I found the store a few months ago and I have to say it was one of the best shopping experiences I have ever had. The owner Sonia, was so down to earth, sweet and neatly packaged my items for me in colorful paper and even gave me free gifts. The shop was beautiful and very welcoming, a shame it’s not around anymore.

I must agree with all the reviews on the proprietor of Scenter, a truly sweet spirit she is.
I was always sure to make a stop in the store even to enjoy whatever choice of incense she was burning on that day. Let’s not forget the trinket appliques applied to each wrapped package.
I was very disappointed when I last visited earlier this month to have found the store was replaced by a restaurant. I was not sure where I would have bought sage smudge sticks or one of the best incense selections to burn at the start of spring. Let’s hope she is able to find herself a new location soon.

Edit: Sorry to say this place closed in Feb 2014 :(. Such a loss.
This place is so cute! It’s not big but the amount of stock amd variety of incense, holders, and other items she carries is amazing. The owner is also such a sweet woman who seems to remember even the most minute details of conversations she’s had with you no matter how long ago you last came in. She’s also truly passionate about the products she sells. She will open packages to let you smell things to make sure it’s exactly what you want and the first time I came in knowing I was new to incense she showed me how to burn it. I have been back since my first visit and am also so impressed that it does not matter if you’re buying a gift or just for yourself she wraps everything beautifully in twine and tissue paper making it extra special.
Truly cannot say enough good things about this place. It’s truly a new favorite of mine.

thanks to Unilocal reviews I found my way to this little candle shop yesterday. I was giving a birthday party for a friend and I wanted to fill my apartment with candles.
What a great place, and Sonia, as the reviews mentioned, is an angel. The store’s inventory of candles, scented and unscented, is amazing. I bought pillars, tapers and candle holders in all colors and sizes and at very fair prices. Sonia was a huge help and a delight. She sent me home very happy and the party was a glory of candlelight.

Can’t say enough about this store or its owner! My friend and I stumbled up on it one day and decided to go in. I had smelled a particular incense at a 5K charity event that I fell in love with, but didn’t know the name of… I was on a quest! ;) As soon as we walked in, I fell in love with the place. It smells gloriously and is so beautifully organized. The owner welcomed us and assisted us tirelessly through my search for that incense. We didn’t find it that day, but promised we’d come back.
Fast forward, 8 months later, we stumbled upon it again. As soon as I walked in, the owner remembered me! She told me she’d been searching the whole time for the scent I was looking for! How amazing! This time, she lit about a dozen different sticks for me, wasting her merchandise to find me that scent. She is SO considerate and dedicated to her craft. I felt so bad that I purchased a bunch of other incenses that I ended up loving and she even gave me a few samples of others she had laying around. She wraps everything with such care. Gorgeous brightly colored tissue paper and twine.
It’s such a joy to shop there!

Really great selection of candles that put Yankee Candle to shame. The lady who works there is really sweet and even gave my friend and I a free sample of incense to try at home. I’m a candle junkie so I’ll be back to buy some.
