Sam is the best! Have been coming here for years and he is incredibly helpful! He has caught an error where two medicines would have reacted badly together that my doctor didn’t catch. Always helpful, always efficient — a MUCH better choice than RiteAid, CVS, or Duane Reade. Support our local business!

Sam is the best. I, unfortunately, take a number of medications and I’m always getting new ones or changes to the old. He lets me know if they should not be taken together or if there is something that could cause me problems. He knows when items need to be refilled and calls the doctor’s offices to get the refills and has them delivered to my doorman without me even asking. It’s a real old fashioned mom and pop type place and all the employees are very helpful. It’s not the huge, can’t find anything, too bright and noisy, big «department store» type place. They stock necessary everyday household needs, eliminating the need to schlep all over the neighborhood, and their prices are fair and reasonable. This is the way things used to, and still should, be… helpful, homey and caring. You feel like a member of the family. They are closed on Saturday but open Sunday. Everyone needs a day of rest. However, it’s the only place I know of that you can call, leave a message and Sam will take care of your request and call you back the next day. He goes way above and beyond. Try to get one of those huge stores to do that. ALSO… they quit selling cigarettes way before anyone else did… like eight or so years ago. Stop in and see for yourself. Just say, Sam, Alice sent me!

Very solid service. The store is a little run-​down but they have all the stuff a drug store should have, and their prices are quite good. Where the place really shines, though, is with Sam the pharmacist. He’s always extremely helpful and polite. I’ve never had a problem getting what I or my family needs. It gives you the feeling of going to a small town pharmacist who knows your name (and he does remember my name!).

Had been going here for 6+ years. Good service and good products. However, one day the pharmacist told me he couldn’t fill my doctor’s prescription anymore. He would give no other info. As i needed my meds and have been going here for so long, i was forced to visit multiple pharmacies and ended up paying cash for them. I checked online as i was afraid my doc was suspended or being investigated. Found no such info. Just filled my last prescription at a walgreen. Left a bad taste in my mouth.

Rite Way has been my family’s pharmacy over 20 years. I have left NYC but my family is still here and it is such a comfort having a pharmacist that cares about his customers. Sam is always helpful and courteous.
The other poster was right-​its got good prices even better than the nearby CVS’ and Duane Reade. They even deliver A true neighborhood gem.

I’m really surprised this neighborhood drugstore doesn’t have any reviews. The pharmacist and staff are helpful and friendly, and their prices are EXCELLENT. No, you won’t find any fancy beauty products or makeup here, but for toothpaste and vitamins and other basics they’re terrific – dollars cheaper than DR or CVS…
One annoyance – they are closed on Saturday but open on Sunday. They also close at 7 on weekdays.
