No credit card minimum, decent liquor selection, and wine served both room temperature and chilled… this is my go-to place! The only reason I am giving it 3* is because literally EVERY time I go here and buy an 11 – 15 $ bottle of wine, they try and sell me on more expensive stuff. Yes, I know a 40 $ of wine will taste better, but I am not willing to spend that much on a single bottle… sorry. The owners should appreciate my business as a returning customer and not try to up-sell every single time because it’s getting kind of annoying. I know my wine and if they don’t have the cheap riesling I like in stock, I plan on finding another bottle around the same price.

This place overcharged me $ 40. I didn’t realize it until the next day. When I went back to request a correction /refund, the little blonde hipster kid behind the counter grinned at me and told me he couldn’t do anything to help me. Almost like he was enjoying the fact that I got ripped off. I see other reviews saying this place has reasonable prices and good selection, and I wonder if those are fake reviews. This place is the size of a closet and has higher prices than most. I’ve been going there for convenience since it’s the only liquor store on the block, but after this incident I’m just going to walk a few blocks down to Wall Street Wine Merchants. They have much better selection and prices, and the staff aren’t jerks.

Wine here is priced around $ 15+, so if you are expecting something similar to $ 5 wine from Trader Joe’s it probably would be best to just shop at Trader’s. Staff here is helpful and knowledgable on which wines are best suited to the occasion. Sometimes they have wine tasting in the back — once I discovered a new red that I loved. They’re also Amex friendly!

Reasonably priced alcohol in the city. The staff is helpful and nice plus no card minimum like some cheap, tacky establishments in the city. You could definitely spike a slurpee or a coolata, walk around and enjoy your day.

Excellent selection of bourbons, whiskies, and rye. Many small batch and artisanal producers crammed into tight space on Fulton Street. Nice friendly sales staff. I like it. Didn’t check out wine but looks like a decent selection. I keep coming back here. Scored a widow jane bourbon today so I’m happy.

Amazing wine selection and most of them are displayed on their wall as they should be to keep the flavor intact… at least that’s what I learned at a wine shop in Paris. Not so easy to spot what you’re looking for tho, but their circular metal price tags ARE easy to spot. Came here last night looking to purchase box wine because my friend’s birthday gathering was supposed to be outdoors on a rooftop and glass was absolutely forbidden. If course it ended up raining and her party was moved indoors… but alas it was sunny when I was liquor shopping sooooo… I ended up not purchasing anything here because their only boxed wine was $ 48 and to me that’s much too much for a box wine. There was also a representative from Brooklyn Republic vodka doing a tasting — she was super sweet and their vodka is pretty smooth and tasty stuff(which is carried by one of my fave liquor stores in Astoria so I was already familiar with it). Wine selection here is really nicely curated with most bottles being more than I want to spend unless I’m looking to impress. If I’m wine-ing myself as I spend a hot night with Amazon Prime or Netflix then I wouldn’t come here — if you want fancy pants wine and are in FiDi, then this is definitely a great stop.

Came here last night conveniently located Next to baked by Melissa which in itself deserves 1 star for that. But besides that the experience was ‘meh’. Although the décor and setup on the store is nice it is very much over priced especially for spirits. The staff are not knowledgable at all when it comes to wine. I asked for a unoak Pinot noir and the lady working who was dressed in a baggy sweater and baggy jeans suggested me a wine that was infact 100% oak. I didn’t come to fin out that until I got home and tried the wine. She raved about this wine and it tasted like grape juice on a chewy piece of wood. I asked for the opposite of this bit yet somehow walked out with this. I feel like the staff is not knowledgable and pretty much talk like they do know what they are saying. Pro: Next to baked by Melissa, open late Con: unknowlegable staff, overpriced

THREEAND A HALFSTARS. We stumbled across this place new years eve near the financial district. Believe it or not, it was one of the only places we found that was still open, so that is a major Thumbs Up for them. Immediately upon entering the store we were greeted by our own«personal shopper» who walked us to the champagne WALL and explained the ones that were the best bang for our buck without trying to sell us solely on Veuve… I had a chance on my way out to admire the wall o’ wine and the beautiful way they have them all displayed. I would love(if I ever found myself in the area again) to pop in and explore the different selections.

Ethan is the best! This place rocks! Ethan is a life saver and he deserves a huge shout-out just for that! Scene: 11:52 pm Saturday night — I call them up after roaming around the area for a while looking for a Rosé and couldn’t find any. Ethan tells me he has it and they’re closing in 8 minutes. After running over — guess what?! they’re closed! But I signal to him that I was the one who called so they let me in and shows-off the Rosé variety they carried — which they had all items in a chilled option too — YAY! So as far as I can tell — 5 Stars and nothing less.

This is the financial district and these folks at Seaport really know how to cater to the 2% but at the price of the 98%. The shop is sleek but unpretentious. Great selections of wine from smaller producers. So you won’t find mass produced juice like Yellowtail and Barefoot.

Small. Lovely décor. Creatively designed wine wall. Wine selection is inexpensive, no high-end varietals. Decent selection of flavored liquor. Free delivery. Overall: okay, but with so many 5 star wine stores in the neighborhood, I’m not sure how often I will return.

I go here because it is in my neighborhood and useful in a pinch. The wines are overpriced and the staff ignores you. If you ask a question they look at you like you need to leave. They claim to have a $ 15(or $ 20…this is how the woman phrased it…$ 20 or at least $ 15) minimum for credit cards but don’t have that posted anywhere. I pushed back on the policy and she let me use my credit card for a $ 12 purchase. I go in here as infrequently as possible but sometimes it has to happen. Speaking of which, anyone know of other wine shops in the area?
