I forgot to write a review after going there on November 7… I’d called ahead and the nice guy on the phone(Daniel) put aside a book for me, then he & his colleague were very friendly and helpful when I went there later that day.

A month ago or more, I passed by this shop on my way to work. It was before 9 a.m., and for some reason, it was open! Amazing, since I had wanted to get some tissue paper for a gift I was carrying. The man at the cash register was very thoughtful and helpful. I only needed to be directed to where the tissue paper was, but I overheard him telling a lady who came in after me about promotions that were going on. Because she had asked about an item on promotion, not because he was being pushy or anything. The tissue paper I bought was the perfect shade for my gift bag and made it look so much nicer than before. I was very happy that morning!

Obnoxious rude service — avoid. Boy there was so rude — think you need to rethink your staff coaching… A thank you or greeting might be nice.

Great place to buy cards and small gifts. I’ve been to this particular Papyrus a couple of times and the employees are always extremely helpful, polite, courteous and they do their best to offer up a laugh a two which is appreciated in this City! The only reason I can’t rate this place higher is because it is slightly pricey. But hey, perhaps you pay for what you receive.

Papyrus is the place I buy cards for the people I really care about. Yes, for my favorite people, I will dish out $ 5 – 8 for a birthday card… This location always has a nice selection and the store is never too crowded. I hate crowded card isles! And I’m sure it’s the same at other locations as well but, they have a buy 3 get 1 free deal here.

I like to purchase all of the cards I send out at Papyrus. They have great designs that are usually simple and to the point. Nothing outrageous or nonsensical. This location is on a not so busy part of Lexington Avenue, and it was empty when the entire time I was in there for about twenty minutes. They were running a promotion on cards that was buy 3 get 1 free. Promotions like this are good as their cards tend to run a dollar or two more than conventional cards. They definitely lost a star for unfriendliness and another star after the cashier sighed and gave me a depressed look when I asked him for a shopping bag, rather than the flimsy paper bag he handed me. One block from the 63rd Street F Station.
