Robert H Rubman MD

Let me start off by saying Dr Rubman is the best optomologist doctor out there! He is thorough, knowledgable, friendly, kind and compassionate. I have been a patient of Dr Rubman for a long time and his mannerisms and knowledge never seems to falter! He is amazing! The reason for my 4 star rating instead of 5 is simply because of the office manager. She is not friendly at all, always seems bothered and annoyed, extremely controlling and righteous! And to boot, never ever ever smiles! I wouldn’t ever stop going to Dr Rubman because of her disservice to the practice. After all, he is the doctor but it sure is nice to walk into a doctor’s office, especially if u need surgery on your ONE AND ONLY set of eyes, and be greeted Any human being would like to feel comforted with a friendly gesture, comment or at the very least… a smile!

Although my marriage didn’t last, one of the best presents my ex-​husband gave me was my introduction to Dr. Rubman. I LOVE him!
Dr. Rubman is truly an opthalmologist’s opthalmologist. A Yale grad who interned at Bellevue and was a resident at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat (years ago — he’s 60+), he is widely considered to be a national expert in laser eye surgery (he helped companies do much of the initial testing for early procedures and also trained other eye doctors nationally in the techniques).
His office is fully-​loaded with all of the high technology gadgets that you’d find at a larger, hospital-​based operation, which is convenient.
I love his affable bedside manner, too. He’s passionate about opthalmology and the latest techniques and practices for maximum eye health — and you don’t have to wait a gazillion years to get an appointment, either.
