Tru-Form Shoes

I recently bought some custom made shoes, which are beautifully made and very comfortable with a perfect fit. Literally made from a mold of your foot, so it’s designed to fit exactly. They seem to be a very good investment and long lasting. They also made a matching belt for me – from the same burgundy/​cordovan colored leather, which is also very nice.
In addition, I hired them to rework and modify two other pairs of dress shoes, to add a «rocker sole» (if I have that wording right), and a carbon fiber sole bar, which both help to stabilize the foot and yet make walking much easier for those of us with injured big toe joints with arthritis. These shoes have been a GOD SEND, literally, and this solution very well may help me avoid expensive and painful foot surgery for many years. These modified shoes are not cheap, nor are the custom made dress shoes mentioned above, but all of them are a great investment for those who need custom, better fitting shoes — as in my case, with chronic foot pain.
In short, they do very high quality work and produce a GREAT product. You get what you pay for … Thanks.

My feet are too wide in the front and narrow in the back for regular shoes. As a medical doctor I know that it is a straightforward problem. I will leave out the very unpleasant details of the past year of their careful measurements, over 15 «adjustment» visits and two consultations with their recommended orthopedist. Their custom shoes have remained too tight in the very place that made me need custom shoes that I have too much pain to walk in them. After all that I am still wearing my too narrow $ 100 pair of internet shoes – but I can at least walk in them.

My husband paid for custom made shoes for a gift for me. Initially, we met with Paul and Joan the owners and were assured that we would get a beautiful pair of shoes, exactly the design and look that we wanted. It became clear after the first visit, that Paul has his own ideas of what you want and after 4 months and not even a model shoe that fit or was the design we requested, we have lost $ 2,500.00. We actually offered to pay him for the work he already did — which was minimal — $ 1,000 at our lose, and requested a $ 1,500.00 refund for shoes that were never made. We promised to walk away and not pursue any further action. He refused and after several phone calls, then began to rant about already making the shoes in July. Which begs the question, why would he not show me the shoes, and why would none of his employees know about the shoes (which is discussed in several e-​mails, phone messages, etc.) He said he made them in silver — which is a color I never picked. His partner Joan knows that — as she called me in July to come in and pick the leather — which I did GOLD. The Gold leather swatch was in the box of the model shoe form for months. The more civil we were and tried to reason with him, the more irate and irrational he became. We have lost $ 2500. After some research into the store, we have read several other problems with customers who had very similar experiences and have lost the same amount of money. It is infuriating to think that they can take your money — and not provide the product they promised. Do not be fooled by their initial helpfulness — once they have your money, you are helpless to get what you ordered.
