Great place and really nice staff — they offer you a pickle to eat as you shop. Terrific pickles — the real deal.

«I can pickle that!» You can pickle really anything and they do. And they do it perfectly! I first fell in love with this place years and years ago and have thought about it often ever since. There’s really not much to the place. It’s just barrels and barrels of yumminess. Sours, half sours, green beans, gorgeous turnips dyed with beet juice, mangoes, even pineapples. And pickle flavored lip balm too?! Crazy! My favorites are full sours, spicy & hot pickles and pineapples! .75 a single pickle. Smaller than you would get in a grocery store but so much better. Crispy & crunchy. Nothing beats a NY Jewish pickle! The pineapples are the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. Tangy. Delish. Unlock your 10% offer on orders over $ 15 when you check in on Unilocal

I generally only go to the Pickle Guys once a year to get horseradish for Passover. They have a whole set up on the sidewalk where they grind jars and jars of horseradish. You will see the guy with a gas mask on. A large jar usually lasts me many months. I send one to my parents too. It’s the most potent, but delicious horseradish I have ever ate. I haven’t really tried everything they offer. I usually get a some of the half sours and okra, which goes fast. Everything I have tried is reasonably priced and delicious. I always forget to go back and try new things, but will definitely be back every spring for more horseradish.

Pickle guys is a tiny store with thee best pickled stuff out there! From pickled String beans(My favorite) to pickled parsnip, pearl onions, baby carrots, beets and Mngo or Pinaple(Yep, that wasn’t a auto correct…) They might sound weird but lemme tell you it’s friggen delicious. After receiving my tasting pickle from the super nice serving guy, I check in on Unilocal, and sweet mother of pickles, I got my 10% Unilocal discount… P. S. I Love the policy of «Don’t serve yourself» even with gloves… Don’t need anyone’s goodness from their hands on my olives…

Bread and butter pickles were delicious! The guys put on a show for us. The pickled mango was also very tasty.

Pickles don’t get better. Enough said. And they have a LOT of pickled items you don’t find anywhere else. EXPENSIVE though.

As the name says, if you don’t like pickles, this isn’t the place for you. There are so many options here — from cucumbers, to olives, to peppers, to pineapple, to okra, and many others. They also have items in the back that are not on the board, as one time I saw someone get a huge head of pickled cabbage. The guys that work here are cool and will joke with you in a pickle-ish way! They’re more than happy to let you try the items too. Every time I come here, I leave with 3 – 4 quarts of pickles.

I love all their pickled items. If I could, I would get everything. I’ve gotten the pearl onions and the pickled tomatoes, both really good.

Just an awesome experience. Everything is delicious, and the guys are super friendly. I was worried about trying too much — I actually had the opposite experience, the guy helping me kept insisting that I try more! Walked out with hot sour pickles, hot sour tomatoes, and jalapeño olives — brought them to a party, and they were a big hit. Pro tip: the olives go really well with a beer or glass of wine. Can’t wait to come back here.

Been to Pickle Guys since I was a little kid and always walk away a happy camper. The business has evolved throughout the years but always consistent with delicious bright pickles and great service. I recently stopped by after a loooong hiatus and was pleasantly surprised by their new(to me) offerings, such as pickled mango and pickled pineapple. I imagine the pickle juice from those would be amazing in cocktails but the pickles themselves are just awesome to eat on their own. My go to is a spicy half sour but if you’re a pickle newb, or just overwhelmed by all the barrels of yummyness, don’t be shy about asking for a taste. Love this place!

I am a huge pickle fan. Drink the liquid like it’s gatorade. So passing this place I knew I’d be happy. But not this happy! The guys are just chill, relaxed, and love doing what they do. I came in while trucks were delivering and they had just opened their doors. Still professional, let me browse, and try a couple pieces! Left with picked fruit and some milds, and couldn’t be happier.

I love this place. From the minimal décor(basically just plastic buckets) to the HUGE list of pickled products to the old school«hey, don’t eat all the product, you gotta buy, too!» from the owner, this place is just… very NY to me. I got the pickled string beans(not as good as my grandfather’s, but still pretty good) and pickled mango(so so sooooo good! could eat those all day every day!). I also tried a bunch of other things from green tomatoes to beets to olives to pineapple, but the mangoes were definitely the best. I do think the pickles could stand to be soaked in their pickling flavors a bit longer, but it is nice that you can taste both the veggie/fruit flavor and the pickling flavors. Really, a gem. You should go try it.

More more more of everything! I cannot call myself a pickle connoisseur but when I say I love pickles, I mean it! Everything here is delicious and service is amazing– the staff here are down to earth and are always willing to help you find the flavor of pickles that best suits your taste. I personally like the ¾ sour pickles out of all the variety they offer(new, ½ sour, ¾ sour, sour, hot, horseradish, hot sour, sweet gherkins, bread and butter). They also sell tomatoes, fish, peppers, pineapples, mangos, olives, etc! You can buy a single pickle, by the quart, ½ gallon or by the gallon. The price is definitely reasonable for the taste and service, so go give it a try(they offer free tasting if you don’t know which one to get)!

The Pickle Guys NY Manhattan LES 1pm Friday 20th February 2015 Five Stars I generally do not review stores but this place is too amazing not to discuss it. The store is very innocuous — just some barrels filled with lots of types of pickles. I got sour kraut, pickles garlic, and hot and sour pickles. I was even given a pickle while I waited. The service was fast and friendly. Plus the pickle was delicious. Can’t wait to come back.

I got the pickled green tomatoes. When i get them home, i desperately wanted the ones from the store to be just as good as the Pickle guys. They were not. The store bought pickled green tomatoes tasted like cleaning chemicals compared to the pickle guys. Well freakin great! I live in DC. How is this going to work?

One pickle, two pickle, red pickle, blue pickle, black pickle, blue pickle, old pickle, new pickle. Dr. Seuss should have written about this place. It is the BOMB. I made a quick day-stop in NYC and since I had already done the usual touristy things before, my cousin brought me here. I wish more out-of-towners knew about this place. They have everything ranging from pickled pineapples to watermelons to mangoes and baby corn! And free samples if you ask, wohoo. We ended up getting the *pickled mango* and *pickled okra*.They also conveniently offer different size containers(1 Gallon, ½ Gallon, 1 Quart). The pickled mango had a spicy-sweet edge to it and there were two distinct spices(cloves and black pepper) in the brine. The okra was a little mushy but the right amount of sour. I love that no pickle tastes the exact same! TIPS: + You can buy different levels of ‘sourness’ in brine: ½ or full + Ask if there are less crunch or more crunchy versions of what you’re buying Next time I’m in NYC will try the pineapple and turnips! Oh, how I wish you’d open up in SF…

BUCKETSANDBUCKETS O’ PICKLES?! A pickle-lover’s paradise. Small shop in Chelsea that packs a punch of pickles. You may find yourself in a pickle trying to decide on what to get — from pickled cucumbers to other veggies, all in different sour strengths. I like how they keep it simple, quick, and pickley. All for a great price as well!

Heaven? Is that you? If you like pickled anything, literally, this is the right place for you. I loved the mushrooms, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes. Liked less the okra, beans, and pineapple, though everyone else loved the fruit. I could live here. In the pickle vat, that is.
