I’ve come here a few times with friends, and with my dad, who is a huge wine collector/drinker. It’s in a great neighborhood and location that is really easy to get to. Half is a wine store, where you can buy bottles of ones you try(as well as a bagillion other options), and the other half is the restaurant/wine bar(chances are, if you hit the wine bar first, you’ll make your way to the wine store after to pick up wines you’ve tried… good marketing move, Maslow). For starters, the staff is phenomenal. They make recommendations based on your preferences(all reds, please), and are incredibly knowledgeable(I basically know if I like a wine or don’t like it. they know that one has dirt or blackberry undertones, and I just sit and smile/nod), but they’re also not pretentious, which is a rare duality. The food is also great — I’ve always ordered a ton of things and just shared with whoever I’m there with. The cheeses/charcuterie come out on slates, which I aesthetically love, and the prices are good — 5 cheeses for $ 20, which is the perfect wine compliment. The crostini trio is awesome, and the ginger doughnuts are also delicious(quite the recommendation combo, I know). My friends all love the olives, which I am not into, but trust their recommendations. I’ve also gotten the grilled cheese and tomato soup, because I’m 7 years old, and it was delicious(though I think my dad rolled his eyes with every bite I took, while he ate his cheese and meat like a real adult). Overall, it’s a fun place to go with a small or large group to try some new wines, and hang out. Reasonable prices, good food, and the convenience of buying wine from next door once you’re finished!(With bottles that are $ 25-$ 30 as well as others, so it fits lots of budgets, and is a great place to pick up housewarming/host gifts). They also do have a beer list, if you want to go to a fabulous wine bar and be that person — it’s on you.

When you walk through the door on the right hand side is the wine shop where you can buy bottles of different wines and some spirits. on the left hand side is the wine bar, you could order wine buy the glass and get food. there is a glass wall separating the shop and the bar. The décor of this place is kinda dark with candle lights lit on every table. On the wall there are photograph picture by Donna Ferrato. The wine bar is kinda low-key and hidden from the outside world. this place to good for a date, a small private parties and for people that just enjoy wine. Staffs: The bartender is super knowledgeable on wine and can answer all question that you may have. The boss of this place is super chill and nice. The chefs there are knowledgeable on the food they are cooking. Food: The food is awesome, their signature dish that everyone orders is the truffle mac and the meatball wellington. the truffle mac is smooth in texture and also flavorful and well seasoned. i recommended trying the truffle mac and other things on the menu. Overall is place is a gem. they have a good wine selection and staffs are knowledgeable what more can you are for. Amazing place!!!

I used to frequent this place when it was Vino Vino. It was my go to wine bar whenever I wanted to have good conversation with someone I love. The ambiance was always perfect for me: low-key, sort of hidden from the outside world, generally quiet neighborhood, really high ceilings and just a comfortable ambiance in general. I loved Vino Vino tremendously as it was the backdrop to many wonderful nights in NYC. The décor now at Maslow has changed. I liked it much better before when it was Vino Vino, but the heart and soul of the place are still there. The service people here know wine, and, they love it. I really enjoy coming in here and sitting at the bar with a lady friend and just sipping on wine all night, engaging with everyone around me.(bartenders/staff included). They are truly very nice people. Don’t come here alone. This is not really the place for that unless you are not a very shy person and would love some good conversation with the staff. They are funny, down-to-earth and a real delight. The wine selections give you a great opportunity to find some delicious wines you that you may have never had before; and isn’t this what going to a good wine bar should be all about? The opportunity to try something new, and possibly find something fantastic? On a previous night here I ordered the meatballs and glass of wine that they suggest pairing together. Let me give that particular scenario two thumbs up because the wine was paired excellently, in my opinion, with the meatballs. Both items brought out extra flavors in one another, complimenting each other seamlessly. I was hesitant to write a review because I would hate to go back there and not be able to find a seat, as happened once before with Vino Vino, but I had to shout the place and the staff out. It’s just too much of a warm and hidden treasure to selfishly keep to myself. Good luck Maslow 6. I hope that you guys stick around for decades to come.

My husband and I came in here on a Friday night around 8pm. I was really excited as I walked in and immediately saw that this place had a wine shop attached to it but when we arrived at the bar there were only a few patrons and no one there to greet or seat us. After about 5 minutes of waiting(just as we were about to leave) someone from the wine shop came over and told us to head to the back of the bar and the bartender would seat and wait on us. Given that there were only a few other patrons there was plenty of space and the bartender was really nice. We each had a glass a wine and split the hummus plate. While both glasses of wine were good and the hummus place was excellent, it was slow service of course and the ambiance was a little strange. The place was just OK; maybe we caught them on a weird night. I won’t make it a point to go back but if there weren’t any other wine bar options I might try this place again.

I cannot begin to rave enough about Maslow 6. I had my bridal shower here and every single dealing I had with them was easy and terrific. I reached out Keri to book the space and she was always prompt to reply and extremely easygoing while being on top of everything at the same time. Let me breakdown the awesomeness of this place. 1) Such a cute space. The wine bar is attached to the wine store and it has such a nice intimate feel while still bringing the sophistication of a wine bar that knows it’s stuff. It’s in the heart of Tribeca and is the perfect place for either a trendy night out, a low key date night or just a gathering with some good friends and good wine. The décor is adorable and you have to read all the wine quotes and signs. Next door you can buy the wines you taste and bring them home. 2) The wine and the knowledge of the owners and sommeliers is unparalleled. They have such a vast selection of interesting and different wines. We decided to do an around the world wine tasting where I picked different wine regions/countries and Maslow 6 offered multiple choices for each place I picked. Let me tell you, it is not easy to find wines from Croatia in the city but Maslow had plenty to choose from. Not to mention, every single wine we tasted was delicious. I can’t wait to go back and drink these on the regular. Everyone could not stop raving about the wines here. 3) The food was great. Every thing we had for the party was a hit. The truffled mac and cheese even down to the lemon popcorn were delicious. You need to spend a night eating and drinking the right way at Maslow 6. 4) I highly recommend planning a party here as well. The wine tasting and party that Keri and her staff put together was so fun and different and they were able to tailor everything just perfectly. They provided us with personalized tasting notes and a class that worked out better than anything I could have hoped for. Maslow 6 is my new favorite wine bar in the city and they very much earned the title.

I’m sorry Maslow 6, I wanted to like this place… but your fruit flies have got to go! What’s up with that? $ 30 for 2 glasses of wine. barely drank ¼ of my Riesling when all these flies came out of nowhere, then decided to bathe and die in my wine :(hopefully this was a one time incident. maybe next time i’ll sit inside. will update my review when/if I decide to return.

I discovered a really cute Pop Up Coffee Shop in Maslow 6. A coffee shop 7:30 am-5 pm turns into a hip wine bar at night. What a treat. It’s called BOXKITECOFFEE. How to describe it such a treat for breakfast is truly mind twisting. It made me happy to taste all the good things like about coffee and not be disappointed with the unpleasant tastes which coffee sometimes carries, ie bitter aftertaste, or watery. It was as fun as eating ice cream!!! I can’t wait to experience their actual coffee house. It’s going to stir up the neighborhood and all coffee drinkers will be in for a treat. Box Kite Coffee is a must try. My mornings aren’t the same since I’ve had it, they are better!

Stopped in on a rainy weekend afternoon and the place was empty. However, the staff was so friendly and the french onion soup paired with some delicious wine was perfection!

This place is a little gem of a wine bar. If you’re a oenophile, you might find the range of selections of wines by the glass a little narrow but I think the quality of their choices more than makes up for it. We stopped by on a warm weekend afternoon and enjoyed a nice glass of Bourgogne and Riesling while people watching all the beautiful Tribeca types. If you have a hour or two to enjoy the world go by while sipping a nice red, you could do a lot worse.

I don’t really get TriBeca as a neighborhood — but I went to this really awesome little spot recently and would highly recommend it in the neighborhood. Approaching from the north on West Broadway, you think this can’t possibly be where an intimate wine bar and shop is located, but it is. The place isn’t physically intimate the way you would expect a place described as intimate as the ceilings are so high, but the physical space is beautiful with exposed brick walls, a beautiful printed tin ceiling, and awesome art work. The wine shop and bar are in the same physical space with a glass wall separating them. The wine by the glass menu is short — only 1 page front and back, which I appreciate. When the wine was brought out — the waiter brought out the whole bottle for each of the different wines we were drinking at the table and poured the glasses at the table, which I also appreciate as a sign of a quality wine bar. The food list is also short but a great small plates and apps selection. The food did take awhile to arrive, although I didn’t notice too much because I was enjoying my wine and conversation. Finally, the bartender brought over two free glasses of wine at the end of our meal. He said he had two glasses left in a bottle he had opened for a tasting — such a nice gesture! I have the feeling that if I lived in this neighborhood, this could be a place to hang out after work and learn a lot about wine from the staff while casually enjoying good food and wine at the bar. Would definitely recommend this place!

Met up with some girlfriends on a Monday night. Atmosphere is charming and relaxed. Service was phenomenal. Leiti, our server, was amazing — very knowledgeable and lovely to chat with. Food was delicious — hard to decide what to try on their menu — landed on the truffle mac and cheese and the meatball wellington. Perfect comfort food on a cold rainy night. A couple of glasses of delicious wine later and we’ve decided to make this our regular go-to spot.

My husband and I hosted a private birthday party here. Keri was very helpful and responsive to help us plan the event ahead of time. We had a group wine tasting, 3 course seated dinner with pairings, and post open bar for 25 people. Perfect for a private party — service was absolutely excellent, food was delicious, and wine was superb. Perfect ambiance for this size group.

Came here for my friend’s birthday party, and she booked the place after their regular hours ended. I can’t say that I’m a wine connaisseur, but the staff here was very helpful in explaining the different traits and what to taste each for. Highlights: — Of the three whites that I had on the menu, I liked the Gewürztraminer and the Edelzwicker, not so much the White Bordeaux — Bread and cheese platter with marmelade was yummy! — Loved the atmosphere and super friendly staff. Overall: A great place for an intimate meet up and to learn about wines without worrying about condescending staff.

Maslow 6 is all about wine, posted smack on their website. I had a business meeting after work and Maslow 6 was suggested. Its late, I’m hungry and I want to see what’s on the menu. There is no food selection??? And what does this name even mean? Why the«6»? Did they like the movie«Girl 6»? Why have a business meeting in Tribeca? Now I haveta traipse all the way downtown? Dagnabit I’m a SOHO guy! Being there I can throw a rock and hit a coffee house. Add to the fact its raining, I’m not too happy about the evening. When I get to Maslow 6 I’m pleasantly surprised! Nice décor and there are wine bottles everywhere. My kinda place, nice. If I were to open a wine bar, I would want it to look exactly like Maslow 6. Its really charming. Our server was very knowledgeable, many different wine choices by the glass. Along with a generous pour? Makes this one nice after school special. We had a food plate but with everything going on, I didn’t dive into it. So here are my «6» observations: 1– Wine bar 2– Café 3– Wine store 4– Nice chill place 5– Great meat & cheese platter 6– Six stands for sex-ahy I’m a fan, I’ll try to get here when I wanna chill out without the business shpeal.

I ventured here with a friend. I’m the friend that always is making my friends meet me in Tribeca or the West Vill so we are somewhat near the PATH train but, when I found this place I was authentically wanting to go here. Half wine bar/restaurant and half wine store, retail style. Really great ambiance and right away we were seated. Definitely a super cool spot. Recently opened, this place has yet to have a full fledge following. But, winos beware, this place will be on the list of places one must visit for an unusual and delicious glass of wine. Service was phenomenal. You must know about wines to work here. There was even a rep on hand to come and chat about said wine. The wines are unique, tasty albeit a wee bit expensive but to be expected for the neighborhood with prices ranging from $ 11 — $ 19 on our bill. Though I can be known as a lush, I definitely consumed some tasty food. The charcuterie plate was amazing. A nice variety of cheeses and meats with an amazing in house blueberry jam. The bread was free flowing and fresh though, not much of a fan of raisin bread with cheeses and meats. The meatball wellington was a great and unique dish with 3 fairly large meatballs encased in a delicious puff pastry. I wish the meatballs had a slight more kick to it to contrast the sweet puff pastry but, they were delicious and with a nice glass of red really complimented the dish. The lowlight of the meal was the truffle mac n’ cheese for me. My friend enjoyed it and did say it could use a little more salt, I thought it could use a little more flavor of some sort. The dish lacked a huge robust flavor and personally, when I order mac n’ cheese especially with truffles, I’m expecting flavorgasms in my mouth. This dish was subtle which, isn’t a bad thing, just not my preference. I was happy with the food value thinking the price was extremely reasonable for amount, quality and taste, which ultimately makes me super happy about my experience at Maslow. I really enjoyed our few hours here talking over wine, about wine and enjoying some bites. I“ll most definitely be back to enjoy more.

Great, well-curated selection in all price ranges in a small shop with a great staff. I needed a bottle to bring to a BYOB restaurant, and since it was just me, I didn’t want to spend a lot, knowing I’d leave ½ of it in the bottle(yeah, I could’ve drank it all, but…) The guy working there was friendly, engaging, not pushy, and respectful of my price range. I wish the bigger wine stores were like this! There appeared to be a bottle or two out to taste and some sort of wine bar next door, but I didn’t have the time to try either.

Just a lovely little wine shop, that has a fantastic selection across price points. They also host various wine classes hosted by some well known sommeliers. The classes are great causal and informative and you get to taste a nice selection of wines. The staff is always friendly and helpful. This is a great place and once you are done browsing you can go relax in the wine bar that wraps around the store.

I came here for a wine class(about German wines, specifically). The staff was incredibly friendly, but in a very sincere way – not that fake friendly that’s so annoying. They instantly make you feel welcome and comfortable. The whole atmosphere of the shop is really nice, actually. Much more so than with any other wine shop I’ve been to. The class itself was very interesting, though I think it was a bit over my head, given my experience level. The teacher very clearly knew his stuff, and I definitely walked away with a whole new appreciation for the effect that Soil has on the resulting wine. And a newfound appreciation for German pinot noirs! :-)

Great little wine shop with a very nice owner. Good selection for people who don’t want to spend an arm and a leg on a bottle of wine. And if you’re lucky they sometimes have tastings, so you can sample before you buy.
