After a lovely day walking around the park in Inwood, my comrades and I happened upon this locale, craving a refreshing cocktail. We sat down and immediately received splendid service by Scarlet. I tried the coconut mojito, which was sweet and light, with a fresh dose of mint. I also tried the caprese salad and the chicken mofongo, both of which were delectable. When I come back to Inwood, I look forward to returning to this spot!

Went on a Friday, they had Karaōke. Ordered food, which was good and was served in a timely matter. After that it went downhill. They bought the food and no utensils. After 5 minutes we had to ask another waitress for utensils. My friend still had food on their plates and they came to take the plate away, she had to tell them she was not finished. Another friend put his beer on the table and they took the bottle and there was still beer in it. I had to tell the man to put the beer back. Final straw came when they bought the check. There was an $ 18.00 charge that we did not know what it was for. When we questioned it, the waitress said, «oh that’s a mistake». That was for the tap beer that was ordered. It should only be $ 4.00. Which sounded like BS to me. Had another group of friends(3) that ordered 5 drinks each of Hennessy(15 total) they were charged $ 400.00. They charged them over $ 26.00 for each drink. Will never go back and definitely would not recommend it to anyone.

Great drinks! Love the décor. Our server Alex was very attentive. Try the Matador or the Pat’e Palo! We’ll be back next time to try the grub.

Food– 1⁄5 Service-1/5 Value-1/5 I last dined at Dyckman 10 years ago. It might take another 10 years for me to do it again. That or dissociative amnesia. Happened to be in the area with a friend on a beautiful unseasonably warm February day. Both were somewhat hungry and planned to bike to Chelsea for a bite, but saw inviting tables outside and decided to take a chance. Prix fix brunch menu — appetizer, entrée and«unlimited» drinks. Basically– a two course brunch. $ 27 per person We both had soup for the 1st course, I had a salad for my main, friend had chicken club sandwich. I had a mimosa-friend had a margarita(not part of brunch). We saw our waitress 3 times(when we asked for a menu, when we ordered, and when we paid) — each time we had to make an effort to flag her. Although she was apologetic at the end, she never followed up on us after we received our food. If she would have– the service problem could have been averted. Bus boys were disastrous. I had 2 mimosas(«unlimited») and I’m lucky to have 2, because while other tables got their refills the area where we were was simply forgotten and/or ignored. When asked for BASIC condiments(salt, pepper – how do you bring French fries without ketchup-you’re Dominican and know better!) and water refills after receiving our food we patiently waited 5 minutes — with our food laying on our plates. And even after I physically had to go inside the restaurant and once again ask for it nothing happened. I had to flag another boss boy and wait over 5 minutes again. –Chicken soup– 1⁄5. Was red in color, served in a sombrero sized plate with about a cup portion of the soup(thank God for that). It had an overwhelming tomato paste flavor, and both friend and I burped it for hours thus reliving this culinary fiasco. –Club sandwich– was of a «diner quality», according to my friend. When asked for mustard, after 10 mins we were told that they don’t have mustard.(???) –Salad(aka«Ensalada Pat’e Palo»). Arugula, spinach, grape tomato, asparagus, artichoke, prosciutto and house dressing. A small portion, fresh greens, typical canned marinated artichokes, 2 grape tomatoes, maybe 1 asparagus, and disastrous(rolled slices of) prosciutto. If you can’t get good quality prosciutto– don’t bother messing up a plain salad with it. But I get the idea– if that«expensive» ingredient would not be there you can hardly justify charging this much for a very small and plain salad. They have some serious cojones to charge $ 27 per person for food and(lack of) service they provide. It’s not fine or haute cuisine, and it’s on Dyckman Street(NOT5th Avenue). I mean– people watching is fascinating, exciting and petrifying but not worth the money. Just for comparison– a two course brunch at A Voce Columbus is $ 31.

Good drinks. Food average at best. Typical drug dealers galore. Oh, you can definitely find a gold digger at the bar.

Went here last night for a late night bite to eat and drinks. With lovely outside seating this place seems like it would be cute for a date night or a meet up with friends. After midnight it seems the inside turns into a night club atmosphere with dimmed lights and mixture of top 40 songs. The food was good had the empanadas and tostones. Bf had the chicken salad. Portion sizes aren’t that big, but plates have a beautiful presentation. Also for those interested they provided hookah.

I was equally surprised that this place had not been reviewed yet when I tried to check in and didn’t find anything, I was going to review it and got beaten to it =-) Went on date and this was the only place that was not crowded, so I definetely liked that. The place is cute and we got to sit outside and people watch(that wasn’t great). The service was great, we had a few waiters and waitresses constantly coming to check in and make sure our drinks were always filled. The drinks were ok, I had the mango margarita which was cool, nothing special, then I had the«Pat’e Palo» which I personally did not like at all, BACARDIROCKCOCONUTRUM, BACARDISUPERIORRUM, COCONUTPUREE, LIMEJUICE, COCONUTWATER&ORANGEBLOSSOMWATER. and I had the«Pirate» that was yummy, which was HENNESSY V.S. MUDDLEDORANGE, PASSIONFRUITPUREE, PINEAPPLEJUICE, FRESHLEMONJUICE, INFUSEDSYRUP&ORANGEBITTERS. The food was good, I had the Pollo Navío: Chicken in primavera sauce, with mash potatoes and Porto wine reduction. And for desert the tiramisu so0o00o0o good!!! Yes, I will be back, it’s a lil jem in the Heights with not too much hype, I love it!!!

Hard to believe no one has reviewed this place yet. Maybe cause residents go by word of mouth or by reputation, but it is so good I would travel to Inwood for it and bring friends. I had the skirt steak with rice and beans and it was extraordinary. A little salty but I’m sure you can ask for things to be adjusted. The staff is extremely accommodating and the décor is superb. The dish presentation in itself is fabulous. And the food so far tastes as good as it looks. The drinks are good too. I wasn’t sure what to get so I asked for something with whiskey in it and I got a peach schnapps-whiskey sour concoction that was sweet and tasty. Just gets loud as hell in there later in the evening. And I was there on a Thursday. Also, they serve hookah. I mean its got it all, def worth the trip.
