Some things in life you don’t forget and you don’t forgive. I haven’t eaten at Pizza 33 since August 15, 2003. Why? Because the day before, the entire Northeastern United States and parts of Canada suffered a blackout. Almost 45 million people were without power, in the summer. How did most stores react? To the extent they were open, it was business as usual. For many of the bars, it was free beer and neighborhoods turned into giant block parties. How did Pizza 33 react? They price gouged their customers. Plain and simple. You got that? While people were in sweltering apartments, running out of food and water, these guys were ripping people off; charging 2 and 3 times their normal prices. Their explanation? Their costs went up in order to get their employees to work. Baloney. Pretty despicable behavior for pretty average, at best, pizza.

I had their pizza dozeens of times and even though i have not been there recently i figured i put in an excellent review since they deserve it. Their pizza is really good, their sauce is perfect and their mozzarella cheese is the real deal. No grease dripping of your slice, perfectly cooked. And the manager(the guy with european accent) is on top of it!

I wanted to like this place because it’s one of the only pizza places open very late at night near my apartment, but I’ve been disappointed every time I’ve been here. They majorly increase the prices late at night to take advantage of the people coming out of bars looking for food nearby. When they tried to do the same to me as well(more than doubling the price I normally paid), the only reason they eventually let up(after an irritating back-and-forth) is when I quoted exact prices from the times I’ve ordered from them off of seamless during dinner/the day. Left a bad taste in my mouth(and the pizza is nothing to rave about either — very mediocre).

I Live few blocks away and never coming back. Pizza is overpriced and not that good. Had the buffalo slice and chicken slice. Wasn’t even that hot or fresh. The guy behind the counter yells«Yo» when your slice is ready. Very rude staff for no reason. This place needs some customer service lessons.

I came here on a day when New York was supposedly preparing for a really bad snowstorm and everywhere else was closed(even the McDonald’s across the street). The pizza was really good! I ordered a margheritta pizza. It had a relatively doughy crust and good cheese to tomato sauce ratio. I wouldn’t go out of my way go come here but it’s a solid option for late night food or if you just happen to be craving pizza and you happen to be in the neighborhood.

Hadnt been in a couple of years even though I do live in the neighborhood. Was in the mood for a plain slice but was very disapointed not what it used to be. When they first opened they were eager to please now they seem to be arrogant. Wouldnt go back. The pizza was tasteless.

Love the margherita here. So crispy. The place is always clean. Love the décor. Will be back again and again! Reasonably priced. Nice staff.

One of those places where you walk in 3 different times, order the exact same thing and get charged 3 different amounts.

I was pretty disappointed with my experience here. It just goes to show you that not all pizza in NYC is ranked the same for a reason. Sometimes, it’s better to go to a place with more stars. I ordered a slice of pasta pizza and a slice of margherita pizza and unfortunately both were pretty bland. It wasn’t the worst pizza I’ve ever had, but at about $ 4/slice, I wish I had spent my money somewhere else. The slices are large, but the quality wasn’t good.

Never tried the food because it never came. My delivery was over 20 min late, when I called to find out if it was on the way the guy was rude kept telling me to download their app and stop using seamless. He eventually told me the food hadn’t even left yet. I cancelled the order and he continued to tell me not to use seamless and use their app instead. If you don’t want to be on seamless then don’t be on seamless. It’s that simple.

Always ask for credit card receipt. Walked in from the rain. Was told my 2 slices to go was for $ 8 and change. No receipt was given after they swiped my credit card. I was in a hurry to get home and eat my dinner. Saw my CC charged $ 9.53. Pizza was average.

Meh, I’ve had better. I had the margarita personal which was mediocre. The crust was cooked well so I’m sure the regular pizza is decent. I also order the garlic knots which were a fail. They were dry on the inside, I might as well have ordered regular bread with garlic sprinkled on it. I wouldn’t order the margarita from here again, or the garlic knots.

Delish pizza nice thin and crispy. Fresh mozzarella cheese slice. Did not see the pizza margherita mentioned in other reviews, it was 2 in the morning. I’ll be back again.

Very happy that this location hasn’t gone downhill like their other locations. The pizza is always fresh and rarely soggy. Whenever I’m in the neighborhood and want pizza, this is where I go.

Greatly appreciated the customer service Pizza 33 recently showed my group of 50 people, which included 32 children. They were timely with the 10 pizzas and very helpful/friendly from start to finish. We were only able to give them an hour or so heads up that we were eating in house and it didn’t faze them at all. I will definitely be taking groups back there. Thank you!

Returned after a long time break after bad quality experiences here.8 years ago this place was good. The lasagna slice– crust cracked in half. hate that. Toppings were low quality. Totally overpriced. Like nuts what they charged. I’ll give it 1.5 stars. Edible, but the type of pizza that must only taste good drunk. Good thing it’s in this area.

How is this place still open. Imagine a world where you can order a medium pie for 30 dollars, get it cold on delivery, and then have owners yell at you for having higher expectations when it comes burnt and pre-cut from the individual slice bin. Picture to follow. I’m tired of this ny entitled attitude where you can charge a high price for a dirt rat product. Check my picture of what this place represents

Good Pizza — but totally OVERPRICED– $ 4.50+ a slice??? Staff is ok but there is a manager who is so rude I don’t know why he works there. They stay open pretty late so that’s a plus. There’s 99 cent pizza and dough boys down the street. Iv’e had better experiences there.

I am too nice. Really should be one star. One of the worst slices of pizza I have ever had in Manhattan. Very ugly disjointed interior, like the tables and chairs just fell there. Not really a brick oven either, just a regular pizza oven made to look like a brick oven. Unpleasant staff.
