Although I do have the agree with some other reviews that this chain is more expensive than other boba places, I still come here at least once a month, They have a great reward system: buy 5 drinks and get one free ! The girls behind the counter is always super friendly and patient. My go to drink is Grapefruit green tea with aloe. Their most popular drink is probably the matcha smoothie with red bean, i have seen at least one person order this everytime Im at Chatime.

Have been here several times since my first visit, and I have to say that EVERYSINGLETIME I’ve been impressed with the people who work here. They are super friendly, fast, and efficient to all customers(I’ve eavesdropped) and never get impatient when people take a long time ordering. On top of that they do it with a smile. They patiently explain all the options and are GREAT ambassadors in the UES for this crazy, mysterious drink called«boba»!

So after my trip from Hawaii I wanted so bubble tea. I was in the number and decided to Unilocal bubble tea places in the neighborhood. This one was the closest. I ordered the banana bubble tea and my friend got the honey dew. Let me say this the bubble tea was horrible the banana bubble tea didn’t taste like anything. The only reason I didn’t throw it out was because it had lychee it in and I didn’t want to waste it. The honeydew bubble tea taste like powder with a bad after taste. Welp! I won’t be coming here anymore.

My recent Seamless order from Chatime Bubble Tea was delivered on time and was just as ordered(and good). However, on my receipt, the words«NOGOOD!» were written on the tip line. It is my firm belief that tips are discretionary and while I commonly tip 20%, this order was not complicated, time intensive, or heavy for delivery, so I tipped 10%. I think it is completely disrespectful to the customer to «tip shame.» So ridiculous for a $ 15 order. These places are a dime a dozen in New York. Take your business elsewhere.

This place is just a-okay. It was pretty empty when we came in but that didn’t stop us. Ordered a taro milk tea and normally it would be chilled or cold right? Wrong! Mine was rather lukewarm and I can taste the powder mixture and it’s not as sweet like other places. Would probably skip out next time and go to Kung fu tea where their teas are on fleek!

Best bubble tea place ever, HANDSDOWN. so many different flavors. Exclusive seasonal flavors. Never a disappointment. Always delicious. My fav is honey dew milk tea with less bubbles. So perfect.

I was excited that there was a Bubble Tea place that delivered near my work, so I decided to give Chatime a shot. I ordered Mango green tea with boba and an Italian Crêpe. The drink was pretty good, but the crêpe doesn’t fit the description on the website. When I called the restaurant to tell them there was no cheese, no pesto sauce and tons of red onion in my order, they asked me to never order from them again. Where’s the accountability? I only write Unilocal reviews if I’m really impressed, or if I’m really disappointed and sadly this was the latter.

I was pleasantly surprised to see a Chatime in the Upper East Side, but considering there isn’t another bubble tea place in probably a mile radius, it’s smart placement for the business. And once I saw the prices, I understood why: $ 4 for a medium grapefruit green tea with no bubbles? Yikes! I’m so used to the. Flushing locations offering 2-for-1 drinks that I’m pretty sure I gawked at the counter girl. To make up for that, they offer a punch card for buy 5 get 1 free. Another interesting thing: this location serves crepes and beef noodle soup? Whaaat? Aside from the price, the place has a back area with quite a few seats, and they really do a good job maintaining cleanliness. My friend and I must have seen one of the employees mop the same floor three times in the 1.5 hours we were there, even though there were only one or two others occupying the space. The unisex restroom is clean too. I’m not sure when I’ll be back here since it’s not convenient for me, but I wouldn’t mind coming back.

This is pricey! But it’s actually worth it! I paid $ 4.65 for a Strawberry bubble tea. I didn’t know they charged for Bubbles :/ But, this has got to be the best bubble tea I’ve ever had! The Strawberry tasted amazing! The Bubbles were super soft and chewy! They had a nice texture to them, unlike other bubbles. The employees were super nice as well :) Hunter students get 10% off. I recommend this bubble tea spot!

Yum! So many great selections of bubble tea and I can’t wait to come back and try more! They also have a cute outdoor area, which makes you forget you’re on the crowded streets of Manhattan, and plenty of seating inside where you can sit down and connect to the free wifi.

A little bit pricey for bubble tea but it’s Manhattan, so I understand. The employees are super nice. This one time I ordered Taro Milk Tea with Bubbles and I grabbed a red straw while the employee was making the bubble tea. So when the employee was about to give me the bubble tea, she grabbed a purple straw for me. When I showed her that I already took one, she jokingly commented, «I wasn’t even close,»(she was talking about the color of the straw). She’s so cute! I love the Taro Milk Tea with Bubbles, Taiwan Mango QQ, Lychee QQ, Taro Milk Tea with Pudding, and Jasmine Milk Tea with Bubbles. 10% discount for students: D And there’s a punch card!!! Usually, bubble tea places don’t give out the free drink as a large but ChaTime does! Super awesome! I have already went through one punch card(three free drinks). There are 4 outlets(each with two slots). And free wifi!!!

Just had a worst worst worst milk tea. I ordered macha green milk tea with bubble and paid $ 5.25 for large, which is pretty expensive. It taste like just water with one tea spoon of macha in it. DONOTWASTEYOURMONEY!

Stable wifi. Lots of unbelievably loud school kids after 2pm. Normal bubble teas.

The drinks are ok but I am stunned by their space here. There’s multiple seats, multiple outlets, a bathroom and what surprised me the most is a back where they have seats outdoors. I really wanted to try their green apple jelly but they didn’t have anymore, boohoo. I got the green milk tea and to be honest, I didn’t taste the tea at all… it was water with creamer… luckily, I was thirsty

Just being one of the only bubble tea options in the sad upper east side should get them some props. Regardless of that I do like Chatime although the Chinatown location seems to be better somehow? Maybe that’s my own prejudice since I started with them. Still their teas are on point even though a lot of it is powder flavoring which I dislike about these bubble tea chains. The coconut milk tea, the green tea flavors are good. They have several types of jelly and they have grass jelly. They also let you avoid excessive sugar highs. I can’t speak for the food. I have purchased mocha which wasn’t bad for the price. Overall a great addition to the ‘hood so please support this place.

I don’t come here that often, maybe once a month. Their bubble tea is pretty good, and they’re one of the few that actually serves non dessert type foods. And this is where the 3 stars come in. If I get food here, I either buy tea eggs or a crêpe. This is my second time having the veggie crêpe with feta cheese. The first time I had it, it was great. The crêpe itself was really light and crispy, while still being chewy. They even put a cute little veggie bunny on it(my food took awhile, so I appreciated the gesture). I ordered the same thing tonight, expecting similar quality. Again, it seemed to be taking a little longer, but it would have been fine if my crêpe wasn’t just warm instead of hot. It was as if they just remembered about it at the last minute before they brought it to me. Also, the crêpe was too dense — I had a hell of a time trying to cut into it, making it even less enjoyable. Next time I’m going to try one of their noodle soups, but never again on the crepes.

Is it the best bubble tea in New York? No, but it’s good enough and it’s conveniently located. What really adds a few points here is the patio in the back! On a nice day it’s great to sit back and enjoy your drink in relative peace, away from the hustle and bustle only a few feet away.

I live in the UES. Great place to live, not-so-great when you have bubble tea cravings. Luckily, this Chatime location is not too far away from my apt! My favs are the almond milk tea and the passion fruit green teas! Yummm!

Great bubble tea! The roasted milk tea is slightly watery and could use a little more milk flavor, but it is still very good. The boba itself is on the softer/chewier side. The patio in the back has a beautiful little water fountain and transports you away from the busy city. I highly recommend the homey and cheap beef noodle soup. There’s a discount for students too.

What does one do after a too many sickly sweet cakes and desserts? Why, have more sickly sweet drinks to back it up! It’s tea-time! It’s Chatime! And I think my diabetic specialist will cry after reading this but. ONWARDS! At Chatime, I ordered the milk tea with pearls(or boba), 100% sweet(ened with honey) and I got a regular cup! Tea: 3⁄5 — Good flavour, nice strong tea taste and the honey was good! I can’t remember seeing on their menu if they did a roasted milk tea like in Sydney but that my friends, we can figure out on the next visit. Bubbles /boba: 3⁄5 — Yeah no. These guys were ok but they were inconsistent. Some were soft and chewy, others hard and not so pleasant. Sweetness(100%): 5⁄5 — Sealed cup means I can shake it up and get the flavours all right. And right it was. Perfect sugar rush for sitting in Central Park, buzzing slightly and watching the world go by. Ice: 3⁄5 — I would probably ask for less next time because towards the end, all I was left with was hard balls from too much ice. Value: 3⁄5 — it was fine, not outrageous and not terrible. This review is short, sweet and average. Much like their tea. Hrm.
