I was always drawn to this place because of the large area they had for outdoor seating. I finally made it there the other day, but I ate inside. My first time trying them though, was actually delivery. I had a really long travel day on amtrak, and was thinking how all I wanted was to go home, and order in something comforting. I usually go for sushi, or mexican food when I order in, but italian sounded more appealing. I’d always wanted to go here, so I figured I’d give them a shot. I ordered the gnocchi, and added on chicken. It was perfect, and just what I wanted! And it was big enough that I ate it for two meals, so that’s always a plus. I always find that gnocchi is different at every place I get it from. The gnocchi here was super light, and melted in your mouth. They also sent along bread with this garlic and olive oil dip. So good! I finally made it in there to dine in this weekend, and it was kind of a hot/humid night, so we decided to eat inside. The place was pretty packed on a Saturday night around 9, but we didn’t have to wait. We were seated at a high table, right near where you can pay/pick up take out. So not an ideal spot since there’s lots of traffic, but it didn’t really bother us. I’d been seeing this star pizza on my instagram feed, and knew I wanted to try it. So before we sat down I asked, just to make sure it was available. It’s not on the menu, but if you ask they will make it for you, and with any type of pizza they offer. So we browsed the menu, and settled on one with chicken and pesto. I can’t seem to find the name of it on their menu, and I can’t remember what it was called. When we ordered it as a star pizza the waiter said it would be a couple dollar’s extra. I wasn’t sure if bread came when you ordered just pizza, but everyone around us had it so we asked for some, and they brought it over. They had that garlic and olive oil dip again, and it’s so good. The garlic flavor is very strong, FYI. We had each ordered a glass of wine. It was generous pour too. My friend had assumed I had ordered a glass of white wine, so when the red glasses came she was surprised. I told her she should see if she could get a glass of white, even though it was her error not theirs, and our waiter was very nice and accommondating. They brought her a glass of white no problem! The pizza came, and it was really good! the crust is pretty thin, but has a nice crunch still. The crust is kind of filled with cheese on the star. I feel like that might be the only real difference getting a star pizza as opposed to a regular one. Otherwise I would think they taste just the same. We ate most of it, but took home the last two pieces. Even though we were stuffed, we decided we needed to try the nutella pizza. In a star shape as well, naturally. The nutella pizza was soo good! There was some whipped cream in the middle, powdered sugar on top, and some marcapone in the crust. We took about half that home too, and it tasted just as good a couple nights later! Overall I thought this place was great. The service and food were both really good. Also when I got delivery it was good, and that isn’t always the case. Now I just need to come back and eat outside!

Service is great and they have a lot of lunch specials! The homemade bread and garlic dip is quite addicting. The bread is chewy and soft. The garlic just delivers the right amount of flavor with the bread. The sandwiches are quite filling and so are the salads. NYU students get 15% discount! It’s a great choice for the neighborhood.

simply the worse dining experience i’ve ever experienced in NYC. we made reservations for a birthday dinner for a large group of 14 but increased it to 19 ppl on the day of. the lady on the phone assured me that it would not be an issue. sadly, we learned upon arrival that they only setup the table for 14. we literally spoke to the hostess, the waiters, flagged down busboys, the manager, all who listened and then decided to ignored us. I have never in all my years experienced such terrible service — or non-existent service to be more accurate. My 5 friends waited outside for an ENTIRE hour until the two tables next to us finished their food and paid their check. ive experience many mishaps as such during my years… its understandable tht shit happens… but managers would generally apologize or at the very least«act» like they care and trying to rectify the situation? at patrizias, our large group of 19 was utterly and completely ignored. we waited 30 minutes just to get menus! at tht point, we began to realize tht they were completely understaffed. suffice to say, the night was off to a bad start. we hoped to enjoy the food and just get the most out of the evening since we were celebrating a special birthday. we were looking forward to it because we’ve dined at the brooklyn location also for dinner and it was amazing. we ordered the same $ 60 family style dinner which the lady who took our reservation over the phone assured us was the same as brooklyn, just that we found out that it wasnt. they brought out a soggy overcooked chicken dish instead of the lamb chops and the calamari was grilled instead of fried.. even the olive oil was completely bare bones compared to the olive oil in brooklyn. just more disappointment after another. at that point all we could do was laugh about it. im not sure how the restaurant at this location has such high ratings. the food was entirely mediocre and to be honest, we felt as if we were dining at the olive garden or applebees.(half our table were nat if you want to give them a shot based on other reviews i say go for it, just make sure its not a special occasion unless you want to risk your entire evening completely ruined.

Blown away. Can’t believe it took me as long as it did to discover this place. Ordered for delivery, came quickly and still warm and fresh. Got a margarita pizza, as well as the Parma. Absolutely delicious, I’d go so far as to say it was the best delivery pizza I’ve ever had. Got the ceasar salad as well, which was fine but probably won’t order again Extremely satisfied and can’t wait to eat there to try some different menu items!

Love the al fresco dining. To be honest, I’ve been to Patricia’s at least 3 times and I’ve never stepped inside. I’ve eaten outside on all occasions. The service is still very attentive, even if you eat outside. They come by to check on you without intruding. Beware of the complimentary bread. It will be the death of you if you stuff your face with the oftentimes straight out of the oven warm bread. Love the spiced olive oil. Gives the bread a little bit of a zing. LOVE their house dressing. It’s probably something super simple like lemon juice and olive oil, but it’s just so FRESH! I can’t get enough of it. I’ve tried 3 of their pastas– clam linguini, some sort of seafood pasta, and pappardelle alla bolognese. All scrumptious! Patrizia’s is a staple for my pasta cravings!

Great quality, fast delivery!(30 mins for pasta, salad and drinks) Overall this is good quality, great bread and fresh ingredients. Only gripe is a slightly watery pasta. Italian Sausage and Broccoli Rabe Orichiette, pasta cooked well, fresh ingredients however that watery liquid that came with it? I understand that addition of pasta water to thin a sauce down is a standard part of the cooking process however this type of pasta doesn’t have a sauce. Hence, a watery, slightly garlic flavored warm water resides in the base of the dish.(Not nice) Would eat again however, better than most

Finally found a pizzeria that would prepare a pizza to my taste and food restrictions. Being a pizza lover and vegan it is difficult to find a neighbor pizzeria. — No need to look further— My Margareta pizza with grilled eggplant was exactly what I was yearning for. Made fresh perfectly prepared and cooked. best of all, made in less than fifteen minutes and to go. Perfect for a short lunch break.

We had a great experience here. We went in on a Tuesday night, around 6pm. There was a private party upstairs, but the main floor dining room only had a few tables full. They have an expansive menu with italian entrees, several appetizers and desserts, as well as daily specials. The food was great and fresh. We ordered the Caprese and a pizza with salumi and capicola. It was too much food for two people, but both items were great.

What a vibrant special place. The energy is high in this neighborhood gem. Bathe previous rating are warranted as the wait staff worked seamlessly to provide water bread and to take our orders. True Italian men running the house so that was a real treat The pasta was cooked very well, just a touch of al Dante I had the spaghetti with meatballs and was presented with an abundant plate with three large meatballs. The sauce was a tiny bit watery but the meatballs added the depth the dish needed. They even left the cheese at the table so we could add as desired. Fairly priced and a very nice place to dine. Noise level was a bit high but that’s the places energy

After a ridiculously long day, filled with misadventures I was greeted by the smell of warm bread, olive oil and spices. Ah! Although the cavernous space doesn’t scream homey, the food certainly does. The beggars purses melted in your mouth and the sauce was worth every delicious calorie. Although this isn’t an area of town I’d normally seek out for restaurants, the food and service did not disappoint so I’d definitely return.

Somewhat of a disappointment given the reviews. The restaurant looks like a big cafeteria and while the food is better than the environment it’s not much better. My friend got the linguine with clams which was ok. My pizza was mediocre at best. Hard to see this as justifying a 4.5 star rating in Unilocal.Try another Italian restaurant nearby. No reason to pay the same prices as other restaurants to sit in a cafeteria and eat ok food.

Solid neighborhood Italian restaurant that always delivers on quality. The place is always busy and I love the outdoor seating when it’s warm outside. I also love that they have TVs. My favorite thing on the menu is the paninis. They’re huge(I can barely finish one on my own) and they’re delicious — my favorite is the eggplant parm panini. The pizzas are pretty good — not the best but definitely not bad. Their pasta dishes are great too — I love the penne vodka and the pappardelle bolognese. The staff is super friendly as well. One time I got takeout and commented to a staff member that the dessert looked great — they then gave me free dessert with my food!

Solid neighborhood Italian spot and I know why people love it. I never knew this place existed until I walked by it a few weeks ago, looked it up on Unilocal, saw it had great reviews, and decided to bookmark it. I live surprisingly close to this place, but it’s very hard to miss because it blends in with the buildings around it and in the middle of the block(near the hospitals and med student housing). We walked in on a Thursday night and it wasn’t very busy. They have a large open dining area with seating upstairs — I didn’t get a chance to make it up there though. There’s one huge tv high on one of the walls, making it visible from most seats on the ground floor area. Off to the back/side, it looks like a takeout area, where their large brick oven pizza and kitchen are. We sat down and they gave us complimentary bread and this garlic oil. As other Unilocalers have mentioned, this think is like crack! The garlic olive oil is delicious — probably so simple to make, and it’s amazing. However, it does contain garlic, and a fair amount, so you’ll definitely need some gum after dinner. We went through two baskets of the bread because we kept wanting the oil. They have a fairly small drink selection — they didn’t have any of the bottles that are on their menu and a couple drafts were missing too. Here’s a breakdown of the food: Eggplant Parm(appetizer) — round, breaded slices of eggplant that were crazy, not stringy, and had a nice, delectable flavor. Highly recommend. Adding the oil and taking a bite out of the bread along with it is super tasty too(and quite filling!) Gnocchi — this was pretty good — a bit dry, but I feel like most gnocchi is. The sauce was pretty good too. The nice thing is the gnocchi is smaller than most, so while it’s a stuffed pasta, you get more sauce and flavors with each bite because it’s not just large pieces of stuffed pasta. Quattro Stagioni Pizza(substituted onions for the salami) — this was underwhelming. Let me preface this by saying you should not expecting«New York-style pizza» at this restaurant, as it is providing you old school fresh brick oven pizza. While the ingredients were plentiful and you could taste the freshness in the dough, the pizza just fell apart. It’s super thin and with all the toppings, it was just a mess. We were essentially eating a mishmash of veggies, dough, and sauce, followed by the crust. They have the pizza on the menu, so they should at least be able to make it without having every tipping fall into the plate. Overall, a nice restaurant that you can definitely bring a large group or your family too. They offer family style specials as well.

A local favorite! Having grown up in Chicago, I’ve always been a deep dish thick crust lover and never cared much for New York style pizza. However, I’ve had pizza here on two different occasions and I can definitely say I am a huge fan. Firstly, unrelated to pizza, they serve really good complimentary bread with GARLIC olive oil here. Bread is soft and the olive oil is super flavorful, with chunks of garlic and red pepper flakes. I have to force myself to stop eating it so that I actually have room for real food. I’ve had the Patrizia pizza with arugula and sorpresatta, as well as the Parma pizza with prosciutto, tomatoes, shaved parmesan. Both were so good. The crust was thin but substantial enough to stay soft and doughy without getting at all soggy. The amount of cheese and tomato sauce was perfect. Of the two I’ve tried, I think the Patrizia is my favorite, but only by a little. Also, a small pizza is pretty much the perfect amount for two people. And they range from just $ 13-$ 15! Incredible value for the quality and amount of pizza you get. I saw the pasta items on the menu were more expensive but never tried them, so not sure how many people one order could feed. I do want to try their pastas and paninis in the future though. Service was very friendly and attentive. Minor annoyance that on one occasion the I asked the waiter for balsamic vinegar and it took him over 15 minutes to get it to me. Otherwise I have only praises for this place.

Came here on a Saturday night, it was pretty busy but we got seated quickly. Had a bit of difficulty deciding what to order because everything looked and smelled great. Finally decided to try the gnocchi and the margarita pizza with pepperoni. Before our entrees came we were served warm bread with a garlic oil for dipping and it was very yummy. Both the gnocchi and pizza were delicious, no complaints here I enjoyed every bite. Got the Nutella pastry for desert. It was nothing special, wouldn’t recommend that one. The service wasn’t at its best because we started the dinner with one waiter and then were ignored for a significant amount of time until finally the manager was helping us. Overall it was a good dinner and very reasonably priced as well. For 2 people with a drink each, 2 entrees, and desert I think it was $ 60.

My friend and I spontaneously decided to have dinner at Patrizia’s last night, and we were not disappointed. We were seated right away and ordered two dishes to share. The gnocchi with buffalo mozzarella was absolutely delicious. We also shared the margherita pizza with pepperoni. We were both extremely full after those two dishes but we couldn’t leave without having dessert. Gennaro, the manager was very helpful in deciding what to try for dessert. He recommended the nutella Patrizia’s which was the perfect dessert; it was light with just the right amount of nutella. Will definitely be back to try the nutella pizza, it looks serious!
