Just walked by this small but appetizing restaurant today. It was my first time eating in a peruvian restaurant and I really liked it. I ate the Ceviche Clásico and it was really yummy. Also the Passion Fruit Chilcano was perfectly done by the bartender. The service was good — friendly stuff, and we didn’t wait long for our orders. I will defintely stop by very soon and get another taste of peruvian food.

Holy crap, this place was amazing! Definitely a must if you want to try authentic Peruvian food, I came here with my family on Mother’s Day we were 4. Without a reservation, we waited about 5 minutes and were promptly seated. The ambient was great, smelled delicious, great music, and very professional service. The food took about 20 min, but it was totally worth the wait, and even though the sangria wasn’t what I expected just because there was a lack of fruit, their house cocktails are on point! I will definitely be back! Thanks Panca!

Lunch was enough for me. Not needing to go back for dinner or again probably. My friend and I thought we should be adventurous and try local Peruvian cuisine. …looked like a chill café but felt a little rushed as we were in a rush, staff was pushy and slow. The Ceviche special sampler and paid $ 25 alone for that. .note to future self to ask what the special price is. Also got chips and dip and two drinks. It added up fast.

I love ceviche, but I’ve found that a lot of places have tiny portions … Panca, on the other hand, does not skimp on its ceviche. I’ve had the ceviche mixto, and I love love love it. They give you a lot and it is very filling so even just one is a good portion for dinner(if you’re moderately hungry), in my opinion. I also ordered the anticuchos de corazon per the waitress’s suggestion. She told me they were very good, but for adventurous eaters(clearly, since not a lot of people in the US would exactly jump on eating a heart). Anyway, I tried them out because why not. RIQUISISISIMO. Tender and flavorful. I thank the calf that was sacrificed for this mouthwatering dish. You are appreciated, young one. I can only hope you were killed somewhat humanely(I actually didn’t realize it was veal until later … so the chances of it being treated well are slim). Another side note – I’ve come here when it’s been not too busy, and the service timing seemed slightly slow, but fine because I really enjoyed the food and wasn’t in a hurry.

Had a wonderful dinner here! A beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere. The cevice was fantastic and we loved the guacamole. My aji de gallina was different and delicious. My friend had the tallarin saltado de pollo which was equally as delicious. For a different, wonderful dining experience check this place out!

Don’t waste your money… I paid $ 12 for 4 slices of chewy small pieces of french toast. I’m allergic to strawberries, but I ate them to see if it helped the taste and it didn’t. Also, although I do speak Spanish… the staff BARELY speaks English… anyway, the ambiance was nice and that’s the only thing that was good about the experience.

As a native peruvian, I used to bring my friends here to try peruvian food. I remember when this place used to be Pardos Chicken, a famous rotisserie chicken franchise in Peru. This review is based on my last visit. I brought a peruvian friend and the entire experience was overshadowed by terrible service. The waitress got my drink order wrong, the food took forever to come out, service was slow and the manager kept interrupting our conversation to pay for the bill. Even though I signed for the check after, the manager approached me while my friend was in the restroom asking me to leave because other people were waiting for our table. It was very rude and unnecessary given that we were ready to leave and we had spent a reasonable amount on dinner that night(an appetizer, two entrees, dessert and two drinks each). I doubt I will be bringing people here anymore because it was embarrassing and the manager seemed to care more about filling those tables than actual customer service.

If you are around Greenwich Village and looking for some exotic yet tasty food, say no more, you gotta stop by Panca. Panca is a Peruvian restaurant that serves all variety of food(as Peruvians do… believe me, I am Peruvian). As Peruvian, of course, I want to try the different Peruvian restaurant options in NY… and I have! from Pio Pio to Surfish Bistro, Warique and so on, and if you don’t want to take my word, ask my friends who are not Peruvian but love its food. Alright, this is not about Peruvian food in general, but Panca itself. Where do I start? Let’s do pros and cons, to make it short but informative. Pros: Drinks: either during happy hour(M-F from 5pm to 7pm) or a regular times. Drinks at Panca will not leave you just happy(pun intended) but also with a nice flavor in your mouth and booze. If you are as adventurous as I am, don’t just stick to the famous pisco sour, try chilcanos, pisco mojitos, pisco punches and so more… and believe me, you will come out happier than when you went in! Bites:(this is a good way to try different options: taquitos, empanadas, chips w/guacamole, anticucho and so more. Just make sure you have plenty of space in your stomach… you will not regret it. Variety of food: This place does not focus only in the rotisserie chicken but also ceviche, seafood, pasta, steaks potatoes, rice and even vegetarian dishes. My faves are: trio ceviche, jalea, lomo saltado, gnochi andino and quinotto w/shrimps. Ambiance: It is cozy and kind of small(without bumping into each others tables) so hosting a party for over 10 people… might be doable but not the best place. Service: Although, it can get busy(especially on Fridays/Saturdays), you will not be waiting for long minutes to get your dish/drink/water. Actually, I had recently been there for a party of 6, and we all were satisfied with the prompt service. They are always attentive to your needs! Cons: Hmmm I can’t find any, seriously… that’s why I keep going to see If I found a flaw lol.

I do not know where to start. I had such a great time here the pisco sour is amazing. I ordered the ceviche and its like eating in peru the medium hot sauce that they provided for the food was also amazing and the perfect touch for the meal. The flan was also very amazing. The staff is so well managed, and the manager ricardo does such a great job with his team. They are so attentive. If you want to eat amazing peruvian food and experience amazing customer service… eat here. I had an amazing time and I can not wait to come back. I went with my family and everyone enjoyed the food, the staff, and the atmosphere here. It was truely amazing, defiently a place to check out for amazing peruvian food.

Ceviche is great and unique. The skirt steak dish was just ok. Overhyped beef. The rice it comes with is flavorful. The main issue is the service. We even advised them in advance that we were in a rush. Our request was apparently not acceptable.

Truth be told, aside from some Pisco Sours, I really haven’t had Peruvian food, at least, not to my knowledge. So, I had to try out Panca in the West Village. Immediately, upon arrival, you feel the authenticity. This isn’t a «Peruvian» restaurant, run by just anyone, it’s staffed with people from Peru. And right at the entrance, you’ll see a small prep/kitchen area where you can watch the food being prepared. To start, I ordered a Maracuya Sour(Pisco, passion fruit, fresh lime juice, egg whites, simple syrup). So good. It’s all the excellence of a Pisco Sour, with the addition of the tangy sweetness of passion fruit. No complaints on this one. So, some places do bread baskets to start, chips and salsa, but here, you’ll get a little bowl of Peruvian Corn. I absolutely loved this, these are addictive and I want a shopping bag full of them to-go. They’re the corn kernels, but almost airy, crisp, and a bit hallow on the inside. Topped with coarse grains of sea salt, these were perfection. To start, I had their Cebiche Clasico De Pescado(fresh fluke in leche de tigre). Another slam dunk. The fish was so fresh and I loved the fried squid with this, with the batter acting as a little sponge to soak up the citrusy flavors. Amazing. For my main I ordered the Pescadito Frito(Ensalada de Quinoa, Papas Amarillas Seared fresh filet of fish, quinoa salad, Peruvian yellow potatoes). This place doesn’t play. Everything I ordered was incredible, and I really loved this dish. The fish was light and flakey, with a mild flavor, that’s enhanced by this delicious sauce, that, yeah, can I get a bottle of that to go with by large bag of Peruvian Corn? The potatoes were another pure delight, slightly crisp, with a crunch, on the outside, and tender and soft on the inside. It was basically like a Peruvian fish and chips, but, like, possibly better. Ok, different. But still really, really good.

Went there for a pisco porton drink and ceviche but ended up with more pisco drinks and more food. They had a special person working behind the bar making fabulous cocktails with pisco porton(my fav pisco), so the drinks were amazing. The ceviche was good, and lomo saltado and arroz con pato were delicious. The space is not large but has a really cozy & comfy vibe. I’d come back for more pisco drinks!

Straight up? The very best part of this little spot is the COCKTAILS! I suggest you saddle up to the tiny bar before you head out to your dining destination. We tried & had 3rds of the MIA PISCO-Passion fruit juice, champagne, lime juice, agave syrup, LOCURADEAJIPISCO– Aji Amarillo, passion fruit, cilantro, lime juice, agave syrup, CHOLOONFIREPISCO– Cilantro, jalapeño, lime juice, agave syrup. All were exceptional! We were very late for our reservations so we were denied a table. We sat at the bar. It’s very intimate inside. The service was basically unfriendly, hurried & unapologetic. We had small plates only: TAQUITOSDEPESCADO– fish tacos, house tortillas, rocoto pepper tomatillo, shredded cabbage, pico de gallo. Excellent. CEBICHEMIXTO– fresh fluke, shrimp, calamari, octopus in rocoto leche de tigre which was good. And YUCCAFRIESWITHHUACATAYSOUCE which we ordered twice & promptly devoured. We just couldn’t get enough of that fantastic sauce! I’ve enjoyed many authentic Peruvian spots and although I liked this one, it didn’t blow my mind.

I’ve never had Peruvian food before but my friend chose this place for her birthday dinner so I was excited to try it. We ordered the Papa a la Huancaina as an appetizer — delicious! For my main course, I had the Aji de Gallina. Everything blended so well together and it left me wanting more even though I was full! For cocktail, I had the Pisco Mojito which was really good and fairly strong so you get your money’s worth. The server was friendly and helpful and we got our food and drinks fairly quickly. I’ll definitely come back here to try more!

Peruvian specialties — rotisserie chicken, ceviche, and strong drinks. Panca hits these marks as well as attentive service for a big group. Group of eight for a birthday dinner — able to make reservations on a Saturday night. To start off, shared the Empanadas($ 10) and Anticuchos de Corazon($ 12). The veal is incredibly juicy and served with a nice sauce to dip both the meat and yucca. Empanadas were crispy on the outside, and moderately plump with ingredients inside. For the main course I got the half chicken($ 11) by itself. Tender meat with a dipping sauce I found to be a bit on the sweet side, so made do without it. Cocktails range from $ 10 – 14, and are all strong. For the dinner it was quite satisfying — a little on the expensive side, but on par with Peruvian counterparts in the city. There’s value to be had if you’re just getting the chicken and a beer.

This place is AMAZING for the Sangria and their main course plates and of course the ceviche. It’s great for brunch with friends and they have an outside seating on the best street in the west village. For all the vegetarians out there this place has tons of options to choose from :)

Great Peruvian spot. For drinks Must try Pisco Sour, Maracuyà Sour and the spicy maracuya margarita. Spice level from 1 – 5 is a 4 Food, we only had starters BC we had already eaten elsewhere. Causa De pollo, great starter and yuca fries. We came back for the same round of drinks later that day.
