Been there a few times. Great wine selection with knowledgable sales people. My new stop for wine.

Best small wine store around with expertly curated offerings, all big on quality and value. I’ve moved away and still stock up here whenever I’m in the neighborhood. The owner and his son are personable, helpful, and knowledgable about every bottle.

Best selection of wines in all price points, well curated from around the world. Have high end lovelies like Chateauneuf du Pape, and wonderful small run Chards from California for $ 15 that rival a Rombauer. The owner and son will do an impromptu wine tasting to educate if requested and are very warm and friendly. Not an intimidating place where they put their nose in the air for those new or ignorant to wine!

Good wines, knowledgeable staff, not too pushy, decent selection of pre-chilled whites. I also appreciate the bulletin board of pet photos. Convenient hours and never crowded. I’ve been meaning to try the wine tastings on Friday and Saturday(6:30−8:30pm), will report back.

Cute and sweet. Just like me. Okay, if you’re still with me after that bit of saccharine fluff, then more power to you. I liked this place — came here to acquire more bubbly after it became clear to me that I may not have bought enough at TJ’s Wine Shop(and I had absolutely zero desire to stand in another 20+ person deep line). The prices were not totally insane, and the staff was very friendly and helpful on New Year’s Eve. Yes, I went in on New Year’s Eve. Yes, I waited until it was even closer to the last minute to get more champagne. Yes, closer as in people-are-arriving-in-less-than-two-hours. They also have stemware for 99 cents, which is KEY if(1) you know people won’t really care if it says«Raynal» on the side,(2) you aren’t sure if you have enough glasses to go around, and(3) you don’t want to bust out plasticware(not my style). Why not swing by and give it a shot? …oh…“a shot.”(hardy har har…) Unintentional, I swear! P. S.: Also note that the address is 7th Avenue South, which is in the West Village, not Chelsea.
