them making the shakes the old fashioned way behind the counter… really pleased to see this! The burger was delicious. definitely not wimpy. I was worried that the fries would be a disaster but they were crispy and addictive! I’m a fan!

Color me impressed. I didn’t have high expectations for a limited-menu satellite location of Shake Shack in a ball field, but these guys do deliver. We waited in line for about an inning and a half(or two), but when we got our meal it was fresh and delicious. Not world changing, but up there with Five Guys or Elevation Burger — aka the best fast food burgers you can get, IMHO. The shakes and fries are also delicious too, I was surprised to see them scooping ice cream into metal shake containers and running them in a old diner-style blender at with the huge lines they serve, but I guess that’s how they maintain quality. Cheese fries were delicious and SUPER filling, too. I’d go again. The shack stack was pretty cool too, I liked not having to decide which of their burgers to get, haha.

I like to have a burger from Shake Shack every once in a while, and if the Mets happen to be playing a home game when I get a craving, then I’ll head here to Citi Field and try to get some cheap promenade tickets last minute so I can enter the stadium to get in line for some Shake Shack! Sometimes this is more convenient than going to Manhattan or Long Island for another Shake Shack location, or cheaper than going to the other Queens Shake Shack(since that one is in JFK and you’d have to buy a plane ticket). They’ve got TVs everywhere so you can watch the Mets play an inning or two(or three) while you wait in line to order your burger. It’s a bit pricier here, and occasionally the burger patty has been greasier than normal, but the staff is trying to get you your burger fast so you can go watch the baseball game you paid to see, right?

Shake shack is a 5⁄5 however this outlet location located inside of citified isn’t s 5 because they do not have the same variety as a regular shake shake. The workers here as sweet as can be but the fact that they only have 3 shake flavored isn’t that good because at a regular shake shack my favorite shake is the peanut butter one

I dont know what they do to cook that burger to be so juicy and delicious, but it’s better than the other Shake Shacks I’ve had in the city. The first location in Queens and the second it’s in Terminal 4 at JFK Airport. Many compare the Shack burger to In-N-Out burger and I have to say that Shake Shack is wayyyy better than In-N-Out. It was worth the wait, only waited the first inning, good thing for the large screen to catch the first pitch and the game.

Hey! It’s just like an actual Shake Shack but with longer lines and a staff that isn’t as well trained! I waited half an inning for my burger while I just stood at the line looking like I was the counter’s high school buddy who wanted to chat. I don’t know why it took so long for my single to cook up but it did and got no apology or explanation.

Pricey but delicious! I’ve been to Citi Field numerous of times but only tried Shake Shack twice because the line always looks so long. Although the line may be long, it moves rather fast. We only missed half of an inning waiting which isn’t too bad. I ordered two single Shack Burgers, fries, and a black & white shake. Thee shack sauce in the Shack burger was friggin good! Served on a soft warm bun with gooey melted cheese along with a juicy beef patty. Pretty tasty for a burger priced at $ 7.50. It’s a bit small but this is by far the best thing I’ve eaten so far at a ballpark. The wavy fries are nice and crispy. No sogginess whatsoever. The shake was great! You can taste bits and chunks of ice cream. Verdict — I could see why the line is always so long now. It’s just that darn good. There’s never a line at Blue Smoke or the Pizza joint. When you’re looking for something to eat at Citi Field, you’re gonna wanna come to Shake Shack!

I love Shake Shack because they have the best burger and fries I have ever eaten in my life. All the burgers and fries are made fresh and are not processed. Their handspun milkshakes are also the best. This really adds to the CitiField experience of watching a Mets game. The major drawback is waiting at least an hour, about 1 or 2 innings to finally get your food. Hopefully, they can implement a system to make the lines go quicker. I also wish they had more locations in Queens.

Came here in the 7th inning and lines were about half as long as I’m used to seeing. Burger was overcooked and dry. The concrete was a soupy mess. I guess ya gotta brave the lines and go here earlier in the game if you want decent food. Or get dope field level seats that have waiter service — 5 – 10 minutes from ordering until delicious food is in your hands. Ugh I’m torn on this one but my last experience merits a 2-star rating.

HOLYSHNIKIES!!! I think I died and went to heaven. Visiting Shake Shack was on the list of things to do while in NY, and I’m sure glad I did. I am an In-N-Out lover but this place sure does give it a run for it’s money. Ordered two double cheeseburgers, order of fries with cheese sauce to share, and a small soda. Everything was delicious. The burgers are simple; topped with lettuce, tomato and shake sauce. Yum. Too bad there isn’t one closer to me. Watched a little of the game and went back to try the frozen custard in a cup with strawberries. It was great. Only downside, everything is pretty expensive and they don’t offer any type of combo meals.

I truly dont get the Shake Shack obsession, I think it just shows how the media can sway peoples opinions because I honestly think Shake Shack is awful. Not just this one but all of them. Burger is greasy, sauce is cloying and roll is nothing special. The burgers are so bad they nearly killed Met first basemen Lucas Duda and Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg. What causes my insane hatred for this particular outlet is that people buy tickets for a baseball game and then spend 2 – 3 inning waiting on a line for an over hyped burger when they can get a burger at Pat lafriedas or Keiths Grill. Better yet get some BBQ from Blue Smoke(I dont have a Danny Meyer hate just a Shake Shack hate) if you just want to eat Shake Shack go to one of the many other ones! Ok my rant is over.

This is a review for the food. Since I had $ 30 in Citi Field credit to use, I decided to blow ALL of it or at least most of it at the Shake Shack. I was at Citi Field the previous night for a game and the line during the game was too long. So my strategy was to wait and use all my credit and get to the park early to avoid the line. I ended up getting the double Shackburger, the High Heat Cheese Dog, and the Meet the Pretz concrete shake. Total: over 2200 calories in one meal and $ 25 of my credits. The burger was just okay. It was cooked well and the meat was juicy but it just tasted so… unhealthy. You might be saying… duh…you’re eating a burger. Perhaps it’s my In N Out burger biased but I think whatever oil they used to cook the burgers with was way greasier than I preferred. The hot dog was pretty decent. It came with a cheese sauce and moderately spicy cherry peppers on top. I ate that roughly midway through the game as the burger really did a number on me. Lastly, I slowly sipped the chocolate covered pretzel shake with black and white custard inside. This whole meal was challenging that I was going between diabetic coma from the concrete versus almost heart attack inducing greasy meal from the burger and hot dog. BUT, I made it through and I can now honestly say that I truly had a taste of the Shake Shack during my stay in NY. I think the concrete and the hot dog that I got was only available at the Citi Field Shake Shack which is awesome. I definitely want to try something else at another more standardized Shake Shack location.

Citi Field Shake Shack is just as good as any other Shake Shack in New York City. I got a single shack, French fries, and vanilla shake. The burger was cooked perfectly just the way I like it. The cheese was just oozing when you bite into it. I was in heaven. Best burger in the world. My French fries just perfect. Shake shack fries are always cooked to perfection. It wasn’t soggy at all. Yummy!!! My vanilla shake was amazing. Right off the blender. Score!!! I would suggest getting shake shack before the game when the lines are not crazy. During the game the lines will get insanely crazy. You may be online for quite a while, so you have been warned. The person who took my order, Brian C. Was really quick with orders and really friendly. Its located behind center field on the field level. Its the only Shake Shack stand in the stadium. Citi Field Shake Shack is one the best foods to eat in citi field.
