I work above Brookfield Place frequently and recently stopped in to grab a couple cocktails with my friend. When we sat at the bar, the bartender dropped off 2 oysters… we were unsure what to do with them since we clearly didn’t order them and we didn’t really hear him say anything. Finally we just decided to eat them — they were fantastic. We each had two cocktails which were AWESOME. I had the St. Germain Cocktail which was fantastic, as well as the Kelly which was super tasty as well. My friend had two sidecars which she loved as well. Unfortunately we didn’t have time for food, so thus 4 stars instead of 5. But I would give it another try for the cocktails alone!

I’ve been to this particular PJ Clarke’s before and really like it. The food never has disappointed me and the servings are plentiful. The drinks are expensive, but typical for Manhattan — I’m a Queens woman — but the bartender makes a mean Manhattan. Our waitress was Alita and she was phenomenal. Really nice, very helpful with decision making and somebody who obviously loves her job. Kudos!

Delicious! Such a nice, pleasant environment! The King George’s Shepard’s pie was delish — very flavorful and perfectly portioned. I will definitely return. Thank you!

Incredibly disappointing, ordered delivery, hamburger arrived soaking wet and inedible, skirt steak was very cold, and butterscotch pudding was completely liquid. I’m not exaggerating, I am a Pastry Chef and I attended Johnson & Wales, I rarely write a bad review, but this food was inedible. My husband called to complain, he was hung up on twice, after the third phone call to the restaurant he spoke to the manager who said they would resend our meal, only for them to deliver another hamburger that had a stale bread bun, so stale it was completely hard. The pudding again was a liquid mess. My husband then called back and spoke to a rude hostess and then to the manager again, he had to argue for a refund. He was just short of taking food back to restaurant and confronting the manager. We would never order food from here again. Absolutely horrible & inedible.

I went there twice it’s nice for after work drinks but I wouldn’t bring my friends there during my free time. Nice view during summer there are some outdoor sits.

I recently visited with friends in lower Manhattan and tried out PJ Clark’s for the first time. They were very accommodating of my friend’s stroller and we were lucky enough to be seated right away. Our server was very friendly and got our drinks and orders in quickly. I ordered a Hamburger Au Poivre which was fantastic. The burger was cooked medium rare as requested. I really enjoyed the flavor of the pepper sauce mixed with cheddar cheese and grilled onion and peppers. You must order fries on the side and you can choose from regular and sweet potato. My boyfriend and friend got the fish and chips which was a large serving. I had a bite and actually liked it(which is good since I don’t normally eat fish). It was fried nicely and was not too oily. Our other friend got fish tacos. She said that she found them bland but I did not try any. The rest of the meals were hits so i guess 3 of 4 wins. The restaurant was nice, much larger than I expected. I will definitely return once it starts to get warmer since I enjoy walking along the river. I noticed they had a brunch menu that was not very extensive but was also rather expensive. It incorporated more of the raw bar which explained the high cost of eggs. When splitting the bill, 4 lunches cost 120 with tip. This is higher than I’d normally like since we did not drink but once in a while it is a nice treat.

Perfect meal. When I asked the bartender for Heinz ketchup, he readily produced a bottle. And even though the Diet Coke came in a small glass bottle, he quickly refilled my glass at no charge from another bottle of Diet Coke(multiple times)! Not mention a great burger and fries. Well, well, worth it.

I was craving a burger, and being in the area I decided to try PJ Clarke’s. The interior itself is very cozy. As I was being seated, I asked for a tall table by the window and the host pointed me to one. As my friend and I sat there we realized that the area by our table was quickly becoming a stroller parking lot. We were surrounded by everyone’s stoller and things quickly went downhill from there. The host should have warned us that where we sat is a spot for strollers and people chatting-and not a good place to sit or at least asked us if we wanted to move when he saw the situation. He surely had enough time to chat and laugh with his co-workers but no time to pay attention to guests. Now the waitress, no smile, not welcoming. Took our order and went missing the entire time. I couldn’t get another drink and had to wait forever for the check. Now the food– the burger was okay, average. The french fries were average as well, the onion rings were extremely oily. When you pay $ 22 dollars for some burger and fries, you expect a bit of a better service and food. If I ever give this restaurant another shot it will not be this location.

Excellent burger, steamed brussels sprouts and wedge salad. Right on the water. Particularly beautiful when you can sit outside.

I had the mash potatoes and the bbq bleu Burger. I also tried the crab cake and the tator tots. The food definitely needs flavor and texture improvement but the service was great.

So I came here for the famous burger, often mentioned as one of the best in the city. The burger is really good, probably one of the best I have ever had, the bun is moist and the meat flavorful and juicy. So I was happy. My only complaint is that fries are sold separately, so you end up paying $ 12 for the burger plus $ 6 for the fries, which is pretty expensive for a burger. Also worth noting is that the tables outside are very nice, with fantastic views of the Statute of Liberty and the Hudson. I loved sitting here drinking a beer.

Lisa at the bar is OUTSTANDING. Great Service. Friendly. Hospitable. She makes is want to stay for hours and hours. We each had the BEST Bloody Mary’s, delicious beer battered haddock fish and chips, and the Cadillac Burger. So good. We will return soon and look for Lisa.

Amazing location. Amazing management. Amazing bartenders. The place was pretty busy(stopped by on a Monday night after work), yet service was prompt. Bartenders were super nice. Ordered tuna tartare — delicious(!) — and bread pudding for dessert. Perfection! Manager Zach was very attentive and made sure all guests had a great dining experience. Highly recommend this place!

Nice view, decent simple food(burgers and simple seafood), but $ 25 for a burger, fries and an iced tea is completely over the top. The service was ok. You can do better in the World Financial Center area.

Don’t waste your hard earned money at this place. With the exception of the service and location, the food really does suck ! For the price that you pay to eat here, you would expect the food to be better and held to a higher standard. * Chicken wings were over cooked and dried out * fried zucchini chips with Greek yogurt sauce and deep fried breaded feta was not only ice cold but abysmal. * hamburgers were overcooked * French fries were limpy and soggy * Cobb salad with sliced steak lacked life. I could have eaten the same crappy food at a sleaze joint like hooters or tgif for ½ the price. There are better selections available at Brookfield place.

Over priced and mediocre P.J. Clarke’s is in a great location, but the food left a lot to be desired. I ordered the mashed potatoes, they were ok. A colleague of mine ordered the Kimchi Burger with a Fried Egg, she said it was delicious. The Parmesan Crusted Eggplant Sticks didn’t have any taste, but the Crisp Parmesan Tater Tots were pretty good. I heard the Crispy Sweet & Spicy Duck Confit wasn’t good, another colleague sent it back to the kitchen. To be honest the food wasn’t that great. Not to mention it was really expensive.

This restaurant is located in brookfield place and is perfect for a nice sunny day. It offers magnificent views of the water and has a lot of foot traffic for people watching. The food here is very good but won’t amaze you and the drinks are fairly priced for the location

This place is definitely a great spot for post-work drinks! I came here recently after work and loved the location! The marina is right outside and if you can grab a patio spot, it’s nice to people watch while you chug down that ice cold beer. The Rhode Island calamari here is SOLID! Its great for sharing with a small group or just to munch on during happy hour. Definitely worth checking this place out if you haven’t. They have a good selection of beers too!

This place is good but they seem to be never open. I have gone many times when they should be open and they are locked up. The stop serving food at 5 on a Friday night but the bar opens until 9. Weird for a Fri. Now that it’s summer they have extended the hours which is cool and even have outdoor seating. This place is not too busy because it’s off the beaten path and the mall is under construction. Whenever I have gotten a chance to actually eat, the mac balls and fries are good. The drinks are always good. Giving the extra star hoping they will get it together. Best bet go on weekends to be sure you catch them open. They have a different menus for during the week and on weekends.

Wenn der Arbeitstag der Finanzschaffenden am World Financial Center hinter ihnen liegt, dann treffen sich alle Kollegen und Kolleginnen scheinbar mit Vorliebe im P.J. Clarkes.
