Nasty attitudes from the older latino man and fat short nappy headed latina "woman" who looked illegal. They refused to give me salad dressing in the packet with my Ceasar salad. The short fat nappy headed latina wanted to give me a open cup of some random dressing and I refused it and I took the salad, after their sheer disrespect, and flipped it all over the counter. They are gone now and I am so happy they went out of business because they did not respect their customers. The place was a hell hole and smelled of hot whore azz.

I had lunch at this Sbarros yesterday. Generally I am a pasta kind of girl but I didn’t have much time as I had to get back to the office so I just had a slice of pizza. I had classic cheese which was good. The moment I walked in I was greeted by the person behind the counter, he was very friendly and helpful. I have never been to a sbarros that was this large. There was a lot of seating and the entire place was clean. They had a buffet section for hot and cold meals which was really well priced, they offer a $ 6 combo and for NYC that’s s great deal. They accept cards and cash and their cash register is not bear the food so you don’t have to wait in line or wait for someone else to finish ordering so that you can pay and leave. I will be going back here to try out their combo lunch specials very soon.

Well coming into sbarros I had low expectations. I have no idea why I would go to sbarros in new York, one of the culinary capitols of the world. But it was probably one of the worst experiences I have had at a restaurant. I don’t want to waste your time talking about how crappy the food was, I think everyone knows sbarros is Italian dog food. The workers didn’t know what peppers were.(they brought me cheese) all of this did not shock me. But what did was the horrendous customer service. I had prepaid for my ice cream and the waitress would not give me my order. She had claimed that I had already received it. Confusing me for another black male in the restaurant. I am very offended by sbarros practices. Their workers are discriminatory and racist. They would not serve me what I ordered. And on top of that would not refill my drink while having a soda refill policy. I then asked my white friend to go refill his drink and the employee gladly refilled his drink. I have never experienced this type of rudeness. I thought racial profiling was less prevalent in new york but I learned to always be prepared to be faced with racist people everywhere. I would highly recommend to not have your next meal at sbarros. Supporting this company and their workers will help continue their racist practices.

Those beady eyed illegal aliens are ass kissers and kiss the wyt supremecist ass to try to feel better. They are nothing more than street hustlers from a third world island that supports prostitution.

I used to love Sbarro. Their baked ziti was the best! And so, years later, I was delighted to see that their baked ziti was still great. I also enjoyed the veggies, bread sticks, and quick tastes I got of pizza. What wasn’t as great was everything outside of the food. First, the server really fought me on ziti and two veggies. I got the combo plate, which comes with one meat and two non-meats. When I didn’t choose a meat at all, he kept trying to get me to order a meat. When I just wanted ziti as the main and then two sides of veggies(tomato and cucumber salad), he kept urging me toward potatoes. I didn’t really understand why he was invested in me choosing certain dishes. When we got to the register, one of our orders came with a small soda. But, they were out of small soda cups. They only had large soda cups. But the order didn’t come with a large soda, it came with a small soda. This is not a big problem, you’d think. But no. Instead of giving us a large soda for free or just filling up a large cup half-way, they insisted on charging us 50 cents for a large soda. That felt very unfair. I used the bathroom at some point and found the floor uncomfortably slippery. When the door to the entire bathroom was wedged pretty tightly into its frame, and I was sliding all over the floor, a slapstick comedy nearly ensued as I tried to get the door open while slipping around all over the place. With all of that said, again, great food.

Biggest Sbarros I have been in. It was fine– very busy– but staff were working hard, wait times were short, and the place was sanitary/being aggressively cleaned by the staff. This said, Sbarros is the McDonalds of pizza, so it is what it is. I prefer their thick crust, but you can never go too right or too wrong when you go to Sbarro’s, as long as you understand what you are getting into from the onset. Serves a quick/cheap purpose and I would return(but 1 – 2 Sbarro experiences each year is enough!).

I tend not to curse at restaurant employees. In Sbarro it happened twice. 1) I got to the register and they rang up my plain slice: $ 3.80: «What the fuck? Seriously?» 2) I waited for my slice, watched the guy who was handling the food scrape gunk out of a crack in the counter with the edge of spatula, then get my slice out of the oven with the same spatula: «Did you really just dig dirt out of that crack with the spatula and then touch my pizza with it? That’s fucked up.» ’nuff said.

Avoid it. Low-quality, over-priced food. Much better pizza places nearby.

I was hungry and wanted to grab a quick bite, so I came here and ordered a Peperoni slice. And they had the balls the charge $ 4.50 for one slice. Ridiculously outrageous!!! The slice was a little hard and didn’t taste all that great. It’s not the best pizza I’ve ever had, but definitely the most expensive. There’s no way I am coming back here.

Haven’t been to many Sbarro, this location is right smack in the middle of 5th Avenue, next to Rockefeller Center so lots of tourists will drop in for a quick bite. Food is not bad, prices and service are ok. Had the spaghetti & meatballs and they tasted pretty good. :o)

If you are from the hinterlands, Sbarro in NYC has some good and bad points. Pricewise, it is similar to what you would pay for Sbarro at your local mall. At the mall Sbarro seems pricey(although it is one of the only places out of the Northeast to get the NYC ubiquitous Poland Spring). In NYC, with a group, Sbarro is a deal, pricewise. The ones in NYC have beer and non-Italian entrees(Chicken Francese) that don’t exist at the mall.
