This place is awesome and delicious. I got the sampler of the mac and cheeses because they have so many freaking options I really couldn’t decide. My two favorites were the Alpine and the La Mancha. Both were just really tasty and cheesy, and had a nice twist to mac and cheese without over doing it. I also had some of the pizza and it was pretty solid. It’s very thin crust which is nice, and its served by the inch. You can put literally any type of toppings you can imagine on there and mix it up by changing the toppings every few inches. Basically, this place is good for groups and for people who like to have a lot of choices. It’s very casual and family friendly, but overall it’s a place that serves pizza, and mac & cheese with a twist. I did think it was bit on the pricier side, but I will definitely be back for more.

Sometimes I eat at the restaurant, other times I order it from . Combines 2 separate concepts(Pizza by the Inch and Sarita’s Mac and Cheese). The mac and cheese is SOGOOD! The safest bet is the multi-cheese Mac and Cheese. I often get the Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese which is delicious, and probably one of the most fattening dishes ever created. I have also had the mac with hamburger, and the creole-vibed mac with andouille sausage. The pizza is good, but I find it is best served at the restaurant. After being delivered and sitting while I eat my mac, it loses some of its luster. Tasty but not mind-blowing.

Me and a plus one being in a chipper mood decided to go to Pinch & S’mac. As soon as I went inside I saw kids running around everywhere, babies crying, parents bitching. Pinch & S’mac is a freakin kid zoo– This is so not my scene! I came here through a rec from a coworker, I was pretty much sold on the freshly baked mac & cheese idea, she completely left the part out that I might be infested in kid coodies. They have this rule that you can’t order unless there’s a seat open. When I went, there were no seats available so we waited for 15 minutes. *needs to work on customer service, the cashier woman had a bad attitude* We got the cheeseburger mac & cheese major munch(second smallest) to share. The mac and cheese have different sizes according to the sizes of the pans. We also got the 12 inch custom pizza– the pizza is a rectangular strip and paid for by the inch. The mac & cheese was good but not spectacular. It was very salty, the macaroni was alright, and the cheese wasn’t astounding. I felt that the pizza was a lot better than the mac & cheese. The pizza was thin crust with great cheese topping. A bit greasy but it was good nonetheless. The place put my chipper mood in a damper– just think chuckie cheese. Not that cheap, Not that great of food and crazy parents with their obnoxious kids.

Same mac and cheesy goodness as the East Village location, but with much slower service. We came here on a Wednesday night and it took forever for them to take our order and finally getting the food. I heart S’Mac but this location needs to get it together.

Not at all what I was expecting. I was expecting a restaurant, not an orange plastic bus terminal. I was expecting someone to cook my food, not a place for teenagers to give attitude at $ 5/hour plus tips. I was expecting delicious mac n’ cheese, not the premade, dried out, completely flavorless mac n’ cheese that I received. And I was not expecting to spend $ 39 for two people for mac n’cheese and 2 cokes. So, in my best New York accent, lemme say, «You gotta be kiddin’ me!» Pass.

I didn’t have a lot of time to pick out a restaurant, so I ended up here mostly due to proximity and the lack of desire to hoof it any further in the freezing cold. I ordered mac and cheese– gruyère with slab bacon. I mean, that is a pretty good start, so maybe I should take some credit for having the good sense to order something inherently delicious. But the nosh-sized pan of this was plenty and I left full, and very happy. It was also totally reasonably priced. Service was very friendly too, the guy at the register was affable and patient as my group flip flopped and debated our choices. There were a few tables with families, which I thought might be annoying, but this place manages to be kid-friendly and unpretentious while still managing to maintain an enjoyable atmosphere for adults. I liked the classic comic book art on the walls and the fact that they serve beer and cream soda. Win win!

There is something to be said about a restaurant that can be successful only selling mac and cheese dishes, salads and pizza by the inch. The pizza, is a cool concept and is good but it isn’t of the caliber of NYC pizza you’d find else where here. Still its goods it’s just not impressive. The mac and cheese dishes are wonderful I sampled the napoletana and the 4 cheese. If you like your classic go for the all american. It isn’t that I didn’t enjoy this place, I think I would enjoy it a lot more if I had kids. This is the spot to go to take your tot. They will love it, it’s the sort of food that resonates with every 5 year old in the country. I also love that they do different takes on the mac and cheese because it seems like an easy way to introduce your child to new ingredients they haven’t had before. While this wasn’t a place for our group, all in our late 20’s with no kids, it is the place to go for a family or a large group of kids.

We got the sampler and it was a lot smaller than I anticipated… the pan is like half an inch thick. Some of them were indistinguishable, so my suggestion is to just stick with 1 particular type. The«cajun» and«parisienne» really stood out though. Cajun sausage was really good and the Parisienne had the«interesting» factor probably because of the figs. The Red Salad was pretty good… and it had the dual purpose of cutting the oil=) Staff was nice, orders came in quick… pizza was above average, but overall, the place just didn’t do it for me. Maybe because it was pretty pricey as well. Or maybe because I was cold.

Oh man oh man, the creators of Pinch & S’Mac are geniuses! Hah… as if being lactose intolerant is going to stop me from trying this hearty mac & cheese(thank you Lactaid pills)! I came here on December 13th(my 22nd birthday!) and it was perfect place to get out of the rain and just kick back with friends and eat some delicious comfort food! I had the Nosh sized Alpine(mac and cheese with gruyère and slab bacon) and added spinach to it. Oooh, it was the perfect low-key birthday meal! After practically spending the whole day at the Museum of Natural History and this being my first meal of the day, I was HUNGRY… but the Nosh, despite being the smallest size, was very filling. They bake it in individual skillets which creates that very nice crusty top with savory gooeyness in the middle and brings out the smoked flavor of the bacon and cheese out. I like how they place has a hip, simple, and welcoming feel to it making it great for hanging out with friends or bringing the family out. There was even a little kid’s birthday going on when we went. It is also great because it is very affordable for the quality and quantity!

MMMM I thought this was pretty good, got both mac & pizza. The mac we got was the Parisienne(brie, figs, shiitake mushrooms, rosemary) and we got a good variety every few inches on our pizza. I liked everything, but probably not enough to go back very often. It ended up being pretty pricey since the servings are kinda small, but I guess it is a specialty place.

This place is pretty awesome! Pizza by the inch and S’ome really good Mac! You can add whatever you want to your desired mac and make it a party in your mouth. I think i went with a set combo that they offer with the whole grain mac and it was fantastic. Gooey, baked to perfection with that nice crust on top and the mac was cooked perfectly. Their pizzas are also a specialty and you can get it however you like, an inch at a time… wait for it… …thats what she said. BOOM

Who doesn’t love mac and cheese? And pizza for that matter? My friends and I came here and had the chopped salad(which was pretty delish) and the traditional mac and cheese with bread crumbs on top. unfortunately, no pizza for us. I usually don’t like baked mac and cheese, but man, it was AWESOME! if only the blue box delivered like pinch and s’mac! Whenever i’m in new york, i’d love to come again for some laid back, delicious food.

Who goes to a pizza/mac ‘n cheese establishment and orders a salad? I do. And they’re damn good. It’s shocking, I know. I’m a meat-loving, grease-indulging foodie, but their salads are awesome! Served in huge mounds on classy paper plates, pinch & s’mac has great, fresh salads with stupidly simple ingredients. A ½ serving is enough to fill even this hearty eater. The mac ‘n cheese is always a great option when you’re craving something super greasy. A nosh-sized serving should be enough for one person– anything larger and you will definitely need to share, lest you desire an early death. They definitely don’t skimp on the cheese but that can also lead to little pools of oil in your mini-skillet, which is not the most appetizing sight to behold. I know what I’m eating isn’t healthy, I don’t want to literally see the grease in front of me, for goodness sake. The pizza is just unfortunate– I guess it’s supposed to be «roman style» where it’s a long rectangle of dough, but it’s the biggest miss here. It’s completely lacking in any kind of crust and the dough is flavorless and as thin as a cracker. Sauce and cheese are forgettable. Skip the pizza, indulge in the mac ‘n cheese, and don’t be afraid to order a salad!

Stopped here on whim with a friend. We were hungry and this was the closest eatery to us. Turns out the pizza is pretty damn good here. You basically pick from 4 sizes(6,18,24,36 inches) and add whatever 3 toppings you want. They have a varied selection of toppings(Chorizo, Chilis in oil, goat cheese, hot dog, etc.) I ended up going with a small size with chicken sausage, smoked mozerella and raw red onions, which turned out to be suprisingly good. The pizza comes out on a crunchy thin crust and wasn’t greasy at all. They don’t have any pre-selected pizzas you can choose from, so you have to get on the creative side and concot something you’ll hopefully like. My friend just had a small salad, which looked pretty boring, but hey, this ain’t a salad place right?! I want to come back again, when I’m starving and try another pizza and some mac n cheese.

I wanted to like this place a lot more than I did. It wasn’t bad, but I really think that a restaurant specializing in one item should make that item much better than anyone else. S’Mac makes a decent mac & cheese, but that’s all that it was to me, decent. I had two kinds of mac & cheese, the all American and the Buffalo chicken. If I had just tried the Buffalo chicken, I may have gone with a fourth star, but I went there because I was craving mac & cheese, not because I was craving Buffalo chicken with mac & cheese. The cheese in the all American was a little more runny than I would like, although they did get it right in the Buffalo chicken. I also didn’t think that they used enough bread crumbs to get the really good baked top that a good mac & cheese needs. I didn’t try the pizza at Pinch for two reasons. First, I have found that pizza in Manhattan is by far the most overrated item ever to exist. Second, what’s up with the name? So S’Mac is Sarita’s MAC& cheese. So the apostrophe indicates that they have cut out everything after the S in Sarita’s name. Pinch is presumably short for Pizza by the INCH. So why isn’t there an apostrophe after the P to indicate that they have cut out everything after the P in Pizza? I just can’t get on board with inconsistent punctuation. Oh yeah, and I was pretty full after two orders of mac & cheese, which is the real second reason that I didn’t try the pizza.

There’s only one instance where you can say«I like pinch and smack» without someone slapping you or a drug dealer approaching you. And that instance is when you go to Pinch and S’Mac in NYC. Apparently, Pinch(Pizza by the Inch) pizza and S’Mac mac and cheese are separate restaurants that combined in this location for survival. Come to think of it, how smart are they. Probably couldn’t survive independently in the area so they collaborated. Ingenious! It seemed like most people in the place were leaning towards the Pinch part, but I say, forget the pizza. Mac & cheese(m/c) is something that I’ve seen popping up in creative ways in all kinds of restaurants and can’t seem to get enough of. So when I found out there was a restaurant dedicated completely to m/c, I had to try it. I ordered the classic 4 cheese m/c with the four greats: cheddar, muenster, gruyère, and pecorino, baked in a little iron pan and served on a cute wooden block. It was so good and a perfect lunch stopover before a day of activity. It wasn’t runny underneath the top crust, the macaroni was a little aldente, and the cheese on top was crisped perfectly. As is my normal pet peeve with m/c, the cheese was NOT too stringy and difficult to eat. Yay! My bro ordered the Buffalo Chicken, which made me think he was ordering wings on the menu, but in fact, he ordered Buffalo Chicken m/c. And yes, it did taste like the best of both worlds – buffalo wings AND m/c. My cuz ordered the Napoletana, which was a more unique m/c with fresh mozzarella, roasted tomatoes, roasted garlic, and fresh basil. She loves garlic so it was perfect and I thought it was equally delish. However, I have to stick to my own 4-cheese m/c as my favorite. As for sizes, knowing how easy it is to get sick of m/c in one sitting, a «Nosh» size is perfectly good even for a pig like me. A «Major Munch» size if you’re a little hungrier, but no bigger unless you’re sharing. In the drink department, I have to say that I couldn’t get enough of their Stewart’s cream soda drink, which for some reason went perfectly with the m/c. I can’t get enough of these half fast-food/half real restaurant type places, which Pinch/S’mac seemed to be. You order your food at the counter, but they bring the food to you. You get your own plastic utensils and napkins, but the m/c is in a cute iron pan complete with potholder, and you don’t clean up yourself. I love these types of places! It’s like we’re all in it together, you know? With one goal: To feed me.

This was such a cheap and yummy find for us after visiting the Natural History Museum. Thank you, friendly cashier at Crumbs nearby! Mac n Cheese — I LOVELOVELOVE the mac n cheese here! The best part is that you get to pick the cheeses and mix-ins you want(cheddar/parmesan with shitake mushrooms/broccoli). They add bread crumbs on the top and serve it piping hot in a cast iron pan. Yummmm! After an exhausting few hours at a very crowded museum, the mac n cheese went down really well with a heineken. Pizza — We got half chicken sausage and pepperoni, half tomato basil. It was pretty good, but not as good as the mac n cheese. ;) I need to find a place like this in the Bay Area. Ideas, anyone?

Man o’ man this place is yummy. I catered this for myself and 19 of my fellow office mates. The foot was delivered fresh and hot. The mac was crispy on the top and the salads were delish! The food arrived on time and everything was nicely packaged. We ordered three types of mac and two salads. It was more than enough than enough for 20 people. In fact, it would have fed about 30 people. At a price of $ 8.50 a person including tip, tax and delivery fee, it was rather delightful. Now, I’m not quite sure if anyone is actually working after our lunch get-together, or if we’re all in food comas!

If the thought of Hamburger Helper Cheeseburger Macaroni(or its healthier cousin Annie’s Organic Cheeseburger Macaroni) gives you a warm, fuzzy feeling inside, you’ll appreciate Pinch & S’Mac. You’ll also want to order the cheeseburger. Know this: they aren’t kidding when the call the portion-size major munch. It is gigantic. 10 inches of the pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms also made me happy. I appreciate the thin crust and brightly flavored sauce. I was less impressed with the salad. If only Pinch & S’Mac delivered downtown.. .
