Ricardo Steak House

Went for my birthday dinner yesterday. The food was phenomenal. Everything was made and cooked to perfection from the passion fruit mojitos to the salad starter on menu II, the apps were great, and my entrée filet mignon with roasted potatoes and spinach were amazing. Definitely will be back!

Food is good, low key and calm atmosphere. Service is outstanding.

I really enjoy this place. I’ve been here twice the first time was AMAZING, I ordered the skirt steak and substituted the sides for pasta Alfredo. It was amazing, the portions were generous, I had enough for leftovers, it tasted even better the next day. They have a great selection of drinks and top 40 music.
I came back two weeks ago and I was very disappointed with the food and service. I ordered the exact same thing. The pasta was too saucy, however the steak didn’t disappoint. I asked for a passion fruit cocktail and received passion fruit juice. I asked the waitress if it contained alcohol she said «it should». I asked for it to be remade, and a different young lady came back with my drink and she had no idea what it was and didn’t speak any English at all. The drink still didn’t contain alcohol so they gave me a shot to add. Poor poor poor. And then I ordered the lava cake for dessert and the cake was very dry and it wasn’t filled. Asked for the check and got someone else’s check and was told its busy and mistakes happen.
I am giving them 4 stars because of my previous experience. I know they have potential to be great. I hope that they can get things in order because I would like to
Come back and have the same experience as the first time.

Service, drinks, appetizers were great but I was looking forward to my ny strip. Very disappointed. Medium well is too well done. Steak was dry and hard. Tasted like it was from frozen. For the amount Richardo charges for a ny strip, it’s disappointing. My friend ordered her rib eye medium, but couldn’t eat it because it was more well done than my ny strip. This was my second time here. I wouldn’t recommend it if you want to have good food. If you want to have fun on your birthday, this is the place to be.

Came here for brunch on a Sunday and enjoyed the food and element. Bottomless mimosas were a great option as well. Good size portions and the servers provided great service too.

Cool ambiance with great music. This place is good for taking someone on a second or third date. Definitely not the best steak I have had but it was pretty amazing considering the price. 16oz Ribeye for only $ 36 is unheard of in NYC. I ordered my usual Medium Rare + but it came out as a Medium Rare so I sent it back so they could just make it a Medium instead. Only very seasoned chefs at very high end restaurants can get a Medium Rare+ just right, so I am definitely not faulting them for it. I was very content with my Medium!

First Off The Staff here is so freaking Rude! The Bartender is a Royal Bitch! She’s not plaesant at All. She Needs to take A Starbucks Training. After I was served the wrong plate she shouts at the waiter that he should of notified her before serving me! Then after I ate I was told that The Manager ask if my guests and I could lower our tone. We were sitting at the Bar. Since when… do you have to be quiet at a Bar? Not to mention you have music playing and a group of 5 to 6 Women talking at once. Of course the volume will rise! We were not satisfied with being told to be quiet after taking our Money. For the prices that they’re charging and for The C Rating in the Corner of the Establishment so the Customers cannot see. I think I can spend my money somewhere else and will be treated with much more respect. Bye Ricardo’s!!!

Note to Ricardo’s Management: Keep Chiarra around. She cares about the manner in which this establishment is publicized and portrayed and her desire to improve in service is something that deserves recognition.
So, I ventured back to Ricardo’s this Evening for a second round. This time, we were seated in the back patio area which, for me, was MUCH more comfortable and open. We started with a mango and passion fruit Mojito, both very tasty.
Appetizer we tried the shrimp sautéed with garlic and white wine. It came with a mixed greens salad that was simple but good — light in flavors but tasty enough that you didn’t feel like you were eating just a plain salad.
Main courses — I switched up and did the porterhouse for one with a side of mash and the mister did the NY Strip with mash and garlic spinach. I requested medium instead of my usual medium rare, but surprisingly it came out as the perfect balance between the two. And this time, FLAVORFUL!!! Not overpowering in spices, simply just salt, pepper and butter. Great sear and color on the outside and verrrrry tender inside. I finished the entire 24 ounce myself… Don’t judge me, I’m weight lifting and this was my cheat meal.
Desserts we tried the flan and cheesecake, both of which were yummy.
Better than the food was the service. Our waiter who’s name I forget was very attentive, but to be honest I feel like we had 4 or 5 people tending to us and making sure all was well.
If this is what Ricardo’s is really about, I’m all for it.

Great experience at Ricardo’s for my birthday brunch. The staff was kind and attentive. I for some reason had a reaction to the shrimp in my shrimp and grits and I asked the waiter for some milk and he was understanding and fast he also was kind enough to asked me what other entrée I would prefer. We also took advantage of the $ 25 for unlimited Bellini or mimosas for 2 hours with the purchase of an entrée. They also brought out a delicious complimentary brownie Sunday desert with a sparkling candle over to our table to sing happy birthday. Needless to say I will be back and recommend Ricardo’s for a delicious meal.

5 Star Service From Cornelius. Food Is Delicious Ambiance Alittle Loud But What You Expect From A Steak House… Will Come Back… Hopefully Cornelius Will Be Our Server Again!!!

Now I have always been a fan of Ricardo’s however today was not there. First I called ahead to see if there was a wait for four people since I was outside of the restaurant and it’s a small space so there isn’t much waiting room. The lady says it’s no wait, so we walk in. Now I get excited about being in Ricardo’s where it is almost EMPTY. The waitress tells me there is a hour and a half wait. Its almost like she didn’t want us to stay. We stayed and were seated in twenty minutes… When I sit down and look at my water there is a BUG!!! I was so disturbed but decided not to make a scene. You think they would apologize NOPE … So the food was the usual pretty good. I closed my tab but then my mom decides that she want dessert. I ordered two desserts of the menu. As I’m paying the tab for the two desserts. The hostess comes over and says did you guys pay yet… we were confused like we are paying now she says because we have some shots at the bar for you guys if you wanna move to the bar… We told her we don’t need to move to the bar miss she is like are you sure.
1. It is rude that your coming to my table to ask me to move when the restaurant is empty damn near and there are tables available
2. Your offering us shots when we are at a table with children and we didn’t even order drinks to begin with.
3. There was a bug in my glass and you did nothing about it !!!

Atmosphere is great, would suggest to make reservations since it’s always packed! Food is amazing, ordered the drink named crashboat it tastes good but strong!

I’ve been to Ricardo’s many times and they always deliver. The food, the drinks, service, and music are all really great here. But for me, it’s always about the food.
Complimentary garlic bread: On point — crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside.
Sopa de mussels: They weren’t that special but the broth made for a great dipping sauce with the bread
Skirt steak: Crazy tender and juicy — didn’t need a knife, I ate it like a heathen.
String beans: They were green.
I’ll be back, Ricardo. Keep it up.

They ran out of both my first choice of wine, and my second. Okay. I maybe they had a busy Tuesday.
Then, the bartender starts filling glasses with ice by dunking her glasses into the ice well — MAJOR HEALTH CODE VIOLATION. WHAT IF THE GLASSES CHIPPED IN THE ICE!!!
One peek into the fridge behind the «bar»… Total Disaster. The restaurant hides the fact that they have had a C health inspection rating since DECEMBER, but they have clear doors on the refrigerator in the bar. AND ITS A STICKY, DISGUSTING MESS.
Then, the hostess comes to let us know that our table was ready. We told her that we decided to eat somewhere else after learning of the 41 health violations that this place had. She laughed in my face. The joke’s on you guys… Great food reviews from people that wouldn’t mind a case of botulism.

I went out to this place only because my family dragged me! And to say that I’m more then happy they did would be an understatement. I loved that i could see the food being prepared right in front of me. The sampler was amazing. It’s pretty pricey but when you aren’t paying getting all you want isn’t s big deal

Beautiful Décor and friendly and effecient service are all within this cute restaurant located on the upper east side/​harlem area of Manhattan. I am here for brunch where they have a wide selection of dishes ranging from buttermilk fried chicken tenders with pancakes, crab cakes with eggs, shrimp bangers with mashed potatoes etc… I am taking full advantage of their unlimited mimosas and Bellini deal for 20 dollars! This place plays great r+b music and has wonderful ambiance.

Love this place! It had a very upbeat back atmosphere. There was a lot of eye candy there this particular day. I was visiting from Philly, so I’m not sure if that is an everyday occurrence. We had sangrias at the bar while we waiting for our table to become available. Very good. The music being played was 90’s R&B and hip hop. While a great music choice, there were times the music felt a tad bit loud. It could’ve been where were seated. Love the picture of the Notorious B.I.G. in the dining room. I had ‘The Mario’…Ribeye steak with a lobster tail, shrimp and sautéd spinach. Delish! There were quite a few other good looking options on the menu. The service was great, actually I felt like they went above and beyond. I can’t wait to go back.

I heard about this place when searching for a restaurant to celebrate my birthday. Though I didn’t end up coming here, I made it a point to get here ASAP! Described in an article I read as one of «the most turnt restaurants in NYC», it certainly lived up to the hype!!!
I came in a Saturday around 10:30. The hostess told us (party of 2) there would be a 45 – 60 minute wait. We attempted to make our way to the bar, but before we could we were grabbed and seated.
If you’re a hip hop head who loves Harlem and a good steak, you will love this place.
I had 2 drinks –strong and delicious. Not even pricey compared to other restaurants in NYC.
I ordered the rib eye medium. It was cooked perfectly and the green beans were SO good.
Any review that you’ve read probably mentions the garlic bread and that’s for a reason. It’s delicious!
There was a DJ spinning the latest hits and some throwbacks as well. Each time a person was celebrating their birthday he played «In Da Club» and «Say Ahh».
My ONLY complaint about this place is how packed it was. When being seated I literally felt as if I was walking through a club. The tables are all very close to each other. So close you’re a part of other people’s conversations. I get that there’s a demand that the business is trying to meet. I just wish my comfort wasn’t sacrificed for it.
Other than that I LOVE it! I can not wait to go back!

I went to Ricardo’s as part of my week long birthday celebration the food was great and the Peach Sangria was excellent. I ordered the Salmon and Asparagus It was delicious. The sauce that topped the Salmon was very flavorful. I started out with Fried Calamari which is my signature appetizer. I suggest making a reservation because the place is small and seems to be a go to spot on a Friday night. Thats being said the wait is fairly lengthy. The music slightly loud in the mist of several other social gatherings. Many December Birthday were being celebrated. I did not try the steak but I hear its good there!

Get the crash boat… Like a long island ice tea but way better.
The pinky swear was good but a little too sweet.
I had the skirt steak with veggies and mashed potatoes. So much food! I couldn’t finish but it was awesome.
My DC’s got Ricardo’s special platter and the mixed grill. These two dishes were even bigger and definitely the winning dishes, with the plantains in the special platter and the chorizo in the mixed grill. I’m told the pork chops were excellent as well.
DJ was great! Place was packed on a Thursday even early.
Harlem nights.

Das Ricardo liegt in Harlem und damit abseits der Touristenströme. Abends ist es trotzdem brechend voll.
Serviert werden klassische Steaks in allen Variationen. Das Porterhouse ist jeden Umweg wert.
Der Service ist sehr freundlich und erfüllt gerne Sonderwünsche. Die Preise sind durchaus angemessen.

Un très bon plan lorsqu’on habite à Harlem ou dans l’upper east side! Il n’existe pas beaucoup de petits restos sympas dans ce coin et trouver la perle rare est bien difficile. Un délicieux steak house avec de la viande de bœuf argentine, toutes les pièces vous sont proposées à tous les prix! Une qualité de viande incroyable! En plus d’être bon, le décor exotique est très chaleureux, plutôt calme et intimiste! Que demander de mieux dans l’upper east side lorsque l’on a pas envie de descendre dowtown qui parait le bout du monde! Je recommande plus que fortement !
