I was taken to this restaurant by a dear friend who is hosting me in the city. For New York City, and especially for the Upper West Side, the prices seemed extremely reasonable. I had black linguini with seafood which was absolutely divine, the amount of frutti di mare was eye-popping, the noodles were cooked to perfection, and the flavor was a delightful medley of spices and oils which pleased my palate exceedingly. They were not skimpy, either. Groan belch groan! Pleasant and efficient service as well. I will certainly be back to sample other specialties.

Loved it! We went here for lunch and everything was delicious! Loved the hot ginger tea… ravioli apptz was delicious and i had the quinoa with avocado. sliced almonds and etc. dressing was light and very good! BF had the vegetable burger and he said it was the best vegetable burger he ever had… very flavorful! I was so happy with all the organic and natural choices. I wish this place would open up here in Long Beach… so healthy and sooo good!!!

I really enjoyed my meal here! I usually don’t go to vegan/all organic restaurants because the prices are usually a lot and you leave so hungry. However, this restaurant has decent food portions for what you pay and I was very glad to have left feeling full and knowing everything I ate was good for me! Full of flavor food!

I’ve never been inclined to write a review until now — the space looked awesome and the menu sounded interesting. The place was packed so figured we’d give it a shot. I ordered the avocado BLT and added eggs because the menu was missing a simple egg meal and that’s what I wanted. The tomatoes were still frozen, the bacon was hardly cooked and few and far between. I will say the eggs were tasty, but for an additional $ 5.50 hardly worth it. Last, the side salad looked like somebody sneezed the dressing on and it tasted that way too. My boyfriend ordered the eggs Benedict and could only eat a few bites — the English muffin was burnt and the Canadian bacon was a hockey puck. The home fries were doused in spices and grease — inedible. He put a napkin over his plate so he didn’t have to see the food. Not to mention we were served our food after only 5 minutes — which makes me feel like they didn’t even cook it for us, it was sitting around waiting for someone to order. Long story short, don’t go here. The corner diner will be a much better meal and for a much better price.

It was okay.“OK” is how I felt towards everything. I ordered the Hibiscus margarita, which was promised with hibiscus flowers. No flowers when I got it :( The fig and sweet potato ravioli appetizer was good, but I felt it could be better, more creative, more flavorful. I got the crispy chicken entrée, I expected more of the brussels sprouts. The polenta was not good. The chicken itself was good, but uninteresting. My boyfriend’s hanger steak was very good however. The service was slow and it was very loud. I wouldn’t go again, I was terribly underwhelmed. It was very boring for New York so I wouldn’t waste my time going there again.

Our first time at Spring did not disappoint! We were looking a healthy, hearty dinner, and my chicken burger was fantastic — one of the best chicken burgers I’ve had, as it was full of flavor, juicy, and unique, too. I got it on the wheat bun, instead of the normal bun, and it hit the spot.(It was more like a patty than just a piece of grilled chicken, and was huge in size, too.) My girlfriend had the Vegetable and Tofu dinner, which was pretty simple — black beans, brown rice, steamed veggies, and tofu, with a garlic tahini sauce on the side, and she loved it. Like mine, it was a large dish and great value for the price(which can be tough in the UWS and more upscale, healthy spots). Décor was nice and also the bread they gave prior to our meal was delicious. We’ll definitely be coming back.

NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM Brunch here was delicious. The Bloody Mary menu is extensive and impressive. The brunch menu is full of big salads, sandwiches, egg platters, and sides galore. I definitely recommend any of the salads. You will often get a wait here, but I think it’s worth it. It’s also a good place to grab a table with a small group of friends to catch up. Try it at least once if you’re in the area!

Nice place on the UWS. This review is for dinner service. Very open space where you don’t feel like you are on top of the diner next to you. Menu is extensive and includes vegan options for those inclined. The crispy skin chicken was very very good. Good sized portion of about 30% dark meat and 70% white meat which was cooked nicely and stayed moist throughout the meal. The chestnuts were a nice surprise and the grits were what you could expect from grits. I picked out every piece of the roasted garlic and loved every one of them! I would have this again. The tuna tar tar was different than any In had ever had but the seaweed with guacamole flavors worked together with texture and flavor. The tuna, while good, is not the star of this dish. The house made veggie burger was very good as mentioned in other reviews. Service was friendly. We will return here to try other items on the menu.

Spring is my go-to place after a Central Park race, so I’m certain that the post-race endorphins cloud my judgement now and then. Nevertheless, I’ve been here with a bunch of different friend groups and all agree that it’s the perfect place for a weekend brunch. I would highly recommend beating the crowds by getting there before noon(not always anyone’s cup of tea). Luckily, the dinner crowd has never been prohibitive(I’ve even gone on the weekend and not had a wait)! In terms of food(ordered from favorite to least favorite): — Breakfast Burrito: get this for a guaranteed brunch-induced coma. But actually it’s great option for a post-workout meal. Just don’t get it if you have to do anything else that day. — Dark Chocolate Buckwheat Pancakes: Amazing. If you’re deciding between the Banana Buchwheat and and Chocolate Buckwheat, just know that they inevitably have to use bananas in the Chocolate ones as they are technically gluten-free — Mayan Eggs — holey cheesiness. I’m a fan of mexican food(in case you couldn’t tell). Not for the faint of heart, especially if you’re tummy doesn’t dance well with dairy. — Poached Salmon and Lentil Salad: truthfully, this was a super nourishing meal and it certainly will leave you thinking like clean diets have a purpose. You’ll just be anxiously salivating as all your friends dig into their dishes. — Eggs Shakshuka — not a fan. I’m a stickler for red sauce and the green version just doesn’t do shakshuka the justice it deserves. Still a great option and I know a lot of friend who only order it. — Bacon Blue Cheese Burger: YES. Get it. But maybe don’t read any of the headlines about red meat and its connection to cancer. Try this restaurant. Bring out-of-town friends here for a great, simple brunch!

Lured in by the gluten– and dairy-free options due to allergies, we were excited to try the pulled pork sandwich and lamb sandwich. The pork was watery in a recently-defrosted kind of way. It was also lacking in coleslaw, and the few pieces of shredded cabbage & sliced carrots were spottily marinated in vinegar. The lamb was on the tough side, and the gluten-free bun was tiny and did NOT look appetizing. The BF ate it more to satiate his hunger than his taste buds. The chickpea-fava bean fritters were interesting, with a yummy jalapeño vegannaise(not too spicy). But it was a small appetizer, not quite worth the $ 11. It’s nice to have GF and dairy-free options. But the mediocre food quality, coupled with the slow, lukewarm service, make me reluctant to return.

Delicious food! Only giving it 4 stars because we waited about 30 minutes for our entrée. For an appetizer we shared the sweet potato and fig ravioli which I loved. Then for an entrée we had the rainbow trout with spinach and mashed potatoes. The fish was cooked perfectly and the veggies were also very good. Tempted by the dessert but will have to try another time.

Can’t help but post a super props to Adam V for literally sprinting AROUNDTHECORNER to return the S’well bottle i accidentally left there. Dude went above and beyond on this one. Aside from that, perfect place if you have a mixed vegan/meat eater coupling. I had the burger(excellent taste on it) and vegan gf had the thai salad which she enjoyed. The bread is super tasty as well. Def a veggie friendly place here. Again — props to you Adam V — wherever you are.

I’ve been here once for dinner and twice for brunch. I don’t have a particularly memorable experience for dinner and their brunch is decent. This positives about this place is that it’s veggie friendly and GF. It also has plenty of other options for us carnivores that are not particular about gluten. We were a party of 5 and the standout dish were the Mayan eggs. 3 out of 5 of us ordered this dish and were all satisfied. The rebels were myself and a friend, who ordered the Shakuka eggs and the Eggs benedict; both of which were okay but not great. Mayan eggs were definitely better. We then ordered the banana buckwheat pancakes with fruit to share for the table, which tasted like cardboard as per the general consensus(not that we have tasted cardboard, but this is probably what it would taste like). They had a dark chocolate option which may have went better with the buckwheat. All in all I probably won’t rush to come back here, but it’s a good option in the UWS if you are veggie or GF.

My friends and I came here for a late lunch on a Sunday. While there wasn’t much of a wait, we had a hard time convincing the two women who were directing the front of the restaurant to let us sit at one of the two empty tables outside. Apparently there were two wait lists, and no one had looked at the outside list in a while. Not exactly sure what happened there, but they sat us at a two person table and added a chair. My friend was bummed not to see the lemon ricotta pancakes on the menu, but the pancakes with berries were satisfying, and the pancakes were super fluffy. My Thai Salad was a very good value, as it was chock full of greens and a nice dressing. My other friend got the quinoa($ 15), which seemed like a bit of a rip off — easy to make at home and could have used some greens. Our water was always full, but the service overall was a little spotty. Great corner for people watching.

BECAREFUL! one of the waiter hacked our credit card, he tried purchase pets food on line. $ 400. Because we didn’t use this credit card for a while until we used it in this restaurant on last Thursday night. The waiter is a dark skin, not too tall guy and we sat the second table when you turn left by window. He is the only person we handed that Credit Card in recent months. Our son lives near by of this restaurant and we visit him often. When we sat down we got excited chatting about our trips. The waiter might thought we are tourists. When we asked him about the ingredients of one dish he gave us bogus answer. That was strange and my husband didn’t give up, asked again. He might think we… for any reasons, He thought he could cheat on customers and hack their credit cards. The food was alright, not great. Actually, my husband enjoyed his black pasta the most. It is horrible to think someone in the restaurant will do that to you… I don’t know if I will come back… One thought, ask your waiter, waitress name. Maybe they will think twice before they heck your cards.

Let’s face it, we live in Manhattan. There is no shortage of decadence here as long(as you can pay for it!). Spring Natural Kitchen has lots of healthy eats options for brunch/dinner and is the perfect place to go when you need to «reset» after some bad eating/drinking or just want something«healthy» and not too heavy. Am a pescatarian, w vegan friends and an omnivore boyfriend. The menu has PLENTY of choices for everyone and even w big groups, everyone’s left happy. I like that they indicate what’s gluten, soy, etc free and you can add meat or vegan options(tofu, seitan) to lots of the dishes. Plus, they use a lot of organic and local ingredients and note where the ingredients were sourced from. They don’t take reservations, unless you’re a big group, but the place is big enough that we walked in at 2PM on a weekend and immediately got outdoor seating.

Lovely brunch spot on the Upper West Side. I got the quinoa and apricot salad with ginger dressing and it was absolutely delish. Hubs got the burger which he said was also very good. It was the buffalo bleu burger. The kiddos split the banana buckwheat pancakes with Vermont maple and added fresh berries. I tasted them and they were fantastic. Portions were great. Prices were typical actually a little less than I anticipated for NYC brunch. We had a lovely experience. The place was pretty cool and accommodating to us switching the reservations a bazillion times. Crowded for a Sat but not stuffy perhaps because it was Memorial Day Weekend. Cute tables outside. Very, very vegan friendly and I liked the simplistic décor a lot. We will be back for sure.

If you’re looking for some clean eats and get some greenery into you then this place works to help keep you«regular». Some really good salad entrees on the menu. Many gluten free and vegan options too. The fresh pressed raspberry lemonade was refreshing as it was a special for the day. I had the South Western Grilled Organic Chicken Salad– organic mesclun, sun-dried cranberries, sweet corn, toasted almonds, monterey jack, peach vinaigrette. It’s gluten free but I don’t care about that, as long as it was tasty, which it was. Really nice dressing and not overly drenched in it. For $ 15 it wasn’t bad but I wish the portion was a little larger for the price. In fact, I found their menu overall to be a bit on the pricey side for what it is. My gal had the Spring Natural Chopped Salad — mesclun, romaine and iceberg lettuce, roasted corn, feta cheese, red peppers, chopped tomatoes and herbs croutons, tossed with red wine-mustard vinaigrette, with marinated tofu for $ 14. She said it was pretty good, and the portion for this was huge!(That’s what she said! Har Har-Har!) An assortment of things on the menu for all all tastes. Beer, cocktails, and wine too. Decent service, plenty of seating, and the AC was nice and cool on a warm rainy night last evening when we dropped in around 9:30.

This place is my favorite brunch spot in UWS. Came here after a half marathon — our party arrived relatively«early»(closer to 11) and there was no wait. However, the restaurant quickly filled up within 15 minutes. It’s a pretty big place actually, and I can’t imagine the wait being more that 45minutes on a busy day. The dark chocolate pancakes are heavenly — although I opted for buttermilk with walnuts(should always choose chocolate! Silly me). The drip coffee actually has substance to it, and isn’t completely watered down like others. The service is also pretty good here too. I was late to join the party and wasn’t given a menu or silverware after sitting down, but perhaps they didn’t notice me. The rest of the party was completely done and the waiter didn’t make me feel rushed to finish at all. I’m sad my stomach wasn’t big enough to get everything on the menu, as it all looked SO good. Will definitely be here again!
