I’m sorry to say that Random Events has been on hiatus for the past several months, and the owner has recently advertised the business as being up for sale.

They have so many varied events that you are bound to find one.five.ten of them that you are interested in, and a few that you may never have thought of trying until they set it up! I’ve joined them for dance classes, cooking events, happy hours and outdoor activities. Will and Cecilia are great at making sure everyone is involved. The people I met at the events were really friendly.

I just joined Random Events in the summer of 2010 and the fun just keeps rolling in! Me and a friend started our summer adventures with a tour of the world’s oldest subway tunnel in BK. They blocked off a manhole in the middle of a busy street where we climbed our way down in to darkness. It was quite a unique and once in a lifetime experience. Our following escapade was white water rafting in PA. That was a very special trip for me as I made many good friends.
Other outings include mixers, a drawing event, kayaking, and even a capoiera class next month. The organizers Will and Cecilia are a gem. They were perfectly friendly and welcoming when I first joined the group and now they’ve built a wonderful family of NYC adventurers. I’m always looking forward to what they’ll cook up next.
