I had a pleasant brunch meal here, I was craving eggs Benedict all day Saturday, so that’s what I ordered here. It’s quite inexpensive too $ 12.95 for any of the bunch menu items, with one drink and one coffee or tea. The waitress was nice and helpful, and kept refilling my water every 40 sec lol. The food was good and I wasn’t expecting the home fries that came with it so no complaint. The mimosa was zest, my first time having one and I wanted more. I will be here next week… I must try the 3 egg omellett with bacon.

Me and my co-workers ordered lunch from Ottomanelli’s and were very disappointed with most of the order. We ordered two Wisonsin Burgers and although the burgers were made with good quality meat, the presentation was not what we expected for a burger that costs 12.00. The bacon was barely cooked and seemed to thrown on top of the burger without care. The Chili was not pleasing at all, in fact it was thrown away along with the so called garlic bread. Maybe the people from Wisconsin like their bacon raw… not New Yorkers!

We came here as a party of four plus a toddler after the Cooper Hewitt. There was no one in there at 2pm on a Saturday but we were treated like it was bustling and so very busy. The waitstaff were rude at first(gave us an attitude because of having a baby + stroller) and seemed annoyed we were there. The food was so-so. The burger was pre made and not very juicy. Bun was dry. House salad was okay but a piece of the endive was covered in fuzz(mold?). My appetizer was also pretty dry(mozzarella carozza). By the way: my kiddo didn’t even make a peep while we were there so they can’t say we were loud or made a mess! I wouldn’t return because the food wasn’t good and the service was poor.

I work in Manhattan and if I’m in the area I always stop in for lunch. Great burger sandwich place, although I have eaten dinner there. lunch spot I’ve been here at least 5 times and lunch specials are a great value.

I’ve since warmed more to Ottomanelli, a reliable and unpretentious neighborhood spot. The burgers are always tasty, and I recently ventured to try a pasta dish(spaghetti fra diavolo, w/seafood) and it was delicious.

Service was great. Chicken, not so much. Rubbery and unsettling. Good sized portions, but… maybe not again.

Old school classic New York spot. You may have heard of the name from it being a long time local butcher but the food here is fresh and that same quality as what you would expect. It’s a casual date spot, not too fancy but hits the spot. It’s also never too busy so a great place for a larger group as well. You can make a reservation for the larger parties and they are accommodating and friendly if the number changes when you arrive. The prices are very reasonable especially for the area. The quality of the burger cooked perfectly to your liking, it is quite a treat. The pasta is also done nicely here with your classic red sauce or my favorite linguine with clam sauce. The food is hearty and classic. This is the New York of yesterday.

Disappointed with my first take out order here. After traveling for the weekend, we got home and were really hungry. We ordered from Ottomanellis right away and the food came right within the promised timeframe. That was a plus. Went to dig in and found that I had been sent chicken parm when I ordered eggplant parm. I called the restaurant to let them know, and the woman who answered said she would send one right over(and to make sure to return the wrong order). Ok, that’s fine. If they would have just sent it I probably would have brushed this whole thing off and been fine. Yet, 10 minutes later, I get a call from her saying that she spoke to the kitchen and they said that«chicken and eggplant parm look a lot alike, and am I really sure it’s wrong?» At that point the sheer insulting tone and question annoyed me enough to tell the lady to just forget it. I had eaten half of my boyfriends meal anyways and wasn’t waiting another 10 – 15 minutes to eat. All in all, it’s really insulting that the kitchen would try to blame the customer when they made the mistake. It was also ridiculous that this woman would have the audacity to call me back and ask me if I knew the difference between a poultry and a vegetable. Will not order here again.

I have been here several times. I love their burgers(medium rare). It comes with waffle fries, which are also delicious. Other favorites of mine are: Fusilli Mozzarella(roasted eggplant, mushrooms & fresh mozzarella in a plum tomato sauce), but this dish was not consistent and Grilled Lamb Chops(super delicious).

The name is known across NYC… the service, food and everything else, doesnt match the fame attached to it. The fried calamari is not FRESH nor cooked properly. That’s one of my «go to» apps, and on the real, even the non-English speaking monster who I was with, knew that was not a palatable plate of calamari. The servers either have to lose weight, become a lil’ more coordinated, take dance classes or they should create a tad more space between tables, because I was bumped into every 6 – 8 minutes. On the real! Had an entrée with spinach and there is no doubt in my mind. the spinach either come from a can or was frozen. You can taste it. Again, the $ 5 tram I was with that I wanted to put food into before our passionate evening even knew this food was an abomination. You know what was good? The coffee. I had 4 cups. FOUR! FOUR!!! Only because I needed the caffeine for what was ahead. PASSION, BABY!

Dined here last night since we were at an event at the 92nd Street Y and this was the most covenient spot. The food was ok but the tables were so cramped that every time a server passed behind my she bumped into my chair. It got very annoying.

LETMETELLYOUTHISPLACEIS A RAREGEMINTHEWORLDOFEXPENSIVE-BURGER-SEMI-DECENT-FRIES-WORLD. The place is what some would call«cute» or «cozy» or «quaint» and by that I mean not so big but big enough and kinda fancyish-nicer looking even though you could walk in wearing ripped jeans and a dirty wife beater(the«fine dining days» are over, man). We sat right by the window where the tables are high up so we could see everyone walk by and feel superior. An added bonus, of course. The wine we had here was GOOD, that is if you like the kinda wine I like which is wine that tastes good to me. BUT I will say I was with a friend who KNOWS wine like she works in the WINEBIZ and she was like, «this wine is good» so… she knows(and therefore I know, too). Our burgers were HUGE and came with WAFFLEFRIES!!! WAFFLEFRIES, PEOPLE! The GOOD kind of fry that is massively under appreciated and therefore under served! And it was like 8.75 for a MASSIVE burger and WAFFLEFRIES! And the wine was good! And it’s «cute». And it’s fancy-ish but also doesn’t have to be, ya know? You can dress it down or whatever, ya know? Let me tell you fellow Unilocal-readers, this place. I had a great experience at this place. Just ask me.

Got a great burger takeout from here… both the burger and fries were delicious :) haven’t eaten AT the restaurant yet but from what I saw when I picked up my food, it’s adorable. Kind of romantic because it’s small and has low lighting. Seems to get an older crowd. Good menu!

I went here last Summer with my sister with the hope of having a nice Sunday brunch experience in the Upper East Side. How was the food? Pretty good. They also had a good mimosa deal if I recall, but my sister was underage so we didn’t get any. All in all, it was pretty normal breakfast/brunch food, and whatever we ordered didn’t stand out that much. But the plus(or minus, depending on how you look at it) was that there was no wait to get seated, but the restaurant was also pretty much empty which makes me feel uneasy. Not sure if we came at a weird eating time, or they are just unpopular. Overall, I liked it more than Sarabeth’s for brunch because Sarabeth’s was a lot more expensive for similar food.

Giving this place one star is generous. The service is terrible. There was nobody in the restaurant, and rather than come take our order the server cleared the one table who just left. Food comes out, eggs Benedict is just passable, the turkey burger(which we ordered just to try the cranberry ketchup) did not come with cranberry ketchup. We asked for it, the server brought it right out. So, if it’s in house, and comes with the meal, why did we have to ask for it? Bottom line, keep walking. Server never bothered asking how our meal was either. Server disappeared at some point. She was either eating with other girls or nowhere to be found. Had to ask for our bill because nobody noticed we were obviously done.

Horrible experience. Maybe it was a fluke but I couldn’t not Unilocal about it. I’m there for a bite before a show at 92Y(which I’m sure they get a lot of); order fried calamari and a garden salad. My sister joins a bit later – they were super nice and accommodating about that, but honestly I’m not sure who was our waitress. I think maybe the hostess took our order. Here we go: 1. My water had a floating thingy in it. 2. My sister sat with soup for about 5 minutes with no spoon. 3. My salad came undressed. No one had asked me about dressing. Once I asked about it, and realized she was going to bring it out for me to wrestle onto a small plate, I asked her to toss it. Salad ended up delicious. 4.ANDTHISWASTHEBIGGESTPROBLEM – Fried calamari was so rubbery it was inedible. I sent it back. She(waitress? hostess?) came back several minutes later asking again if I wanted something else – I didn’t. I asked if it was fresh or frozen; she assured me it was fresh. It didn’t taste fishy, so I asked her to have them make it again, just to have them cook it for a lot less time. She kept arguing with me, saying they didn’t want to do that. So there was the bad calamari and the bad arguing. When she finally brought the new plate(which had two sauces instead of one, so was my original order missing a sauce?) it was better. Still a little rubbery, but a lot better. So between waiting for my salad to be dressed and the calamari fiasco, this most simple order in the universe took like 25 minutes. This was a dance of ineptitude.

I just placed a delivery order for the 1st time. Wish I knew about his place before. The person the phone was very nice and polite. I ordered the spaghetti bolognese and it was the best I’ve ever had. I have been to high end Italian and it didn’t even come close to this spaghetti bolognese. Fast delivery and delicious food. I really hope they keep up the good work.

HORRIBLE… Had been craving steak and had not had one from here in a while. I stopped in and ordered a VERYRARE Hanger Steak… OMG got home and TRIED to cut it… SO tough, over cooked and what used to be awesome smashed potatos and fresh veggies had now changed to inedible crap. What a terrible waste of time and money. This place USED to be awesome… Never again.

You are not going to come here & have the best meal of your life. VERYMEDIORE. I was CRAVING steak & potatoes. I saw the picture of the Tuscan steak when I was flipping through the photos on Unilocal and it looked BOMB. Spinach was frozen. It had to be. I make fresh spinach sautéed in garlic & oil and it never tastes like that. Steak was EH. FATTY as hell. Potatoes on the other hand were great — but how can you really screw up a potato? I ate half and the other half for lunch today, so it wasn’t inedible, I just would not return to this place for the food. Maybe i’ll give brunch a shot? I also tried my girlfriends burger — it was good, but under seasoned. I also had to put salt and pepper on my food. COMMONCHEF — that is like the first rule… in life.

In-restaurant experience: ok. The burger is solid and I’ve heard other menu items are decent as well. Ordering: Don’t. I ordered a simple Caesar salad from here. I was craving one in a bad way. Seamless states that there is parmesan cheese and croutons — perfect. The salad comes and it’s just the lettuce and dressing on the side. $ 10 later, I could’ve walked to the Gristedes downstairs, bought a Dole pack for $ 5 and called it a night. False advertising.
