Quick and not as expensive as other places I have tried.

Quick, somewhat sloppy polish job on my toes(missed some corners). Someone else said this, but they massage you in the middle of the store, which I imagine gets uncomfortable since they roll up your shirt in the back. Cash only for tips!!!

The owner here, Grace, has an attitude problem if you’re not a high roller/big spender. She lies about how long it will take for you to be seen and does not honor appointment times. The best part about this place is Dolma, a mild-mannered woman from Nepal who gives great manicures and heavenly chair massages. She is trained and not just one of those women BSing for some extra pocket money. It is a bit weird to get massaged on a chair in front of everyone getting their nails done. The store is small and it would be better if they moved the chair away from the riff raff, especially since they pull up your shirt and use lotion on it.

Worst manicure I’ve ever had! Seriously! I only came up here because I had a gift certificate. I got a manicure with Shallac gel. It started chipping 2 days later! Even worse, the gift certificate was apparently for another«PINKY» location and they wouldn’t honor it, so I paid $ 40 for a terrible manicure.

Was underwhelmed by this place especially when they took a subway card out to scrape my shellac nails. Manicure was fine.

Honestly the worst manicure experience that I have had to date. In short: Unfriendly, low quality, dirty, bad job. To expand, I went to get a gel manicure, as my usual place was excessively busy, and asked for french, which they later charged me an additional $ 10 for which they did not tell me about. I sat down and they took off my old gel, but there was no soaking my hands, no cuticle care. Once she started with the gel I realized and asked her about the cuticle care, to which she said«later». I started to get a bad feeling and looked around, which was when I noticed the dirty walls, and dirty chairs. I asked her to do a thin white line, and she did a very thick line and did not correct. The paint job itself is uneven and wobbly. Once she moved on to painting my nails, another nail lady came and took the tray that had just been used on me, and brought it to work on the woman who just walked in… not a clean sanitized one! After the gel was set, she then filed the tips of my nails… WHY?! I have no idea, but now there is no paint on my tips and I am sure the gel will come off this week. I will be updating. There was no massage at any point, and towards the end, she walked to grab another towel, and tripped over the chord for the uv light, taking the polish, remover, light, and my phone with her. No apology or anything. Do yourself a favor, and skip this place.

I recently moved to the neighborhood and was looking for a cheap but good manicure. I was going to check out the nail salon next to my apartment but it was closed at 6:30pm on a Monday! I decided against Nails and Spa Together because it looked super crowded and busy and instead walked into Pinky’s. The décor inside is not what you’d typically expect at a nail salon, but it was fine, and clean inside. The ladies were all very nice, and the girl who did my pedicure did a great job! I asked for the callous remover treatment and she was SO thorough — I’ve never had anyone spend so much time on this part of the pedicure! And as mentioned, there was a complimentary massage and paraffin wax. Also something to note — a girl walked in literally 10 minutes before closing and asked if they had time to do a pedicure, and they took her without hesitation. To which one of the other customers(I’m guessing a regular) replied, «Only at Pinky’s!»

Pinky Nails is great! They always do a great and very thorough job. Pedicures are wonderful. They do paraffin wax on your heels at no extra cost, and do a longer than average massage(for a regular pedi). Last time I was there was around 10am on a Saturday, and I didn’t have to wait as a walk-in. The décor is kinda silly, but that doesn’t really matter. They do a great job! This is definitely the best place I’ve used on the UES.
