Phoebe Rabbin

The minimal wait time for Dr. Rabbin was the only positive experience. The actual meeting with her was shorter than the wait! I pointed out to her very specific reasons for my visit but she failed to provide a diagnosis and only briefly looked at the conditions before proceeding to write a prescription. All in all she seemed disinterested/​disconnected. Very strange experience.
Now I have to find another Dermatologist to get a more thorough exam and some actual feedback. Very disappointed with Dr. Rabbin and would not recommend her.

UPDATE —
Have to write this update. I have now moved to Denver and have been seeing a new dermatologist. I will not discredit the great job Dr. Rabbin did with my freckle that needed to be removed. However, I had two additional ailments that one that we did not have any success with her methods and secondly, I had red marks on my cheeks that were very prominent and upsetting (obviously — they were on my face). Dr. Rabbin simply said some people have this and there is nothing we can do about it.
After seeing the new dermatologist in Denver months later she appropriately diagnosed it and they were gone in TWO days! I’m psyched. So sadly, I had to lower my rating for Dr. Rabbin being that 2 out of the 3 things I was seeing her for that she could not help, were fixed in a matter of one visit to a new doctor.

Dr. Rabbin is sweet, listens to your issues, and knows what she’s doing.
I saw her for what I thought was a rash — turns out it was a lot more serious than that. She biopsied the rash and two other moles, and contacted me within a few days of the procedure. I’ve since been back to have another mole removed and to keep watch on the skin condition I have, and will follow up with her in the near future.
I had a question about one of my results, and Dr. Rabbin called me back the same day, within an hour of my call. I thought that was great, and put my mind at ease.
The Murray Hill Medical Group is basically an NYU front. But I’ve been happy with most in the practice I’ve seen on a regular or emergency basis — she and Dr. Rajiv Kinkhabwala (internist) are great.
