spent $ 20 on some flowers from these guys which I do from time to time. Brought them home cut and watered them and they were dead before the night was over. Staff gave me some other flowers equally crappy… didn’t expect the flowers to last the week but for $ 20 I expect them to make it through the night or be replaced.

This place was the office spot for about two to three months until they fired their old chef. It appears they brought Armando back but things just are not the same. There are huge issues with delivery times and the accuracy of custom order execution. Not a fan any longer and Im sad to see such a good thing come to an end. Chelsea Bagel and L&M deli get our business consistently now.

I had refrozen gelato & it took forever to find anyone to serve it to us. If you want gelato, make the walk to Amorino Gelato instead & pay extra for a good product. Oh, and this is no «café.» It’s a deli & grocery store.

Small quaint café that has a large selection of sandwiches and soup. The cold cut I ordered had plenty of meat and was much more satisfying than anything i could get from subway or quiznos. Perfect for a quick to-go lunch or if you want to sit down there is also an upstairs sitting area as well.

This place arrived a few months ago, and was great. Clean, fresh foods and a nice staff. In the few months it’s been around they have managed to change the appearance/menu on a weekly basis. One week they have fresh squeezed juices, the next week it’s been replaced with soup, then there is gelato, then the gelato portion is outdoors? It’s a mess. Every time I go in there to get a quick bite for breakfast I need to reacclimate myself to figure out where everything is. Today(no exception) I went in and everything had moved yet again. I noticed the coffee cups were now behind the register(which makes no sense because the teabags/milk/sugar etc. are out on the floor. I waved a teabag at the guy and asked for a cup, and instead he poured me a coffee, and then gave me the stink eye when I didn’t want it. Besides the ever changing floor plan, the staff is ever changing due to crummy salaries(of course they don’t get paid well, the owner is wasting all his money on renovations and new menus). Overall, not worth the effort. Go somewhere else where you know they will have what you need, and you know you will be able to find it. Edit: I started going back a month ago when they finally stopped re-arranging everything. Unfortunately, I think a lot of people stopped visiting, as stuff frequently looked pretty similar from day to day(ie not a lot of turn over). I went last week and got a salad and got the worst food poisoning of my life. It’s been 4 days and I still can’t eat normally. The staff is nice, and i want to give this place a better review, but with the limited amount of customers and the apparent carry over of ingredients from one day to the other I’m sorry, I can’t.

Unilocalers need a zero star category. Red Spoon Café falls into that criteria. Red Spoon Café is really a deli with a great location. It is sitting in the corner of 14th and 7th Avenue in Manhattan. I found the prices of the drinks overpriced. They were selling Mash for $ 2.50. If you cross the street and go to Westside Market, Mash sells for $ 1.99 and .05 for bottle deposit or even some Duane Reade drug stores carry Mash at better prices. What was even more insulting than the prices was the horrific breakfast sandwich I had. I saw the cook make the eggs, but then he opened a mini fridge and removed the paper peel of a sausage patty and microwaved it, then proceeded to put together my eggs and sausage on a roll. When I took my sandwich to eat, you should see the scary looking patty. It was overcooked to begin with, so there are 2 colors to the sausage patty, the center looking greyish, and the outer rim of the patty looking burnt to a crisp. Then to take that pre-cooked thing and warm it in the microwave it. Take a look at the picture I posted on the breakfast sandwich. Eeeeeeeee! Reminded me of stale, pre-cooked food often found in segments of Kitchen Nightmares. Avoid this place! If they gave it away, I wouldn’t want it!

This place used to be just a small deli/grocery store, but they renew it and it came up GREAT! The image of the place is much nicer, from the outside it looks cleN and fresh and inside is super clean and nice. It is the perfect place to grab a coffe or breakfadt to go before going to work. They have a very good variety of sandwiches, pastries and beverages. They even have an upstairs seatting area and it is really nice. I recommend their lemon squares they are just yummy and always always fresh!
